The laws are supposed to protect the accused, unfortunately those protections have been chipped away through the years. True victims have always had protections, identities concealed, restraining orders ect. 3	How false accusations destroy lives The larger problem that I see is that her word alone was enough to convict HIM. Women accuse rich and powerful men all the time and those cases rarely make it to court. Rape should be difficult to prove. I believe the worse the crime and longer the sentence, the more evidence should be needed.
