I made the mistake of engaging some on FB who was comparing Turner's sentence with that of a baby killer. https://www.buzzfeed.com/tasneemnashrulla/sorority-sister-sentenced-to-life-in-prison-for-killing-baby "Ok, so gender gaps exist in crime and punishment as well when it comes to college. Women are "supposed" to be maternal and make babies - so why would we ever throw them out, abort them, not want them??? Judge gives this college girl LIFE in prison. But a college guy who apparently goes to …

I am not trying to diminish your experience, but what you are dealing with is poorly trained security guards. a true loss prevention professional will be blind to gender as well as age. but then again the only time you will encounter a true loss prevention pro is if you have actually concealed an item, passed all points of sale, and exited the building.

"Foley says that Ontario’s Family Responsibility Office now has an enforcement order and last year sought a six-month jail sentence for him, which was to extend indefinitely, until the overdue support was paid." so they want to jail him until the support is paid, which then prevents him from earning any money, which means the support will never get paid. seems like a sound plan to me.

Rape should be classified as a violation of personal integrity, rather than a violent crime, according to the researchers. So if you misrepresent yourself as let's say a millionaire, and then the other party finds out you lied. Then you made them look foolish and can now be convicted of rape? ಠ_ಠ
