Oklahoma calls it second degree manslaughter. It’s basically the same thing and is a death caused by negligence. Edit: I just saw all your comments saying this same thing to numerous people. You called OP a liar but you are spreading misinformation. I’m not saying you lied but you are incorrect.

They have charged the woman with manslaughter and breaking “Nathan’s law” neither of which stuck because what she did can be argued does not fit either definition. They should try again with involuntary manslaughter and they probably will.

If you read the rest of my replies and you’ll see that I agree with that and I’ve change my original position.

I guess that is true.

I am speaking to the form of FGM where the clitoris is removed. This is done to intentionally harm the female’s sexual ability. It is a form of oppression and the inability to enjoy sex is not a side effect, it is the entire purpose of the action.

When I hear FGM I automatically think of the removal of the clitoris and that is what I was referring to in my original comment. I can easily see how lesser degrees of FGM where they remove part of the outer labia can be compared. That article was a good read.

I agreed that male circumcision should be outlawed. I disagree that they can be compared. One completely disables sexual ability where the other does not.

No.

I am not disagreeing with the point you are making but female circumcision is different. They are removing most if not all of the clitoris and some time all of the external parts of the vagina. It really is mutilation. A woman will have no sexual pleasure after it is performed. Again, I agree with you but it isn’t apples to apples.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
