I think there's the problem. There's nothing to heal. I had a great childhood with my family and those are amazing positive memories, because of which I have irreparably higher levels of successful life choices than OP. Even if op were to get better he won't ever know what it feels like to be free of responsibilities, or true familial love or teenage love, cringy but cute things your crushes do around you, and so many other things. All OP can do is suck up what's happened, be ready for anything …

It does, my recommendation isn't to worry about quantam physics but to have better beliefs and thought patterns (which is where I agree with psychology) but I don't think their perspective is as good as many others. I won't discourage op from getting therapy, just know that rather than chasing comfort, validation or even peace, he needs to find strength.

First of all, I don't exactly feel any association with any internet buzzwords. Secondly in science wave function collapse, the Copenhagen interpretation and Quantam Physics point towards subjectivity of reality, not to mention most of philosophy had figured that out too. They tell you in the first class of logic that empirical evidence is forever inconclusive. Even so, life very well maybe objective, but that objectivity is unperceivable, we cannot observe it. How will you use science anyways t…

Never got around to studying psychology then? If we just talk about the more material aspects of stoicism, there's very very little overlap (even then it isn't taken from stoicism, just common sense) and even that is being reduced with time. The spiritual aspect of it is obviously nowhere to be found in psych. I also don't remember when Epictetus talked about taking SSRIs.

You sound very red pilled :( I don't hate women or care for much of the self pity people like that engage in, at most I'm redpilled but find incels as losers. Based on what you've said, anyone that takes on a new religion or reads lots of books and develops a new set of positive values and beliefs, will eventually feel 'healed'. So if they are being abused everyday, have poor self-awareness, are homeless, living in genuine poverty and struggle for their next meal or struggle with a learning diff…

Here's one study about just depression in psychologists: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3124780/#:~:text=Likewise%2C%20in%20a%20sample%20of,of%20suicidal%20ideation%20or%20behavior. You actually can "heal" yourself from your traumatic childhood by doing one exact thing (which is the basis of Psychotherapy anyways) and that is to fundamentally change your values and beliefs and understanding of the world around you. Stoicism and other lines of thinking too, are much better at making…

This is incredibly shallow advice and cannot help anyone. Don't go down this rabbithole OP, for a lack of a better term, it just turns you into a pussy who can't take on whatever life will throw at you. It has become a little cringe nowadays but Stoicism and working out are genuinely better solutions than any of this. Therapy can help remove specific habits though, but you should know what to listen to and what not. Most psychologists are mentally ill themselves.

Redpillers are generally more accepted and liked. People are perverse and the strongest person wins always. This is good for you honestly. Look at your life and try to actually find strength from it. Let go of most garbage you've heard on the internet including leftist and right wing messaging. Just look around you, be more confident and assert and take what you want. You'll have more success. Edit: when I say redpillers I mean the natural kind, who are redpilled by the life around them, not twi…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
