You made the leap that she wanted a man's cut, it doesn't say that. Woman comes in for a haircut, barber says I only cut men's hair, feminist feels wronged. That's all I get out of the post.

I’m saying a woman going to a barber and expecting a styled cut is going to very disappointed. “Women’s hair” means cut like a woman, not a #3 with a fade

They both need secondary training to be certified but barber = man hair and cosmetology = woman hair. Perfect example is from a comment here comparing an OBGYN to a urologist (both sex's see a urologist but they specialize in the male reproductive system and an OBGYN specializes with the female system)
