This is terrible. I'm from Asia and I don't think women fro. Asia let themselves go like this or simply turn into a blob after marriage.

As long as you are old and reach the stage when you are unable to care for yourself, your family will either engage a helper or put you in a nursing home. Your elderly wife will not have the energy and strength to move you around or could have passed on before you. Either way, you will still be alone, with a non related helper or at the nursing home. Enjoy ourselves now and do what we want.

I used to watch International House Hunt on tv and westerners seem to prefer the Carribeans, Mexico & Ecuador for the low cost of living. When I vacation in Thailand, I come across westerners who married a Thai , start a family and settle in Chiang Mai. Seems very idylic and carefree. Danang Vietnam seems quite popular too. Another place that has gathered quite a bit of attention recently is Penang. Mainly for the low cost of living.

A gal I know supports feminism because she WAS earning more for a while. Any family outings, is compromised, have to support her business errands, hobbies, commitments. He felt she is behaving like a man. So her husband lets her earn her $ and lets her pay for family household. He pays for the kids' education and car, house and does his own laundry and cooking. If he is not working and at home, he will cook his own meals and the kids' meals. His wife is free to go out and do whatever she likes. …

Used to work in healthcare. If you're really old , towards the end of life, you will be going in and out of the hospital countless times. One of your family member gotta make the time to do these checking in and out of hospital. Wife & kids will view you as a burden. Only in some instances, you will see family visiting and be by the bedside. The single men who died, usually have their buddies or nephews/nieces visiting and helping them. In any case, the hospital will handle the bills if you died…

This is true. There was a dude who was in hospital for 3 weeks and not once did his wife visited him. She dropped by only when he's in the morgue to settle some paper work.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
