My wife and I aren't getting divorced. She suggesting that money that is sent to me because of SSDI should instead be sent to my wife (who lives with me). The only reason I'd think she'd suggest that my SSDI be sent to my wife is because she must think we'll one day get divorced. And if we got divorced and my SSDI was going to wife, I'd be totally fucked. I suspect a lot of people just agree to do whatever their told. But I'm not like that.

The money was actually for my children. This was a payout in addition for my Social Security until my kids hit 18. I suspect she was thinking that if my wife and I ever got divorced then the children's social security linked to my income would go directly to her without a legal fight. It's a way to take income away from me and give it to my wife. Hard not to see that as an agenda.

I got on disability a couple of years ago because I'm going blind. When I was approved the female agent from Social Security asked me if I wanted to have the checks deposited in my wife's name. I asked her why and she said that it just made it easier for a lot of people. When I told her no she got all pissy.

Feminism from the Women's Temperance movement until today was always upper middle class white women outraged at other people enjoying themselves.

Unlike the typical elite media targets of the cultural war, gamers understand how to use the internet against their foes. I expect the SJW will regroup and claim a hollow victory. But the real story is where the money flows.

I think I'll advise my still young son to go to school online. If he does go to a physical school, he should never, ever, date a girl at his own school.

You can't link her behavior to yours. Her behavior will have consequences (possibly) for her. But you legally can't use her behavior against her and hold money out. The court would see you as punishing your kids for your wife's behavior. And they don't reward that. Talk to a lawyer about the divorce. You'll probably end up having to spend a lot more than $500 a month.

I was using "privilege" here ironically. I see a huge connection between those who are trying to change gender norms and men's rights. What this post is about is the damned if you do/don't situation men now find themselves in. While a vocal minority of women get upset if you look at them, the vast majority are driven by evolution to get you to look at them. It's a no win situation for men and it can have implications on their rights since there appears to be an entire movement dedicated to makin…

In the world of victimization, some women feel like they've been sexually assaulted for much different reasons than the criteria that the legal system uses. These women then go march in the street an demand social justice. It's why they want colleges not to use the actual justice system to police rape cases - because the bar can be lowered to redefine what "rape" is in a college hearing.

The caveat applies to women that don't have an expectation of being looked at (self image). Also hormones drive a lot of male and female behavior. Scientists tell us that women wear shorter skirts the closer they are to ovulating. Just don't mention science to a feminist!
/r/MensRights11/12/14 06:47 PM

Fair enough. I was thinking of the whole cat calling video and how a lot of "real" women get upset if you don't look at them.

So the Washington Post is almost calling the whole thing a hoax at this point: "Jackie has now given her friends two different names for the man she was with that night. Neither of them was in fact with her, ever dated her, or even knew her all that well. She appears to have invented a suitor, complete with fake text messages and a fake photo, which suggests a capacity for somewhat elaborate deception. Jackie, though, has not recanted her story. Her attorney would not answer questions for the Po…

Don't leave the house until legally separated. Talk to a lawyer before you start the process. If you have possessions from before you got married that you want to keep you might want to give them to other family members. If you lose kids you will have to pay child support and possibly alimony. Don't sign anything! Consider all that before you start.

To judge non-moderns by current standards misses the point. They lived under very different physical circumstances. So they developed different social norms to deal with those circumstances. It's easy to judge their values now as wrong. But until you understand what their day to day lives were like, you're being rash. Consider that division of labor in the past evolved around farming, hunting, child raising and warfare. Does your GF do any of those activities? Than maybe she shouldn't judge.

I made a snarky comment but I have a question here. Is it worth pushing back on sexist women? They have all the rights. One phone call and you're in a lot of hot water with the legal or child welfare system. The game is rigged to keep you silent.

You might be able to hire a lawyer based upon her assets. She might have to pay for your side of the divorce. And you might get alimony if you play this right.
/r/MensRights03/12/14 02:03 AM

A lot of the equity went to the lawyers. And no the child support doesn't decrease but the alimony does. The big win for him is that she didn't get rich off his back and get full custody of the kids. He kept pointing out to her, every dime spent on the lawyers is a nickel you don't get. She never learned. She wanted to "win" and "teach him a lesson." That cost her a bunch of money.

My brother got divorced in CA. Things in CA aren't horrible. The assets are automatically assumed to be divided 50/50. But in order to get more than 50% the one who wants more has to prove why they should get it. My brother's wife wanted him to give up his guns, wanted the house, full custody, child support and life time alimony. After several years of fighting, what she got - they sold the house and split the income, she got the kids 4 days a week, she got limited, yearly decreasing alimony/chi…

Moral panic - an intense feeling expressed in a population about an issue that appears to threaten the social order. Moral panics are in essence controversies that involve arguments and social tension, and in which disagreement is difficult because the matter at its center is taboo. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moral_panic

Logical fallacy right up front - there are not three types of men. For me, having integrity means "don’t give a f*." You have to learn not to care for other people's expectations before you can figure out what values you have.
/r/MensRights22/11/14 02:34 PM

Fair enough. It's just so dehumanizing. If all people don't have rights, none do. And the social outcomes for treating half the population poorly won't be good for either sex.
/r/MensRights22/11/14 06:17 AM

That's a very means justifies the ends argument. It's like a four year old putting fingers in ears to not hear information. If you follow that logic far enough, male suffering 1) doesn't matter 2) is deserved 3) should be encouraged

I love how they'll print the (former) accuser's name, Regina Rush, now. But they won't print the name of an accuser to begin with. Which is part of the problem. They should send Ms Rush to jail because of the harm she caused. And as an example to her mockery and disdain for the legal system.

I think they can be viewed as a "conservative" group (not to be confused with Conservatives). Someone who is conservative is romantically attached to the past and once to return to how things used to be. Feminists seem to be romantically attached to the 60's and 70's when they were fighting a fight supported by most people. They carry around the mantle as if they speak for all women. But they know they don't.

Feminism appears to have undergone serious mission creep. Their policies have the result on destroying the college hookup culture. A culture the Left help create in the 1960's as a freedom movement. Feminist now appear to be anti-sex. The modern Victorians are feminists.
