Age is not the issue, the 8 year-old with the drug addicted Mom is the issue. You probably want your own children? This 8 year-old will be resentful of the new sibling and the fact that his two parents are not together. If you were my daughter, I’d tell you back away.

I’m a little older and have more experience. This sweet 8 year-old WILL be a handful in middle school and high school? How do I know? Because the drug addicted Mom is still in the picture. This 21 year-old will probably want her own children. That affects the first son, as well. He starts to feel resentful of the new siblings and that his mom and dad aren’t together. I agree with you, the ages are not the issue.

Contrary to other commentators, I think seeking out a man at least 10 years older is wise. Why not find someone secure in their career and finances? I think it’s smart! Just be careful, because a lot of men that age might already be divorced with a couple of kids. You do NOT want that headache and stress!

No degree is worthless. You can get into marketing or business. Why did you change your mind about law school? If you don’t want to be a trial lawyer, you could work for a big law firm and handle only estates, or similar less stressful fields. Think about it. Or, go ahead and graduate and work for a few years to see what direction you want to go. Oh? If I could only be your age. You have the world in front of you. No need to make rash decisions...you have time on your side. But don’t quit colleg…
