Google "learned helplessness" it's probably that. Also since you misspelled it multiple times it's "psychology"

The one thing redpill people are right about is that women are more likely to date attractive, fit guys with status. That's within your control to some extent! Work on improving yourself and naturally the girls will go your way when you approach them. One of the many things they're wrong about is that aggro/alpha personalities draw in women. That's very rarely the case. Women actually see that behavior as dangerous and threatening, and they're pretty tuned into their needs wrt safety. A confiden…

So it's true. Just not a good idea. I agree with that.

Redpill ideology is not aimed at or suited to women. They generally already know all of the things that disprove it through their lived experience. A short list of online heteropatriarchical subcultures that may be more aimed at women would be: Tradwives FDS female dating strategy "the rules" which I think is the grandparent or great-aunt of the above. If it's still around. pick-me culture

Top 75% probably. It's a weird question to even ask. Redpill people highly exaggerate this. If you are having trouble you can try lowering your standards. My guess is that you aren't approaching enough women or are off-putting when you do. Develop inner confidence and that will help your outcomes. Women should either find it kinda flattering and reject you, or reciprocate your interest. If you're not finding that to be the case, try it in different settings where they are more comfortable. Not f…

I think confidence is highly predictive of success. People tend to go after traits that are highly predictive of success. Don't think it's more complicated than that. In my experience there's rarely any reason to not project confidence.

lol what are you talking about. people might be disgusted by witnessing visible poverty but that's a reaction stemming from empathy because the witness is capable of seeing themselves in the shoes of the impoverished and recoils at the thought. they're definitely not "celebrating" it regardless of the person's gender.

I think you're conflating the inherent value of every human being with the function that different sexes can serve in society. As a socialist I think every human being is entitled to a good standard of living: safe shelter food water, community and an enriching job. But in so far as there are sex differences in comparative advantages they are as follows: Women are more important for reproduction and repopulation. Men have higher capacity for violence. I don't really think either of those conclus…

Probably that younger women prefer older men and that this trend is rational but also harmful to society. There's some meme about how "the moment you turn 16 you're competing for girls in your class with grown men" and it rings kinda true. I had no luck with women until my early 20's, partly because I wasn't established yet but also partly because women seemed to default to going for men a few years up. Older men have more resources, experience, etc, but a lot of the time they're doing this to c…

Go to therapy and then probably stop talking about it. I don't talk much about the bad things I've done because I don't think about them that much, and I don't feel that I should. It's not healthy to, actually. That's what the therapy is for is to process it so that you can stop doing it so much.

redpill guys aren't very successful in dating or even mating, rich redpill influencers are though. one thing that the redpill people are right about is that women are drawn to what they perceive as power and status. Rich influencers have a lot of that and it's trivial to play it up a little more with lies, bluster and exaggerations. If you can learn anything from them it's that being "high value" is good for your prospects for attraction. But regardless of your value, solid relationships are bui…

I don't think it's problematic by itself, it's really just a reminder to keep your self-esteem high and to not settle. Women make similar statements and it's not seen as strange. If accompanied by a rash of other misogyny then it could help establish a pattern of weirdness.

I have the enlightened moderate position: women often actually do prefer a big dick, but only when their other sexual and emotional needs (including orgasm) are taken care of first and not jeopardized, they have no conditions around painful sex and they feel comfortable. If she's not very turned on and tented, you're going to be banging away on the cervix instead of "getting deep" Most of the sensitive areas of the vagina/vulva are not deep. But some are, and when you can get into those fornices…

I sometimes get into passionate but well-mannered arguments with (strong feminist) women in my life about this topic. It's an interesting conversation but largely inconsequential. Whether life is harder for women on the whole is unrelated to their need for political equality and equal workplace treatment. My take is that both genders face different but serious impediments to their happiness and that based on the experiences of transpeople, the gap is probably small. And we always pretty much con…

I think you're weirdly scared of being hurt and that you have an anxious attachment style that you should work on, but unlike most commenters here I don't think you need to avoid dating, just understand that it's not your date/partner's job to help you work through your insecurities. I'm not sure why people are so keen to recommend breaks from dating. Nothing was better for my confidence or helped me face some fears than going on a lot of dates. You don't owe anyone some period of penance and ch…

I'm confused, why does her wanting to do cocaine mean that she has nothing to offer? I stay away from all hard drugs as a matter of principle, and I'm even an alcohol avoider but I don't judge people's entire value off of whether they indulge. One (male) friend I have is one of the smartest people I know and is a coke user who is now quitting. If you think she is smart and has other good attributes, why not voice your concerns about the coke use and nudge her gently to quit while you grow your r…

“Bad sex is not somehow worse for women” Ok buddy. I hate this sub because people will make overall okay points that hinge on some bullshit like this. Let me spell it out for you: bad sex is way worse for women. They have a hole that is penetrated that need to be wet. They are usually on the bottom and have less control over the encounter. Bad sex hurts for women. As far as a negative physical experience for men it’s almost always stuff like: “oh no, I didn’t get hard fast enough, or finished to…

Alright, TRP can mean whatever an individual wants it to, just like feminist can. They’re both words used to describe pretty big groups. I want to suggest that three things are true: 1 TRP does tell you all three of those things, but for many people includes other facets and choices. 2 Feminism is not incompatible with those things, at all. 3 The actions and words of the typical TRPer are a lot more extreme and further from what I believe than what you’re leading the commentariat to believe with…

Of course toxic femininity exists. I can even identify key parts of it and I internalize examples of it when I see them. Slut-shaming, fashion-shaming, lack of frugality, materialism, incessant classism, gossip, inability to keep secrets, preoccupation with weight and appearance. That doesn’t make it as bad as toxic masculinity though? Write about it if you like.

I think the wider distribution is well supported. I’m not even close to believing that the median man is even a grain of intelligence smarter than the median woman. You’re gonna need evidence that’s about 50x as conclusive.

Because women should not rely on men to be financially stable. That is patriarchy itself. It is female weakness. I don't care about this word "shallow." Everyone is attracted to certain things, often the same things and will pursue those, but being a burden makes you a weak person, and being unable to provide for yourself puts you at risk of exploitation.

Doesn't have much to do with bone structure actually: http://m.wikihow.com/Get-Wider-Shoulders Okay, I've heard that it doesn't count as that but say what you will. The point is that attractions are built in fairly early on and while there may be some malleability there people don't really control it.

People identify with (and present as) genders for complex reasons that can't be explained by social self-interest. Otherwise nobody would be trans. Physical security an entirely different thing, but wanting to feel feminine may have literally nothing to do with social feedback. I like the adrenaline kick I get from certain "masculine" activities and I do believe that I could be conditioned the opposite way equally well even in the absence of continued feedback.

That was mostly self-deprecation, I do genuinely care, too. I have a lot of LGB friends and family (and they happen to be my favorite ones, too), and I'm very pro-choice as a matter of principle. Somewhat moderate on the feminism really, I will stand my ground on things and I still try to push for things like eliminating mandatory child support when I'll be heard out.

I really do think that it's usually just about looks and primal attraction. There's not much you can do there except to try to create it. I'm gonna go ahead and endorse that as being non-coercive sexual strategy: totally permissible and advisable.

It doesn't seem highly rigorous and the question was on a second date, not "wife" but I'm sure that those numbers aren't outside of the ballpark of real values anyway. It's interesting to note. People don't lower their standards much, for sure, but I don't see anything "fragile" about this, just people acting in financial self-interest.

Every man can be broad-shouldered and somewhere between lean+wiry and buff though. I'm 5'11" but my tinder says 6 foot so I'm not entirely disagreeing here, but sexual selection does not have to be a fair process. I'm not really attracted to black women and while that's not something they can change, it's also not something that I can change. People like what they like and as long as they're cool and respectful then they can select or deny sex and relationships as they see fit. Watch the double-…

I think people in this thread are confusing masculine looks and strength with hyper-masculine ideology, which is a cancer upon our society. I am fairly assertive, but non-aggressive and mildly spoken. I do not coerce, and I do not spread hate. I work for progressive causes. I don't take risks without assessing the pros and cons. I'm pretty sensitive towards the feelings of others. I also dress casually and athletically and work out 4 times a week and I have the thighs of a norse god. Forsaking t…

Nothing wrong with her getting moved to a female prison. I'd expect that. If she got released early for being a girl then I have a problem, if it was strictly for good behavior then I don't give a shit and this isn't a pussy pass.

Well, misandry refers to the hatred of men. While I don't think many feminists reach this level, about half go too far in their endeavors for gender equality.
