This is most likely a stupid question, but a serious one: what kind of power do feminists have over insurance companies. To big business like them, money is everything, so how can a business saving itself money be a problem?

What exactly do you find not morally acceptable?

I'm glad this is the top comment, and rightly so. If you're familiar with any crime TV shows (48 Hours is my favorite), I would say that 95% of the time, it is the suspect incriminates him/her self. Just by talking to the police, you are giving them ammo. DO NOT TALK TO THE POLICE WHATSOEVER! They can and WILL use anything against you in court. This will save you from any charge thrown at you.

I'm not sure this is necessarily the case, simply because "aggressive" and "exciting" are relative terms, dependent on what the woman thinks. My wife thinks of me as both aggressive and exciting, but talk to anyone else that knows me, and they would refute that. I think the more likely reason is that they just want something different, someone that stands out and alone from the rest. That is something that I've noticed most women go for. They want originality, not cliche "nice guys" who are will…

Can someone please explain to me why this is a men's rights issue I know that might seem like a stupid question, but in my mind, there are many diseases out there that do not receive as much attention as breast cancer, so I guess I'm wondering why this one in particular is a men's rights issue.

That's difficult to answer. It may not be inferior, but just different. But I don't see why people do it. There's no practical purpose for it.

worthless Hardly. It contains many nerve endings, which may help stimulation during sexual intercourse. The studies have not been conclusive on this matter (why I said "may"). From personal experience, I can tell you that many women, after experiencing my uncut penis, now prefer uncircumcised men. This may not be true of all women, I know, but don't cut us down yet. I say if a woman wants it, then let her have it.

Thank you for pointing this out. This story has already been posted, and in fact, I asked the same question you did regarding this story. Seriously guys, this has nothing to do with the mensrights. There is not even a hint of gender inequality in this story. So why is this here? Is mensrights turning into a let's-hate-female-criminals subreddit? Post stories that show an actual gender inequlaity.

I cant believe you're being upvoted for this completely irrational argument. >hypothetical unfavorable What real unfavorable ruling do you se in this article? Speculate all you want about what might have happened, it didn't. And to hate on this woman, this story or whatever it is that everyone is hating on for something that hasn't even happened, is ridiculous. Edit: typos

Are you kidding me? What is this guy, a goddamn clairvoyant? Theres no way he anticipated that she was going to shoot him. Had he anticipated it, you think he would have walked risked his life like that? Highly unlikely. Your entire argument is entirely speculative and to draw the conclusion that this story most certainly would have ended in the man being prosecuted is not necessarily a testament as to why (because he's a man, you say) that would be the reason.

Why is this on /r/mensrights? I don't see anywhere in the article that shows any disparaging inequalities between males and females. Did I miss something, or is /r/mensrights turning into /r/feminism?

Exactly. He may not be model status, but when you compare him to the other Jack-ass crew, he is definitely the best looking guy in the bunch (imo), and this is an important factor. People will almost always give more attention to to good-looking people. It creates an instant attraction that almost demands attention, with or without the person knowing it. This is not to sound conceited, but this has been true for me my entire life. I've been told that I'm incredibly good looking, and looking back…

What's your point? Do you have evidence that men receive harsher sentences? That is the point. If you take more than just a quick glance at /r/mensrights front page, you'll find your evidence. In fact, one of the purposes of /r/mensrights is to point out the inequalities of such sentences.

I agree. I also didn't receive my first kiss until I was 19, but it wasn't because I wasn't able to. I had many more important things on my mind then - sports, school, hobbies. I had plenty of female friends, but I just wasn't interested, even if they were. It almost seems to me that people are placing far too much importance on this. Not just the first kiss, but the first lay, first gf, first everything. I get it, though. It's exciting, it's new territory. And I realize that things aren't going…

What about someone who is drugged then has sex, with the consent of the drugged? Alcohol is also drug, but I would figure that most people would an even bigger problem with a case in which a person is under the influence of a stronger drug.

Yeah, my brother did the same out in CA (Bay area). He's (was) a photographer by profession (has expensive-ass equipment like yourself), but he did make his own media pass and it worked. He wasn't really looking to get laid, though. Just be social and have some fun.

This is great advice, but (and I hate to be the cynical one here)... you're with your dream girl. Its easy for you to say all this now. It doesn't make it any less true, but saying this after you got what you wanted, well, that carries a little less weight for me. You're elated. I get it. And you should be. I don't know... maybe I'm just being a duche right now. Maybe it just took this one connection for you to finally realize the whole point of this goddamn "game" we're playing. But if the conn…

If you are correct in your understanding, there seems to be a contradiction. Sexism, racism, all -isms, give rights and privileges to one group over another. How is that constitutional? I can understand the view that, generally speaking, men are more ably and likely to adapt to the rigors of the military, but basing a law on that presumption is no better than creating one that forces every other race but one to participate in jury duty simply because the rest are more likely to to be educated an…

How is this NOT sexist? Its a perfect example of the law giving privilege to one group of citizens over another, and its over something they can't even change: sex. Are citizens born into privilege, is that how our constitution works now?

You make an excellent point. I guess it just bothers me that we don't have a perfect system for fighting this. I didn't know false rape accusations were that prevalent. Now that I do know, I have to agree with you. There will be casualties, unfortunately, in the process, but the end result will be with it. Great argument.

If thise tactics are given ONLY to women, then its fine to post them where only women see them. But if they're given to rapists too, that's where I see a problem.

I'm not questioning whether or not there will be change, I'm questioning whether or not that change will be good. Sometimes people are better off not knowing. Sometimes knowledge is dangerous. Wouldn't you agree? In this instance, especially if its not that prevalent, I'm not so sure arming women with any new ideas regarding false rape accusations does any good. What do you think?

I'm not sure I like the idea of this even being posted. Just hear me out. I don't know if women using rape to not get charged with a DUI is a significant problem. Personally, I've never heard of it until now. But the article states only two instances of this. So why all the fuss? I'm not saying that false rape claims are not a problem. Far from it. But posting this article for everyone to see is just going to spread the word that it can be done. Fortunately, this woman was caught. But how many m…

Kissing on the lips is usually reserved for romantic partners (in the U.S. anyway). As such, it would definitely be strange watching either mother or father kissing their child in that manner.

Man, you hit right on the money. On doubting the relationship, however, I'm wondering if he has a legitimate reason for being fearful of what might happen. It doesn't seem fair that he's judging her based on statistics, instead of his history with HER. Why should either of them have to pay for others' mistakes? I have those same fears myself, so I'd like to think I understand where he's coming from, but at the same time, it doesn't make sense. Or am I wrong?
