It happened to me. It's was first time with someone new in over 18yrs. She understood and I finished her off different way. The next time was fine and worked just as before, maybe even better as she is hotter and thinner than my ex. I think it's just nerves the first time.

I waited few months after separating, still not technically divorced but living separately. I've done the work and still am working through things but it is nice to hookup and go on dates and have fun without getting too emotionally entangled. Just had amazing sex with this girl, who's also ok dating and having fun without getting too serious at the moment. It may lead to that at certain point but not anytime soon.

I "deleted" pics of my STBXW and me together. And when I say deleted, I archived it in my photo account so I technically still have access but just like in my real life, our relationship has been archived and I have to make an extra effort to access them which I have not. I still kept the pictures with our kids in it. I don't have pictures hung up on the walls so that wasn't an issue.

I've always preferred admitting up front instead of mental manipulation to put blame back on the others. Of course there needs to be work done after to truly repair and resolve but not taking accountability and blaming it on others is manipulation, no matter how you classify it. There's only one accountability, owning up to the fact that you did wrong or wronged another person then working to resolve. We need to stop making excuses up for people who can't admit fault or take accountability.

Spot on and well written. I was married for 12, together for 15. She came from a very wealthy family. Raised by single father early on. Mine was opposite. My parents were married for 50yrs before my mom passed. We didn't have much growing up but we had each other. My ex wanted a certain lifestyle. I do well for myself to the point she could be a SAHM. We had a nice house and cars but I struggled to provide her the life she wanted. I thought I could make up for that by taking on more of the house…

Looking back. There were faults on both sides but in my case, she basically told me that I didn't make enough money for her and her wanting a certain lifestyle. We have 2 young kids. I make good money but she comes from the top 1% family. I guess I wasn't enough... Not too broken over it now. I can actually save some money instead of feeding her insatiable shopping habit that her dad can pay for instead of me.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
