You sound like my friend who swears he can hit .250 in the big leagues 😂

You are in the early 30's sweet spot right now where you still have youth on your side but you also have a little bit of experience now. At that age you can basically date almost any age of woman you come across as well.

I used to deal with this problem all the time. You're at that age where if you go to certain types of places people are looking to challenge and fight. A lot of guys in their early 20s are douchebags who eventually chill out. Either have to just deal with it or find new spots. I'm in my early 30s now and rarely have to deal with it.

Now if it was drinks and she insisted on a friend then I'd say ok and bring a friend of my own. But dinner? Sounds like they are trying to score a free meal.

You seem a little bit insecure OP. It's good that you realized it though, now you can work on fixing it.

This post says more about you OP than those pictures say about her.

Is there anything wrong with completely owning it by just throwing it over your shoulder and carrying on having a good time? I've done this before and it's actually a really good way to peacock.

She's probably interested but barely knows you at all so is bringing a friend for safety/comfort.

You look fine. Good smile and you are tall. Are you socially awkward? Do you have a lot of friends in general? You seem pretty mature and maybe a little too serious for a 21 year old which isn't a bad thing. I think it's cool you are in to all of that stuff but maybe these young girls just think you are kind of weird? You also don't have much confidence right now, that much is clear. That's not going to help you.

Try some self-deprecating humor.

What do you mean? People can actually tell if you look at their story?

I like that. "How are you? Do you like salad?" She'll be like WTF? Then say, "I love it. Let's go eat some tomorrow. Pick you up at 8:30?" Seriously though, OP. Shit like that works you just have to say it with confidence.

I don't like texting, but how can I talk to her without texting her and keep interest until our hangout? Flip the scenario. She doesn't text you jackshit all week and it's driving you nuts for her. If you did the same you'd likely get a similar reaction. I never text other than to get a meetup. Way too much can go wrong. And not texting gives the appearance that you are a busy person with a lot going on which is desirable.

I have a rule and it's I don't care how bad the date is going, I always go for the kiss on the first date. ALWAYS. This way there is no "should I do now or wait or maybe right now, no next time". If I haven't done it by the time the date is over I always walk the girl to the door. Don't even ask just tell her you are walking her to her door. Then when you say goodnight you just go in for it. It's as simple as that I promise you.

I have some friends who are good at text game but I just suck at it. I only use it to get a meet up and nothing more. I find the more I text the more I screw up my chances at a meet up.

The sidebar has all sorts of pointers for you. Make sure to put on a show for her friends too though. If they like you as well it will only help.

In addition to whatever you are saying to "make it clear from the get go" you'll need to back it up with your actions. Just do what single you does and don't do what relationship you would do. Eventually you're probably going to have a DTR convo at which point you can reiterate. At that point they'll either accept that you don't want a relationship and stick around or they'll decide to leave. If they decide to leave or are even leaning that way, don't convince them otherwise, just let them go or…

I like this guy. Good tips and he's not douchey at all.

Parties are even easier than a bar because you both have some sort of connection to the host. You may not know the host prior to the event and she may not either (could be the whole friend of a friend who knows the host brought me) but there is some sort of connection which allows everyone involved to relax a bit. In other words, while you may be a stranger, you aren't a rando. So a good question is to introduce yourself and then follow up with "so how do you know the host?"

Use this to your advantage by inviting her over to your place to watch a movie.

I always go for a kiss on the first date. Having a rule like this actually helps. There is no pondering during the date if you should do it or not; you've made up your mind that you are going to do it.

Exactly. Someone provides an example of someone who is bald and OP responds with more of his own shortfalls.

How do you think he got wealthy and famous? It's because he's good looking.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
