What's your skin care routine? I put lotion on my face and neck area after I shower but that's about it.

If you don't mind, I would like to know. I myself am wondering about this and whether it is a good option for myself.

Sounds about right to me. I've been digging into this crap for a while considering my dad was missing or 'underperforming' for important parts of my childhood. Not his fault, but what can you do. The struggle I am currently facing is how to solve the issue. I don't feel like I have much support beyond 'misogynistic' internet forums internet, mostly because I don't trust the good men in my life to be honest or realistic with me about it. I imagine when I decide to pick a direction for development…

They'll figure out it eventually. Even those public intellectuals who are most aware of the issues are unable to do anything or speak out about it. It's also possible that they are still blind to reality. I find the common attitude among both conservatives and the progressives is that it is men who have some sort of responsibility to fix the situation, either by fixing themselves or by standing up and addressing the problem. This kind of advice is typically pretty vague. It's also either not sin…

Not to tell you what to do, but I encourage you to think of this time as a trial to go through for the sake of yourself. I recently went through a time where I hated both my parents, but came to see them and others and myself as the children we all are. Still working on acceptance, but I no longer hate them. Hate is not an emotion I want to cultivate. My mom probably shouldn't have picked my dad to marry, but she was young and stupid and from a background of foster care and parental abuse, so sh…

Maybe not where you live, which suggests that you live in an environment where women put little effort into their physical wellbeing. It would explain in part why you surf the manosphere.

There's hot 60 year olds. She's a fit chick and being into fitness is basically anti-aging. I wish more women were into it.

Ok, so most of these answers are pretty useless, so here it goes. What you’re feeling is normal. So is your frustration at your lack of ability with women, despite the fact that outwardly everything looks fine. The problem is that you were probably never intentionally taught how to interact with them, you were fed a bunch of bullshit through the media, and now the ‘social programming’ meant to steer your mating drive is a fucked up mess of axe commercials, advice from well meaning morons, and no…

That’s interesting, I have met plenty of people who lived like this in the Netherlands, where I grew up. But here in Georgia, USA it’s a foreign concept.

Hey man, think of him as offering you his perspective, not telling you what to do. He’s got a point, it just could have been expressed a little more compassionately.

Hey. The mankind project has been a place for me become more aware of how I show up in the world. I did the weekend, which was good. Thankfully there was a local group where I live that continues the work done on the weekend. I’ve been attending this group weekly, and continue to grow as a person. This all sounds very vague, and it is hard to describe the processes that we do in few words. The result is that I have become better at holding onto myself in daily life. I still struggle with managin…

What’s happening is a broader audience that is asking broader questions. I’m literally wondering aloud at what the result of this will be.

I appreciate your tangent. And I agree with most of what you’ve written. But where I get stuck is here: what is the end game for this particular struggle? Individualism is now huge aspect of modern living, partly because technology allows it. You’re not going to be able to fool a bunch of people into some sort of new pseudo religion centered around social stability, even if you wanted to. At least, if it’s possible, I don’t think it is as easy as might have been. So then what happens to MGTOW in…

I agree with what you’re saying. The problems that I see are mostly centered around getting anywhere near this topic in public debates/public policy. And then, how do you create a curriculum that is free of propaganda/idiology. I trust a math class because answers are easily verifiable and the educator can be held accountable without too muh trouble. But social science? I just don’t see society being able to objectively discuss these topics anytime soon.

This is America, there’s plenty of Christians. But loyalty is probably the same as everywhere else.

Would we educate them as a way to inoculate them? Surely red pill rage comes not from the red pill itself but from disillusionment and the revelation that the strategy we’ve been investing in has been the wrong one this whole time.

What was the catalyst for changing the bitterness into positive energy? Did it happen all at once, or was it a wound, slowly healed?

I think you’re right in the sense that these things haven’t changed much. I think that people’s perceptions are changing. With the advent of technology and science, never have men been more able to discuss these ideas. So what has changed is that we are becoming more self-aware as a species. And it is the disillusionment of breaking up with our imagined selves that is kicking up a lot of shit right now. People 2000 years ago couldn’t give two shits about philosophy, and most would barely travel …

If you know what a search image is, it’s kinda like that. Think of a biologist looking for a particular type of insect. At first, it is really hard to see for the biologist. Can’t find them anywhere, and wouldn’t even know what to look for. Then once he catches a couple, he starts to understand what it is he should be looking for to catch more bugs. This might be convoluted, but the idea is basically that until you know what you’re looking for, you can’t see it. Which is a paradox, but as you ge…

None. It’s about perceiving patterns that have to be explained first.

And what’s crazy is that people are just able to identify it, and they’re calling her out on it. I wouldn’t even think twice if somebody said this to me. I’d be like sure, what a sad story. But it’s real. I just swallowed the pill.

It hasn’t died out completely. Look into the ManKind Project. It has its origins in the mythopoetic men’s movement, and The book Iron John is a major part of how the organization does its work. It’s a group dedicated to bettering men’s lives. It’s very mainstream-friendly in how it presents itself, but their sole focus is helping men figure out and live their own truths and values. To me this sounds very similar to MGTOW. I did the weekend and have been attending a local men’s circle for two yea…

You still have that inner strength, you just need a safe place to nourish it. Find yourself a local men’s group. A place where you can interact with other men, share your thoughts and feelings without fear of judgment, but with the knowledge that other men will hold you accountable. Think of sports clubs, male-dominated actvities where the social connection is really the reason they exist. Think a game of dominoes, or darts, or crafting some other sort of meaningless game that brings men togethe…

Alright, a few things. What bugs me about this subs is that it spends a lot of time pushing the narrative that men should stay away from women, and GTOW. However I have not seen much in the way of helping men figure out how to do that, beyond the ‘go do what you like instead of being in relationship with women’. I judge that this is not very helpful for those who aren’t already fed up with the nonsense of dating and the trappings women. Here is my advice to you: learn about masculinity, and deci…
