If your wife is all PMS stressed you back down from being the "I'm going to bang you like a screen door in a hurricane" alpha and give her a little "let me rub your back and watch TV with you" beta. Comforting a woman isn't beta. It's still her leaning on you. But if she starts expecting or demanding something from you then it starts to become beta. I'm not sure where to draw the line on this one actually.

Fake it til you make it means that you go up to a girl with confidence, and act you you don't care whether she rejects you, not that you have to lie about things that you've done. Lying about being a virgin would probably be a good idea, but that's not what this advice is saying to do. Personally, I usually feel kinda bad lying about things so'll I'll make things I've done sound more awesome by only telling them what they need to know, but I'll never straight just make something up.

Why would they be having sex with you, if you didn't demonstrate high value? I agree with what you're saying, it just seems like a contradiction. Like I'm assuming you didn't demonstrate high value long enough, or it was a long time ago and the way she felt about you afterwords, "overwrote" how she felt about you earlier.
