Women want tall men as an ideal. It's just an ideal. Like how men want supermodels with big boobs. Insecure people blow it way out of proportion and letting it give you anxiety when dating is the wrong choice.

Yeah, it's a gradiant. Still think TRP is more on the delusional side of things.

Right. Don Quixote told himself something and he believed it, and we laugh at him because it was ridiculous.

Identifying as a badass macho man doesn't make you one. You're conflating different ideas. Yes you construct a subconscious identity, but most people don't go around reshaping their identity consciously so it's intuitive to insult women. Also your username is cringy, apologize for using it.

Why do you think a person with good hygiene doesn't use Axe spray? Axe is for people who smell bad, TRP is for people with messed up psyches.

Lol your personal role models don't like math, so I can't? Do you really believe people can't have varied interests and desires?

No. I'd give up sex to be the person to solve the Riemann hypothesis. Maybe you personally have no ambitions, but other men want to be important in the world.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/09/16 03:12 PM

No, it's not. Sex is really not as important as you think.

You say this, but I just linked to a TBP post that does exactly that. They weren't. They were mocking it's context and how the advice is used by TRP. What that exact thread is mocking is they claim the ONLY practical advice TRP ever gives is to lift weights. Nothing about grooming, hygiene, dressing, not being a sociopath, all anyone ever says is "go lift". Also, TRP is NOT the only place to get the advice to lift. It's not "splitting hairs", it's you being deliberately stupid to paint a picture…

Do you think john Stewart and fag Colbert are sex symbols? Yeah that totally doesn't come across rhetorical at all.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/09/16 10:02 PM

Nobody mocks that advice. Nobody. Working out is a good thing to do and literally everybody on TBP agrees with it. You're twisting words and misinterpreting the mocking any time you think they're doing that. Do we criticize you for overemphasizing weightlifting? Yes. Do we criticize you for trying to monopolize in general good advice? Yes. But we don't criticize exercise.

The Soviet Union was largely sexless and banned pornography, United States had an expansive porn industry and uses sex for everything. Both the Soviet Union and America expanded women's rights, so that I'll call even. Soviet Union clearly more authoritarian, conservative (no civil rights revolution in the Soviet countries), both competed for space but Soviets opposed modern biology with Lysenkoism, the Soviet Union was also clearly far more ascetic than the hedonistic Americans, and clearly foll…

I think you're being hyperbolic and silly. I'm telling you nobody on TBP actually believes working out is a bad thing or whatever. I don't get why you keep arguing.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/09/16 09:44 PM

That's not actually mocking the advice to lift, it's mocking how overemphasized it is in TRP.

You're misinterpreting it. There was a funny thread stickied a while back mocking the very fact that redpillers seem to think we oppose shit like that. We're more likely to satirize the fact that TRP is so insular/delusional they think this exact way.

Been seeing more and more of this lately - guy and girl have a good first date. Guy follows up with girl. They never see each other again and there is no second date. How? Where? Who? In general it seems meeting people through friends or other real world soctal connections is the way people look for long-term partners, I honestly think 95% of people think of dating apps as "less serious" than old-fashioned methods.

Different context, different implications. Nodding can be consent but it depends on context, like I said.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/09/16 12:36 AM
1

So you see the damn point: a nod without surrounding context is not consent. If two people have already consented, then a nod may serve as such. My guess is that most of that 44% of women interpreted that question that way.

So if I walk into a convenience store, grab a case of liquor and nod in agreement with the cashier, then run without paying, I haven't stolen because the cashier and I nodded?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/09/16 11:09 PM

shows that almost half of all college women– full 44 percent–think that when a woman gives a guy a “nod in agreement,” that isn’t enough for consent. A nod isn't enough for consent, nor does that study suggest that women believe they can retract consent. Literally all it suggests is that a nod is not an unambiguous consent form.

I interact with feminists and have had sex with a few. I have never been accused of rape. The big question you should be asking yourself is, why are women regretting having sex with people if these are "normal" sexual encounters?

Good. So we agree that rape (being a catch-all here for all forms of sexual crime) is not always intentional?

I had a close friend who assaulted a girl, he was never found guilty because everyone told the girl to keep silent, and he was not "evil" in any normal sense of the word. Being horny, coked-up and drunk removes a person's ability to reason. And this person did not penetrate, but still wwnt too far, all it takes is one night of unclear thinking, a misunderstanding of her intentions (he didnt understand consent properly) and drugs for something bad to happen. What I was saying was that if we accep…

I see no convincing evidence that "regret-rape" is a thing at all, nor with false accusations. You claim it's going on but do you have anything to suggest it's true? Statistical evidence, not anecdotes.

I see nobody saying we ban fraternities, it's more like we should change the perception that getting wasted and going to parties is a good eay to find a short-term partner.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/09/16 12:06 PM

A very large portion of people committing assault aren't consciously trying to commit assault. This 1970's cop show take on the world, with bad guys skulking around trying to find people to victimize is so completely ignorant about how the world works that it makes me wonder if you take this idea seriously. Can you cite any academic work at all that suggests this the pattern in sexual assaults or are you just spinning a comfortable narrative?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/09/16 11:56 AM

Partying doesn't cause rape rapists cause rape. I very much disagree with this mentality. Being surrounded by people who normalize certain stereotypes and create a macho sex culture make it easier to make choices that violate another's consent. Alcohol makes it easier to ignore/forget these boundaries. There'is also not some magical rape essence that one needs to have in order to rape, either. Saying "rapists rape" gives an impression that sexual assaults are only done by some archetypal siniste…

But where's the stuff about insulting her? Making her feel dread? There's nothing about having sex with other women to show your status? Disagrees with my ideology, this must be bogus feminist pseudo-science. /s (I should add that I'm not a big fan of using "science" as a buzzword to promote life advice, it's too easily misused, but nonetheless I find this to be compatible with my perspective and life experiences)

It's only the same is she starks stalking, leaving creepy voice mails, whining on social media and other shit that "friendzoned" guys do. I also have literally never heard of a girl using a guys desire for sex to leverage a relationship. Usually it's "ugh won't he back off?"
/r/PurplePillDebate30/07/16 05:12 PM

Lol no, most bad behaviors are emergent, not intentional. Doing it for a sense of machismo, as a source of pride, to "prove something", or disregard for the partner's long term desires, i.e. being intentionally manipulative, like when you know a girl is trying to find a long-term partner and you're not. Having sex because both people are perfectly content with everything is ideal, people should strive for that. Personally I think the "I just enjoy it" line TRP pushes is bullshit, there's a highe…

Not if one has a persistent, long-term attraction, but if someone is like that they have fucked up. If you like someone, try to get them, if they're not into it, find another person to long for. You simply can't repress emotion. However if they both get sexual release, and get along well, then sure they can be friends.

Yeah, I got what was being said. I think TRP is human, which means they are absolutely terrible ay intuitive statistics. All of the studies suggest people are fucking terrible at figuring out the actual frequency of events and are prone to ideological bias.

Honestly part of what destroyed TRP philosophy for me was reading about the Harry Harlow isolation experiments. Basically they took these monkeys and separated them from other monkeys for long periods of time to see what it did to the monkeys. It fucked them up pretty bad. So how was this relevant to me? A person I respected, when engaging with the views I held, told me that the experiments "had never been performed on a person, but you can be the first voluntary subject if you want." Basically …

Very few incels never approach. Most incels approach, but they don't approach in a contextually appropriate way. Knowing when to approach a woman isn't just about the will to do it, it's about reading social situations intuitively, understanding contexts, and so forth. It seems to me most incels approach at awkward times, when a woman isn't receptive. What is fuelling your erroneous belief that incels would be fine if they just approached a little more is a very common mistake called the just wo…
