I said it can get dark. Do you think that means just sexual things? No, some (and not just a few) of those comments are about sexually abusing those girls. I'm not going to dig them up to give examples.

By derogatory comments, I wasn't thinking of the guys calling celebs "mid." I meant the comments about what these guys want to do to them (and it can get pretty dark). So yeah, I'd say the misogyny on reddit far exceeds the amount of misandry found in women's spaces.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/02/24 03:22 AM

Misandrist? Go to any female celebrity sub on reddit and you will find men making all kinds of derogatory comments about said person. Not to mention all the porn subs. If the few "women safe places" bother you that much, don't go to them.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/02/24 08:20 PM

I'm a woman. My brother (who is now married) always had a way easier time getting dates and romantic interest than I did. That said, I do agree that the average man is outnumbered and will have a harder time on dating apps. There also aren't as many women looking for casual sex (compared to men) so the ones who are have their pick.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/02/24 07:03 AM

If a woman asks a guy out he will nevr refuse This is so ridiculous and untrue. I've both seen and experienced it (and the guys weren't hot "Chads" either).

I suppose so. Idk much about it, but assumed it was a heavily male-dominated activity. Well at least you got somewhere. Better than the apps, because even if you get nothing it's not a total waste of time.

I used to know an "ugly" guy who I was very very attracted to (multiple people have agreed he's ugly) and he's now with a girl much prettier than me. He also plays guitar, is funny and has game. No money required, he never spent a dime on me.

D&D didn't attract women? Is this sarcasm? (I genuinely can't tell)

When I hear someone play the victim card that hard, I run. I'm good with that.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/01/24 05:56 AM

But when modern feminism blew every female's ego higher than Wonka's elevator Don't worry, many women still hate themselves and feel ugly. The ones who say it out loud will be looked upon with pity and probably don't want that. It's much more socially acceptable and effective to pretend you're confident. Not to mention that when women express our insecurities they are sometimes used against us, for example some men might then see an easy target for NSA sex. So the attitude can be a form of self-…

This sub can be very toxic on both sides
/r/PurplePillDebate25/01/24 01:09 AM

I watched the video, that was 15 minutes I can never get back. The guy went to far too much trouble to explain something that could have been summed up in a few sentences. And made the point far more complicated than it is.

A lot of people take these meds actually. I started gaining weight on them almost instantly. Not saying we still shouldn't eat healthier and exercise.

Not sure. The majority of people I know (not me) had sex by like late teens-early 20s.

If that's how you feel it is best to marry young. I also prefer men who have not "been around" and racked up a lot of partners, but as we get older it becomes less likely. You are free to uphold whatever standards you wish. However, it becomes hypocritical when guys expect women to sleep with them right away because they've done that with guys in the past, but then shame those women for doing so. How can you look down on someone for having casual sex and require it at the same time.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/22 01:17 AM
5

They can try, but it's not a guarantee they will be able to do so. Speaking from experience, if you've remained a virgin into adulthood, you're not going to go for just anyone. Some have high standards and/or may be religious and want someone from a certain background, etc. It's not as simple as "just go for younger women." And if you're going as young as teens to find virgins, that obviously makes you a predator.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/08/22 09:39 PM
4

I completely understand, just think you're a hypocrite and very unrealistic. You've had sex before, you don't have to sleep with every woman you go out with immediately. I'm sure you want to, but it's not disrespectful to do otherwise. You don't have to be the same in every relationship. If you don't want to make any effort with women and expect things to come easy, you're going to have a harder time is the reality. I can complain about men not putting effort in for me because I'm average lookin…

All men are not going to pursue and secure relationships with this exact age group of women...that's just bizarre.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/08/22 09:28 PM
8

This is spot on. I can complain all day about guys not pursuing or wanting a relationship with me. Just as OP complains about not being the "alpha male" that has women falling all over him. The reality is that women who stay virgins into adulthood (as I did) are not usually the ones these men idealize and chase.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/08/22 09:26 PM
8

You don't "trust" people who do casual sex, yet you complain about not getting it. Is this thread even for real?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/08/22 09:19 PM
7

You don't have to "pay" for anything. Walk away and find someone who puts out easier if that's all you care about. You want quick and easy sex from women, yet prefer virgins? You make zero sense. You'll likely be waiting a lot longer with a virgin than a non-virgin who makes you wait a while.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/08/22 09:17 PM
5

So...woman hooks up with a guy casually when she's lonely or in a dry spell, decides casual sex is not for her, but now she's obligated to do it with every guy thereafter? The way you define "respect" is just unreal. Women must have sex with you Right away out of "respect" because they've done it before with someone else. How is that respecting her at all?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/08/22 09:14 PM
6

Not all younger women want to date older men.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/08/22 09:09 PM
5

I think this is something younger women enjoy doing. I got tired of it in my 30s. I mean, I still like to go out with friends occasionally, drink and dance, but the "drunken male attention" gets tired and non-validating after a while. I'm single, but if I were in a relationship, I feel like flirting with other men would not be respectful to my partner either.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/08/22 07:44 PM
5

I find it pretty disgusting that you would want to go and take advantage of women in poverty. If the situation you described really does exist, it's clear they would be trading sex for your perceived wealth/resources. Status as you said. You can get prostitutes here for that too. Maybe stop using "biology" to excuse the fact that you're a predator.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/08/22 11:24 PM
0

I never said anyone gets tired of sex. You guys pull weird things out of my comments. I said playing the field aka sleeping around. Of course sex is still going to be an important part of a relationship, but it's not the only thing.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/08/22 03:19 AM
2

At the end the Madonna gets what she wants from the relationship. No. I've heard of marriages where the man does not feel sexual desire toward his wife because he already put her in the "virgin" category, and lusts after the "whores" or promiscuous women while at the same time not respecting them. That's why it's a complex. Not because it ends up happily ever after for everyone.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/08/22 01:59 AM
10

Absolutely! Men are getting too depraved and having ridiculous demands/expectations from it. Now a woman just wanting vanilla sex with you means she's not attracted? GTFO

Women are shamed about this all the time on here. Not that I agree with AF-BB being nearly as prevalent as men think it is. What I would say happens more often is that both women and men get to a point where they want to settle down and have a family, and are tired of playing the field. Then, it becomes not just about sex and who is "hot" but finding a stable and compatible partner as well. Women seem to get there earlier, in part because they know their time to have kids is going to run out (so…

Vagina doesn't have an expiration date. There are thirsty men of all ages who will chase 40+ women for sex. I got hit on by a 17 year old in my 30s. Also divorcees looking for a new partner. Kids who think 30 is "the wall" are very naive.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/08/22 06:55 PM
3

No but to say girls will go nuts over a guy just because he's Korean is extreme and ridiculous.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/22 08:50 AM
3

That's a bit extreme. I've been attracted to Asian guys since before anime, kpop and kdrama became mainstream. However, I wasn't going to go crazy over any guy just because they were Asian. Similar with white guys, I'm attracted to some and not others.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/22 08:46 AM
-2

This seems unreliable and outdated. Asian men are very popular these days, since BTS and Kpop/Kdrama got huge. I've always found Asian guys attractive (I'm white).
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/22 08:25 AM
1

No, because people are unreasonably picky online. The same girls who say 6ft+ would probably date a 5"8 guy they met and fell for irl. The same type of (very average) men who ignored my messages online because I wasn't hot enough would hit on me in bars. OLD apps are not the best source of anything.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/07/22 09:20 PM
1

Yeah that looks like a reliable source /s And even if it is, OLD filters are still not the best way to determine people's preferences. Most people are pickier on OLD and a lot of women don't take it seriously.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/07/22 09:14 AM
1

I think 5"10 guys are quite commonly desired by many women. It's still fairly tall, it's not like I said I prefer 5"5, though I have dated or had crushes on guys that height as well. A lot of people have ridiculous standards online. I think if these same people meet and click with someone irl a lot of that goes out the window. I've found that OLD is a waste of time for me personally. Plus, most men will add at least 2-3 inches in height on their profiles.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/07/22 05:51 PM

Casual sex is not better than nothing for me. Many women don't like it and prefer to stay single if that's all a guy has to offer. No one is "only good enough for sex" and men who think this way are the ones I deliberately avoid. It just shows your lack of respect for other humans.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/07/22 05:49 PM

Everything I've said about my dating experience is in past tense. I've been out of the dating scene for 2 years. No, I'm not nice, I may have been at one time or at least was on the surface. But I'm done with being a doormat and putting up with people's bulls**t.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/07/22 03:11 AM

Wrong. That was me and I've had trouble, known other similar girls who did too. We are shy.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/07/22 03:08 AM

No woman should ever struggle to find a man This statement is delusional. Men and women both struggle. Women can get messages online, sure, but majority of guys just want casual sex, and most of us aren't looking for that.

there are already successful and thoroughly decent guys who will be willing to turn out the lights for sex F*** you too. I need to get off this sub.

F*** you for suggesting plastic surgery. You clearly think the physical is all that matters when it comes to women's attractiveness.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/07/22 03:04 AM

No it doesn't. Women with great bodies can still not do well in dating.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/07/22 03:01 AM

Almost any woman can get sex if they want to, you don't have to be good looking for that. But most women don't want just sex.

Wow thanks I'm cured
/r/PurplePillDebate26/07/22 02:51 AM

I'm guessing someone told you this as well.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/07/22 02:46 AM
1

I totally agree. Maybe that's why my experience doesn't seem to line up with what men on here describe as the typical woman's experience. I have a friend who's also average looking, couldn't get anywhere with guys here in Canada and most rejected her. Then she moved to the states and was in LTR and married not long after. Another friend told me she got hit on way more while on vacation in US than she does here. If only I were American...not even joking at this point lol
/r/PurplePillDebate26/07/22 02:11 AM

Thank you! I really appreciate that.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/07/22 01:34 AM

Yeah...I live in a city and am mostly ignored here, unless it's just for hookup or the type of guys I said. But I did move to a smaller town further up north for a while...which had a lot of farming/redneck types and got interest from average/better looking guys there. I should have stayed even though it was like -50C wind chill in winter lol I turned 40 this year, so think it will have to be a literal miracle at this point. Just the other day a woman had legit shock on her face when I told her …
/r/PurplePillDebate26/07/22 01:27 AM
2

Yeah, it could be that I give off a weird vibe due to social anxiety, or that I don't have a really pretty face. But I was mostly only able to attract guys who were overweight, short etc for LTR. I say "was" because I've been out of the dating scene for some time now. I was 5"6, thin with long hair throughout my teens-20s. Was rejected by most average-looking (taller than me and not chubby) guys I liked.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/07/22 12:48 AM
1

We prefer men taller than ourselves, yeah. They don't have to be 6 ft+ Men here rely too much on "scientific studies" vs real life experience.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/07/22 12:40 AM
3

being thin with longer hair and being pleasant to those you like is pretty much all it takes to be set It wasn't enough for me (I live in Canada BTW). But I've heard American men are less picky.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/07/22 12:37 AM
7

Was thin and nice most of my life, it wasn't enough. Not being super pretty + social anxiety did me in many times.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/07/22 12:36 AM
3

I know a girl who did this. She was definitely not ugly, cute face but overweight and not conventionally attractive. Was ignored by guys for the most part, developed her personality/intelligence/talents and scored a good looking husband.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/07/22 12:34 AM
3

For the CC, yes it is. In fact losing weight not even required. A relationship takes more than that.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/07/22 12:27 AM
2

Not being on the CC is a definite win. And it doesn't mean you're undesirable by any means. Average girls do get ignored/rejected in favor of less attractive girls who seem open to hooking up, or "hot" girls being chased by men who have no chance. I've seen and lived it.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/07/22 12:25 AM
1

I feel like you're being sarcastic, I'm not saying it's any great feat, quite the opposite - that super tall is not everyone's preference. Maybe those women were purposely trying to insult you.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/07/22 12:19 AM
1

A woman with an unattractive face, but with a slender figure and a well-trained butt will get a lot of attention from men. Only for sex. This was literally me in my teens-20s. I wouldn't even say my face was unattractive, just average, and I was slim with a good butt. I attracted good looking men for casual sex (which I turned down) and mostly below average looking (overweight, short etc) for dating/relationships. I was rejected due to my looks multiple times as well. I've gained some weight sin…
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/22 11:16 PM
1

That's dumb. I'm 5"6 and prefer 5"10 over 6"2 TBH (I've dated men very close to both heights).
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/22 11:12 PM
0

Women are clueless about our own experiences. Ok
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/22 09:17 PM
1

Ok, thanks for the breakdown, that is interesting. Wow that's higher than I thought (for rent) I pay less than that for a 2 bedroom here. But I also live in a cheaper area than some others in Canada.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/22 08:14 PM
0

We were talking about the average person's salary (or "average guy" in general). I live in Canada so I'm not sure how much rent is there, but I would assume 35k per year is enough to rent an apartment? Minimum wage would not be, but that's lower than average.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/22 06:19 AM
2

Men on reddit rely too much on "surveys" vs actual life experience. I'm not going to disagree most women prefer a tall guy over short but I know of no one who has a 6 ft + requirement unless the girl is 6 ft herself. Most women are fine with a guy taller than them without a major height difference.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/22 06:10 AM
2

Yes I said most of us want someone taller than us. I agree with that.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/22 06:09 AM
1

I'm probably older than most on here and come from a different generation (I'm an older millenial), so that could be true.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/22 06:08 AM
-2

Steve Buscemi 🤣 I do live in the west, rent an apartment and am in debt lol. But I also make way below average wages (I'm min wage/low income). Based on the average income (I've looked it up) renting an apartment should be doable.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/22 02:25 AM
2

I guess so. I've literally never known a woman who said that even though men on reddit act like it's every woman they've ever come across. Most of us just want someone taller than ourselves. That said, if a guy is unattractive being short won't help. But if he's a short and ugly but charming MF who makes us laugh he will score.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/22 02:17 AM
-2

You're 21, which is young, and it depends on the circumstances. I also lived with family off and on during my 20s. I honestly can't afford the apartment I'm renting now, but got to a point where I couldn't stand living with people anymore lol, unless it's just one roommate I choose myself.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/22 02:15 AM
5

This is the most true comment here.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/22 02:12 AM
6

😂 ... I wouldn't say we fetishisize short dudes but most of this is not wrong. Height is not a deal breaker for everyone as guys will claim on here.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/22 02:10 AM
-7

Doesn't live alone? What age range/culture are we talking about here? I know it's the norm in some cultures for people to live with family until they are married. But in Western culture, the average adult male should have a job that allows him to rent a one bedroom apartment. The other things I might agree with, but what's considered "not great shape" and "average looks" can vary quite a bit based on opinion.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/22 02:07 AM
1

Girls who change their personality to whoever she's dating at the time. Omg yes lol...I had a friend who was like textbook definition pickme and she would always do this.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/22 11:44 PM
2

Yeah, there are some cases where the girl is not sleeping with others (while guy is), but sticking around hoping he will change or commit to her eventually. The situation you're talking about I've literally never heard of happening irl.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/22 02:54 AM
4

A Chad? This doesn't sound far off what people here claim those guys are doing - sleeping with multiple women who throw themselves at him without him having to commit or put any real effort in.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/22 01:22 AM
2

I'm most likely too old for any of the guys on this sub. I come here to impart the wisdom of my failures.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/07/22 03:58 AM
3

Money = pretty face = attracting a man with money?...so maybe in the end it pays for itself 😂
/r/PurplePillDebate19/07/22 08:11 PM
3

Yeah, apparently he knows more about what I want than I do. /s
/r/PurplePillDebate19/07/22 07:12 PM
1

I disagree. Men of that description can get women out of their league - I've seen it.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/07/22 06:36 PM
3

Yeah I can't afford stuff like that.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/07/22 06:35 PM
1

Men have a better chance of making up for their face Exactly. Being fit and having a personality will make up for it.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/07/22 06:06 PM
2

Yeah...but who wants to be the person who was settled for because the guy had no other options. :/
/r/PurplePillDebate19/07/22 05:58 PM
2

Not sure. I would rather a fit guy with average face than an overweight guy with a good looking face. I think for men it's the opposite. They will take the average girl for a hookup but their girlfriend has to be pretty.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/07/22 05:51 PM
3

Idk...most guys seem to want a naturally pretty girl without makeup. An average girl with makeup is below many guy's standards for more than hookup.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/07/22 05:37 PM
7

Lol...Men here complain that women are shallow about looks, then invalidate or ignore any woman who thinks differently. Confirmation bias.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/07/22 04:38 PM
5

Why would this be my fantasy? I was the girl and was so upset about it, you could ask any of my friends lol, I literally cried over the guy. They thought he was ugly or below average but he had the type of personality and humor that attracts me. Men don't understand this about women, or don't want to admit that sometimes looks aren't the issue.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/07/22 04:27 PM
2

Not true in my case. Up until my 30s I was very slim and had a great figure, but an average face. Many guys rejected me online, even ones I messaged first who were very average themselves (I avoid the Chads because I don't want to get played). A friend of mine who is skinny with average face has had similar experiences. We are not outgoing though, both reserved and shy, but different once you get to know us.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/07/22 04:21 PM
1

😂 ... I often use this example, but I once met a short ugly guy at a bar. Somehow the way he flirted and carried himself made him one of the hottest guys I've ever seen (I met up with him again, so can confirm it wasn't beer goggles). He was really smart and funny and made great conversation. In the end, he rejected me and is now with a girl much prettier than me.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/07/22 04:18 PM
3

For women having a pretty face is #1. Which you are either born with or not. I think men of any height and race can be attractive if they get in shape and dress well.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/07/22 04:13 PM
1

Not ugly! If that's what you meant?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/07/22 05:23 AM
5

No, you don't have to be hot. I've seen ugly guys who got pretty girls if they had confidence, humor etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/07/22 06:32 PM
3

Guys can totally do this, agree 100%.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/07/22 07:00 AM
6

I'm not going to disagree with circumcision being wrong, but please do not compare it to female GM. Not even remotely the same thing. My ex made that claim and it drove me crazy.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/22 07:37 PM
2

Yes, in reality most people end up settling for someone close to their own looks level, unless the guy is rich.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/22 06:47 PM
1

I don't disagree with that.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/22 05:47 PM
1

Presentable/attractive meets men's requirements for casual sex. Many men want someone naturally gorgeous for a long term partner. I hear men saying they won't go below a "6" even for casual. While a 5 would be the actual average woman.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/22 05:46 PM
14

could is the key word. Most men will lower their standards to get sex, because less women are looking for just casual so beggars can't be choosers. But usually they will not commit to those same women.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/22 03:39 AM
26

When they talk about having low standards, they just mean for sex (which is true). What men here won't admit to is having much higher looks standards for a serious relationship or marriage.

I stopped having such strong looks preferences. I was very skinny up until my 30s. Skinny is still my ideal type (regardless of height) but I realize that's an unfair standard now since I've gained some weight myself.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/22 02:26 AM
1

That would explain why men desire sex more but it wouldn’t say why men find more women attractive Yes it would. It makes sense to me that if you're more horny, you're going to find more people attractive off the bat. Vs women tend to develop a stronger sexual attraction once we know someone and catch feelings.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/07/22 10:43 PM
1

They do, it just doesn't always happen instantly. Women can get turned on by such guys if they feel a connection. Short, skinny guys were actually my type for a long time, I even preferred them over taller and built guys. We aren't all the same. It's just that many women (including myself) don't get turned on by just looking at a random guy, even if he's good looking. I need to have a crush first.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/07/22 10:33 PM
20

I think it's because men generally have a higher sex drive (more testosterone)?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/07/22 10:00 PM
2

Lol. I don't know about that. I won't have sex outside a relationship so most guys don't want to bother.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/07/22 12:01 AM
1

Because women are conditioned to be subtle and try to downplay ourselves, however there is also a lot of competition that goes on which many are in denial about. Men can just be more straightforward because they are encouraged to be. No one will bat an eye if men tell it like it is, but women might be seen as b*tches, and we are taught to be people pleasers. That said, I have one friend who brags incessantly. No humble brags, just straight up look at me, I'm the best. (I actually have distanced …

Why? If you're going to say show it off, I have, and that only attracts guys wanting sex. I can get better looking guys for that, probably 7s. I meant who I attract for serious dating/relationships.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/07/22 02:05 AM

Hm...I hope you're right. But I'm probably a 5 and usually attract like 3-4s so idk.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/22 11:14 PM

Not sure what this all means. I agree about many women being higher earners these days, and the man having a higher income less of a priority. I do think guys still aim out of their league in looks most of the time, unless it's just for casual.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/22 09:03 PM
0

Not sure what that means. The higher tier males aim lower?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/22 08:50 PM
1

Agree. But women usually want a man who can provide aka makes more money than them. Men want a woman (for serious relationship) who is better looking than them. Unless it's for casual sex, then men's standards are very low.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/22 08:46 PM
1

So do the men! Unless it's just for sex.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/22 08:44 PM
1

I prefer average height and size. I find it more attractive looking. I was once making out with a guy and he pulled his out (after I asked him not to). He thought I would be soo impressed because he had a big dick. No, he was arrogant and it was a turnoff.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/22 08:31 AM
2

It's okay. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. I just get frustrated about guys always thinking girls have such an easy time in dating and never get rejected.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/22 07:42 AM
2

All the time? I've never even heard of this happening. That's so mean! :( I do have to admit the cold approach makes me really uncomfortable, but that's because I have social anxiety anyway. I prefer to get to know someone gradually.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/22 05:48 AM
1

You said she will have "no problem attracting her type" if she doesn't "hide" her body. That basically means show it off? I'm telling you that when women do that, we get guys trying for hookups. Not the kind of relationships we actually want.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/22 03:12 AM
2

Actually it was. I was using OLD up until just a few years ago, and it was already very mainstream by then. Most people I knew had been or were on it. I think POF still exists even, just has declined in popularity compared to some of the others.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/22 04:54 AM
2

I definitely don't give off the vibe that I'm open to that. I'm quite reserved looking I've been told. But I tried other sites besides POF as well and had similar results. Just to give you an example of what I mean by average, I was slim at the time (5"6, between 120-140 lbs), and would message guys that were a bit taller than me but not over 6 ft, average size (not ripped but not fat), close in age. Several ignored me. And I started getting more replies and dates when I went for shorter (close …
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/22 03:03 AM
2

Actually the average ones were more likely to ignore me, even if I messaged first. The good looking players would try for sex and below average wanted to date, was generally how it went. But you'll probably just conclude that I'm below avg myself based on this.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/22 02:54 AM
2

Yeah I'm not sure. I was on POF, not tinder. Just saying we aren't always matching with these types of men ourselves. I was more likely to get hit up by a better looking guy for hookups and less attractive for dates.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/22 02:32 AM
3

Well I do think reddit may attract a certain demographic (more introverts and nerds I'm guessing, not necessarily the life of the party).
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/22 02:29 AM

All these comments are pissing me off. Seriously you guys have no clue. I had a great body when younger, and when I showed it off, I got guys trying for hookups. When I kept it covered up was mostly ignored.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/22 02:18 AM

This is terrible advice. She'll just get men wanting hookups then.

My standards are not far off hers, I'm even ok with 5"7 (I'm 5"6) and pretty much any job as long as he can hold one down. I do like skinny guys up to a bit chubby, but prefer them not be overweight or much older. I tried to message or respond to guys in exactly this range (average), but you know what, it wasn't that easy for me either. Many average men do reject average women believe it or not. Please stop telling women what our experience is and insisting you know more about our own lives than…
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/22 02:14 AM

Or she doesn't give out vibes that she's up for casual. You basically said yourself that guys will take any girl for casual, which I've seen is pretty close to the truth. My guess is not that her pics aren't appealing but maybe not thirst traps giving off kind of energy.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/22 02:08 AM
2

If a guy just wants sex, and you make it clear that's not happening, then yeah. I'm also not attracted to just pics lol...need to meet at least once if not a few times before I will feel attracted to someone.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/22 02:04 AM
2

This isn't true. Guys out of our league message us lol...this happened to me on dating sites, not matching apps like Tinder. I stopped responding because I knew it was just for sex. Many even very average guys will give up after one date if we make it clear casual sex is off the table, and will take some time and a relationship first.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/22 02:03 AM
3

Yep...I don't do OLD anymore, but when I did would filter for guys with similar interests. I avoided anyone who looked like a gym rat or player.

Picture an average looking woman sitting in public and not getting hit on, at least not often if at all, or by men who might be much older or mentally off in some way. That's reality, not us plain Janes getting bombarded by Chads every day. That only happens in bars and maybe online, and only for casual sex. None of the guys I dated seriously (which are very few) ever cold approached and hit on me. They knew me through school or an activity or something. People in my country (Canada) would bat a…

Asking someone's weight, race, bra size to "prove" they're not uglier than they claim...no, not at all 🙄 Plus, what does race even have to do with one's rating?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/22 01:27 AM
5

Ew no. Even if I did post a photo, you'll probably say I'm lying or that I'm a 3 to prove your point. Besides, pretty much all female celebs are well above a 5 or 6.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/22 01:24 AM
16

This is a very rude question! I'm not ashamed of my size or any of these statistics, I like my body, but it feels kinda gross to give those answers. I don't think a subjective number on a scale can be "proven," that is where I would guess I am, but have no way to tell you for sure. I have dated a few average looking guys I've met through some activity irl. I'm mainly talking about the ones who would hit on me or message online for more than just sex.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/22 01:16 AM
1

Not necessarily. I've seen some very non-alpha looking men (average to below) with girlfriends.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/22 01:10 AM
8

This is my situation exactly. I'm a 5-6 who doesn't do hookups and guys can tell. So, I've actually been ignored a lot, even by other "5s or 6s."
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/22 01:09 AM
15

No, I'm probably a 5-6. I get hit on in specific hookup places like bars. But for more than sex, it's mostly been below average dudes (like 3-4s?) who would seriously consider me for dating. And I almost never get cold approached, I can't even remember the last time it happened.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/22 01:04 AM

How does being a mom determine this? Someone could have gotten pregnant in an LTR just as easily as a kid-free person may have slept around.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/22 12:45 AM
1

Women can easily go above our level in looks for casual. Men are easy that way. But for LTR, many women end up settling, or compromising on looks to get more important things like personality and stability.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/07/22 07:50 PM
1

Very few can pull it off Why is that? Because they don't meet men's looks standard for LTR?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/07/22 07:49 PM
1

I disagree. From what I've seen, most men will go below their own looks level for casual sex, but aim above it for LTR. Many women do the opposite.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/07/22 05:33 PM
1

Are you trolling rn? Of course not. I'm saying as a girl you have to be good looking because that's guy's #1 priority. Unless you just want casual sex, then they'll take anyone. If men "don't ask for much" because all they require is looks, that's still an impossible standard for some women to meet. Most women would be content with an average looking guy if they had other qualities like a good personality and stable income. Those are more easily acquired than something you're either born with or…
/r/PurplePillDebate07/07/22 05:21 PM
1

Not impossible if you're good looking.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/07/22 04:35 PM
1

You're saying women have such high standards and men "don't ask for much." Imo men's standards are only lower than women's for casual sex, and both have high standards for relationships. It's just that in LTR, men are still primarily focused on looks, while women have many other factors to consider. So women may ask for the guy to bring more things to the table, but many will compromise on looks to get other needs met in a relationship. Men's priority is going to be looks, so yeah, while it's as…
/r/PurplePillDebate07/07/22 12:19 AM

For most women the sex is better in relationships. Casual encounters feel empty to me personally, may be exciting at first to get with the "hot" guy, then you realize they don't give a shit about you and are mediocre at best.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/07/22 08:30 PM
1

I think I actually look worse without them though :(
/r/PurplePillDebate05/07/22 07:42 AM
2

I agree the man's income is usually higher in LTR but most are about equal looks wise or the woman is better looking. Much better looking man is less common imo, unless it's for casual sex.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/07/22 01:00 AM
13

Most women end up with men taller than them, yeah. It makes sense considering that men on average are taller than women. That's far from what it takes to be attractive though.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/07/22 12:40 AM
21

Hahaha...you just proved many women's point that men are being hypocritical about this. They whine about women supposedly not going for average men, when they themselves don't want average looking women.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/07/22 12:36 AM
3

By "better" I assume you mean better looking. That's only for casual sex, because women can. Not so easy to get better looking men for LTR.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/07/22 12:34 AM
9

In my experience, men are picky about faces more than anything else. I was very slim and had a good figure in my teens-20s, but with an average face. I was rejected/ignored by many guys who were very average themselves, or passed on in favor of a chubbier girl with a pretty face.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/07/22 12:32 AM
1

I would agree that height specifically is not important to most men. I think most prefer the woman be shorter than them or the same height, but that still allows for a lot of variety. However, men can be very particular about face and body type.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/07/22 12:30 AM
1

Shit maybe that's my problem then lol
/r/PurplePillDebate04/07/22 09:20 PM
11

My same standards pretty much exactly. Hell I don't even require the guy to be well educated or have a "well-paying job," as long as they have one. I'm more concerned with compatibility and chemistry (which I can have with average men, but come on there are limits. Much older, bad hygiene, and/or obese - which a number of my options have been, don't attract me).
/r/PurplePillDebate04/07/22 09:17 PM
1

Agree, we are not.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/07/22 09:13 PM
1

Usually, as the child care and domestic duties fall more on the woman.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/07/22 09:13 PM
4

Most women don't want just a sexual/casual relationship, and the ones who do have unlimited options for that. There are way more men looking for that than women, and will pursue women of any "level" for it, but not commit to them. Most of us want LTR, in which it makes sense to have high standards for compatibility.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/07/22 09:12 PM
1

What do glasses have to do with anything lol
/r/PurplePillDebate04/07/22 09:08 PM
21

But men think us having "standards" means we only go for 6"2 alpha Chads.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/07/22 09:07 PM
3

I know what you mean, though I feel like many men have very high standards for looks, I also don't find it flattering when they have an attitude like "you're a girl so you'll do." Not really caring about much other than that. It feels impersonal.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/07/22 09:06 PM
13

Omg that's ridiculous lol. I like men with dark hair. Yet I also date lighter haired men. I like men to be taller than me, yet I've also dated the same height or a bit shorter.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/07/22 09:04 PM

She's not an exception lol, I know so many women like this.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/07/22 09:02 PM

Good luck finding that unicorn.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/07/22 09:00 PM
1

How do we know what our "looks match" is though? I have an average face, but in my 20s I was very slim and am above average height for a woman. Most of the guys I attracted were shorter than average and overweight. I purposely did not go for very good looking guys, yet I rarely attracted anyone I would have considered even average. The one good looking guy I dated turned out to be on the autism spectrum and very likely asexual.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/07/22 08:54 PM
13

Exactly. Their "standards" are mostly to do with looks, which is something we can't change.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/07/22 08:48 PM
1

Yet men's top priorities are looks and sex, one of which we can't always change.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/07/22 08:46 PM
2

Not always. But the girls who are very good looking and into kinky sex (which seems to be what most guys want) are more likely to be sexually experienced.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/07/22 08:37 PM
1

Yet they want a girl who is hot and kinky, but one who hasn't had much sex.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/07/22 07:30 PM
2

Hearing this makes me even more glad I've never had sex with them, and never will.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/07/22 01:33 AM
4

Men of all levels scrounge around for easy sex lol (I will never use the term "dumpster dive" as it's gross and dehumanizing). I as a very average woman over 30 have been hit on guys way better looking and 5-10+ years younger than me for ONS/FWB.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/07/22 08:47 PM

If she's with him, he probably is more attractive to her regardless of conventional standards. We all have our own types, and once you know someone personality can and does make a difference.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/07/22 08:44 PM

I think they are selectively selfish. Many of them know how to turn on the charm and act super nice and chivalrous when it benefits them. Which is still just selfish actually lol.

2

I've never been into casual sex, but some of my friends were. In our 20s, these women had high sex drives and wanted sexual experiences. They weren't all about chasing the best looking men. All of these friends dated and slept with a variety of men, from good looking to average and even ugly (i hate to call anyone ugly, but way below their own looks level I'll just say). They weren't super picky as long as they connected with the guy and/or were drunk or horny enough at the time. I partied with …

To clarify, I don't agree that women are more attracted to selfish men (some are, don't get me wrong, but many are not). Just agreeing that this guy actually was. He had that "take charge" attitude and did want things the way he wanted them.!

You know what, I actually love you for this comment. I feel better and more validated now. Why do you think he was selfish though? He was actually great at having a 2 way conversation, listening and responding. Without going into detail, I did give both guys good reason to call it quits. #2 just didn't put up with my BS and moved on quickly, because he knew he had other options. And as I said, he was hardly the "strongest fittest man." He was far from a weakling, but 5"6 and struggling to lose a few extra pounds. (Which he did take off before meeting his prettier wife).

While I disagree with most of what you just said, it's too tedious to go over all the reasons why. I do agree that merely being "nice" gets you nowhere as a man OR woman. Just want to give examples of 2 guys I went out with. Neither were conventionally good looking - both were about 5"6 (my height) and stocky, and their faces might be called average to even a bit below. But there was a big difference in my level of attraction to them. Guy #1: Very, very nice guy. Not a "nice guy" like we talk ab…

Not if none of them interest you. To be fair, I think I might have a harder time than most finding a compatible partner. I did go on quite a few first dates (have not dated in 2 years now) but I'm very shy and again, don't have casual sex. So that on top of being average looking eliminates most guys off the bat. They or I usually lost interest after 1-2 dates. The most compatible person I've met so far I'm pretty sure was on the autism spectrum. We dated for 6 months, but I broke it off because …

Public gyms are intimidating. Like I think it's awesome when bigger people go to work out and get healthy, but most of us non conventionally hot people are going to face judgement. So it takes guts, ironically if you don't already look like you've been going to the gym for years.

I'm sure this will get downvotes but most young women like to look hot and get male attention. I was no different. Eventually you realize that most of the attention is just about sex and doesn't have any real value. Tbh I don't blame you for looking if they are dressed that revealing. But not sure how successful you would be if you hit on them. So if men are shitty/deadbeat dads, it's the woman's fault for picking them. Somehow women who raise their kids after a divorce or breakup are at fault for the whole thing, not the person who ditched. Do some of you guys even hear yourselves?

If you want a dude to commit, just go for one without that many options. It’s really that easy. The median woman has more options than the median man But if the options for women are guys with no options (aka less desirable ones) and the average ones don't commit, how does that really benefit us? Even very average men expect to get sex before ever committing to a relationship. I agree about men on here pressuring women to have sex. Just the other day I had a guy on here trying to tell me that because I don't have casual sex, I am manipulative, controlling and unhealthy. That not putting out within the first 2 dates is "playing games" and "jerking men around." I've lived long enough to know this is bullshit. Well yeah, I won't argue that men who are better looking or more charming will get more hookups. And there's also the fact that way more men are looking for casual sex than women. But there are certain women, like this ex-friend/roommate of mine who was very pretty but insecure. And she would sleep with guys who were way below her level in looks, like not even average just to get attention. Not really. Because you end up wasting your time on "interviews" for jobs you don't want, or don't want you because you're not willing to do them. 😆 I think some women like the attention they get online or in bars, but I don't take it as a compliment if I know the guys are just DTF. It's more of an insult, like, what makes you think I'm that easy?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/06/22 04:36 PM
2

Right? Like to use my (now ex)friend as an example, she was a cute girl, definitely better looking than me, but was insecure. So she would actually hook up with the average/ugly wannabe Chads just to get attention. Men think only the opposite happens (average/ugly women all f-- good looking guys), but nope. Sure a lot of us could, but most of us don't even want to, at least outside a relationship. And unlike my friend, I don't find that kind of attention flattering.

I'm an average looking white girl and same. I quit the bars and apps because it was just too much ick after a while. Average guys wanted sex, the ones willing to put more time and effort in were mostly ones with few to no other options (below average and/or had some kind of disorder, as harsh as that is to say). I am willing to say these things, even if it makes me sound like a bitch, because I get so tired of men thinking we are all just going for Chads who want to pump and dump, and ignoring t…

Come to think of it, the times I have aimed above my level were mostly with Asian guys (I'm white). They were short, sometimes shorter than me, but definitely cute (unlike the white dude I mentioned). It could also be where I live, because I've been told that men here in Canada are more picky, and American men are a bit more reasonable with their standards. 2 of my friends who went to US were able to get with much better looking men there than they could here.

No...I can assure you we were not. Maybe some were a bit better looking than us (though still not Chads by any means), but others were for sure less attractive. Like to give you an example, I was slim/curvy at the time and one of the guys was older, my height or maybe shorter, bald and overweight. My friend who many people agree is very pretty (a bit chubby but a prettier face than me) has gotten it from guys who were substantially fatter than her, older, short and bald as well. I mean, we've fo…

/r/PurplePillDebate29/06/22 02:22 AM

It's not that the options all suck as people, it's that most of them only want casual sex, which makes them non-options for me and many other women who don't want that.

Initially women will appear to get more success because men want to sleep with them. And men are not picky about who they will sleep with. But if we say no to casually hooking up with them (outside a relationship) most of that interest disappears. So it's not actually success, unless we want casual.

We've literally gone on dates and spent time already. No one is demanding sex right out of the gate. You said within the first two dates? That's hardly much time to spend. Sex is a big deal to some people, it's not like shaking hands. I would never consider a woman for an LTR that played these games. You know that she would continue with the games after the relationship and make life a living hell. I don't think I can even continue a conversation with someone who is making so many assumptions an…

A woman who thinks having sex is her "being used" is one I'd avoid You're putting words in my mouth. I said I don't have sex outside relationships. If you have sex with someone within the first 2 dates, that's basically a stranger. There's a high chance of being used and ditched afterwards. It's one thing if the woman is ok with that as a possible outcome, but for me it's too soon. If she was attracted to me but wanted to hold off for no reason, I would avoid. Hm...what happened to all the baby daddies of those kids? Why did they f--k off and leave the woman with sole responsibility for their children? You think the government pays an actual living wage? It's barely enough to survive on, but go ahead and judge things you clearly know nothing about.

Well I am an average woman, and it's not that easy. If you're not willing to have casual sex outside a relationship (which I'm not) most men won't stick around past one or 2 dates. I suppose women who are willing to just sleep with every guy they date have a higher chance of getting into a relationship. In the meantime though, they have to risk that many men will lose interest, ghost after sex, or keep them on back burner. I know men can't fathom how this isn't still a win for us (how could havi…

"He just doesn't want commitment" or "he is afraid of commitment" is a meme because of how common it is for women to say. Why do women say this? Because it's that common for men to string women along to get sex and never commit. Why are they not committing, is it not because they are hoping to get someone hotter? I'm open to being wrong about that. But if it's only the "minority of men" having sex without commitment, why is it happening so much? I suppose because we are all taking turns sleeping…

Spoken out of true ignorance. Most if not all women have options for casual sex. I as a very average woman could get much better looking guys for casual if I wanted it (which I don't). So that doesn't mean much. You think all single moms became pregnant outside of relationships? Some of those children's fathers are ex-boyfriends or ex-husbands. It disgusts me how men make assumptions about single moms. For starters, at least they're actually taking care of the kids, which should be both parent's…

I agree, except that when men say we have it on "easy mode," what they really mean is that it's easier for us to get sex. Which it is, but that is in no way a "win" for most women when we don't even want casual sex and are looking for relationships. In fact, I'd argue that men's preoccupation with getting easy, instant sex makes it even harder for us to secure committed relationships. Because most men won't even consider us at all unless we are willing to put out within the first few dates. If n…

Yep...I see a lot of comments on reddit saying to ignore women's advice, because our advice is "selfish." You know, because we won't tell guys how to use us for sex, and actually want them to treat us decently. Sad...the lack of self awareness truly baffles me.

I agree it is corrupt. But I think this whole thing kind of is. I mean to be fair you sound young, I'm for sure a lot older than you so it's partly a generation gap thing. Ugh. This is literally the problem with guys these days. All you care about is sex and it shows. Most girls aren't looking to be just a f--k buddy, yet guys think we all do and are just hooking up with men other than yourselves. You want a girl to get "all hot and dolled up" just so you can not care about her as a person and use her for sex. The sad part is you're not even aware of how obnoxious that sounds, because it's become the norm to be this way, but most girls still don't like it.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/22 04:50 AM
4

This is part of the problem. I'm an introvert, and not great at it either. But the guys who could talk back and forth with me and ask some questions, instead of just talking about themselves in monologues stood out. If she's hot and pretty, do you not care about anything else? That's kinda how it comes across. No point in getting to know her if she's hot enough?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/22 04:33 AM

I've been surprised at how few guys are good at listening, asking questions and having a 2 way back and forth conversation. It honestly does impress me at this point. Also, being funny.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/22 04:27 AM
1

I'm not disagreeing with that, but my point is not all of us want it. So, that doesn't make it a "win" for us. Many women do indulge in it, yes, but I don't believe it benefits them. Most women are starting out that way hoping it will lead to a relationship. It seems impossible for guys to understand that getting easy, meaningless sex is not a privilege for us the way it would be for them. Hence why men looking for it greatly outnumber the women, and why we have endless options for it.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/06/22 03:54 AM
1

It is sad. But I've always made guys wait lol. I have fooled around a bit outside relationships but not full sex. I've always been wary of being used that way. Sex should not be a "confirmation of value." People treat it more as a currency or something they're owed rather than a way to bond with someone you like and care about. Imo, women in the long run do not benefit from casual sex.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/06/22 08:45 PM
1

This is deviating far from your original point though. You're saying men have such bad options at older ages, because the women have "baggage" etc, and I said women at this age face the same issue with men. Your argument was that women have it so much better/easier because we can get "great" sex. Which many of us are not even looking for (casual sex outside a relationship). Not sure how this relates to any of that.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/06/22 08:29 PM

So you've slept with more than 100 women, yet you judge women who have slept around? You want a woman who is "sexually open" and sexually compatible with you, yet one who hasn't "had her fill" of casual sex like you have. Yes, you are being obnoxious and a hypocrite. I totally agree. Not necessarily about the sex part, but I thought the guy should have more self respect. Yeah, I think in theory she should have cut things off with the first guy once she got more interested in the other one. It's not "technically" cheating, but would feel like it. I know a girl who kept hooking up with her ex after she started dating a new guy (and was initmate with both). The new guy found out and was really upset, she said she didn't know they were "official" yet. Even though she was my friend, I was on his side and told her what she did was basically cheating.

Not in my experience. I would prefer not to rush things with a guy I'm really into, for fear that I might just become a booty call or backup option. I'm not going to set myself up for heartbreak. In the past, I've been more likely to get physical with men I didn't like that much or who weren't serious about me, knowing neither person would get hurt. Of course most women want relationships. That's one of the biggest misconceptions I keep seeing on reddit, that just because good looking men would rather go out and play the field, women will want to as well. Yes, it's much easier for women to get casual sex, but there's nothing "great" about it if that's not what you want. Women usually have better sex in relationships, and many don't even enjoy casual sex. (I know men find this hard to believe). The issues you described are pretty on-point wh…

So you're disagreeing that men are looking for casual sex? Most men. I never said all men. Because this is mostly what myself and women I know are coming across. It's not something I made up. Because men don't seem to get that most women aren't looking for the same thing they are. If what guys wanted was relationships, the advice on improving personality/character would apply. Men are always thinking the issue is their looks, because that's what they fixate on in women. I admit we do care about looks, but it's not the only thing that creates attraction, or the most important, even initially. I repeat this a lot because I think it's something men don't understand or maybe just refuse …
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/22 12:21 AM

That's ridiculous. Men's advice is usually along the lines of losing weight, improving our looks, being more forward or sexually open. That all applies more to casual sex, which is what men want. Women give advice on looks, yes (mainly hygiene and grooming), and also on the character traits we look for (respect, good social skills, humor etc) in a relationship. Usually both sides have different end goals, but I don't see why the women's side is more selfish. What advice do you think we should be…

Exactly. When men ask women for dating advice, we give them dating advice. What they are really asking for (majority of the time) is how to get casual sex. If they listened to us and were more patient, they would probably have better luck getting a LTR, but we're not going to give them PUA tactics.

5"2 200 lbs is not 50% of women. And I guarantee those women can also get laid. So can older women; my grandma found a bf in senior home. Mind you the guy couldn't "perform" anymore, but it was not for lack of trying.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/06/22 08:18 PM

Why is that a "danger"? Even if we don't find men get better looking with age, doesn't mean we can't still be attracted. I just don't think the majority of young women prefer an older man, contrary to what seems popular belief online. You should still be able to date women your own age at any age.

Well, I won't argue that more older men are with younger women than the reverse. As I said above, younger men still do pursue us for sex, but younger man/older woman relationships, while it's becoming more common, have never been the norm. Because men keep spreading these lies all over the internet. It's not true that men become more desirable with age. Just as you might find a young woman with daddy issues, older women can find cougar "cubs" or whatever they're called. But most women want an equal partner, not just sex.

Yeah, idk of any younger women who find 40 year old men more attractive than guys their own age. Even I at 40 find late 20s-early 30s guys more physically attractive. It's just that women in their 30s-40s are looking to settle down and prefer a compatible partner, so they look for someone close in age. That's why you will suddenly feel like you have a lot of options, not because you've become more attractive.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/06/22 04:38 PM
5

Just FYI men don't become more attractive to women in their 40s lol. Most of us find men who are say late 20s to early 30s more physically attractive. The reason you have options is that women in their 30s-40s are looking to settle down, and prefer a man our own age as a companion. It doesn't mean you've become more attractive.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/06/22 04:34 PM

Maybe it's a generation gap thing. I'm 40, and back when I first started dating it was pretty much the norm for the guy to pay, at least on the first couple of dates. I've even had guy friends offer to pay for me if it's something small. You don't have to do it, especially if you're not comfortable with it. It's no longer a requirement, but imo it makes a good impression.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/06/22 09:10 PM

I agree, but just FYI to guys, paying for a drink or coffee is not overinvesting. A lot of guys seem to think it is, while girls will assume it's just being courteous.

She probably does realize it. But women are sometimes able to be attracted to a guy if he grows on us over time, even if we aren't initially. I think some are sincerely trying to figure out if that's going to happen. It can take a while for us to figure out who we're really attracted to, because it isn't ALL based on looks. I've had it go both ways, where said guy became very attractive to me and chemistry developed over time, and other times it didn't. So it's a gamble if you're going to play t…

Paying for someone's drink, or just paying your own half and not explaining why (unless they do ask) is not leading them on or lying. Why do you keep insisting it is?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/22 04:58 AM
1

It's better to do that with anyone. Idk how women have treated you in the past, but it doesn't mean you need to treat them in such a manner yourself.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/22 02:01 AM
1

I should lie to them? Still pay for my half only? Text them later regarding my lack of interest? That's not lying. And yes, you should text them about it later.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/22 12:55 AM

I do actually. It's happened to other girls I know but not me personally. I've had very few partners and none of them cheated regardless of their looks.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/06/22 11:53 PM
2

I'm not pretty sure, I'm very sure. No unattractive guys cheat? Come on, even you know that's not true. I'm not saying it's all of them or even the majority but ofc if happens. No, I'm not going to be into a guy just because they have money, but look at the old/unattractive male celebs, or old men who go to Thailand etc and come back with pretty wives half their age. You're telling me these girls go for their personalities?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/06/22 11:36 PM

I'm pretty sure there are unattractive men out there who have affairs. Especially if they are good con-artists or have money.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/06/22 11:23 PM

There is no survey that will convince me this is a common thing. People on reddit quote so-called "surveys" a lot (in which results are likely to be manipulated, skewed or biased) because they have no real-life experience of whatever point they are trying to prove.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/06/22 08:43 PM
1

There's no need to lie. You either pay for the date (which TBH is not a big deal nor leading someone on, especially if it's just a coffee), or pay your half, and then discuss the matter later. We ALL know that first dates aren't guaranteed a second. Whether or not someone pays doesn't change this. What's rude is telling that woman to her face basically since she's not getting any more of your time, you're not going to pay. And then laughing when she gets upset? You sound arrogant and like a powe…

Lol...men: women having sex are damaged/bitter Also men: why won't women have sex with me?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/06/22 08:31 PM

I'm not so sure. I'm not an extremely attractive person (very average) myself so there is no bias here. But from what I see on reddit, there are many so-called unattractive or average men who seem very bitter and spiteful towards women.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/06/22 08:28 PM
2

Relationships. And then sex. In that order
/r/PurplePillDebate10/06/22 05:03 PM

Since that literally doesn't exist, you'll never need the term again outside of reddit.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/06/22 06:29 AM
5

Did you ever consider that maybe these women were upset you weren't interested? I mean, you basically told them before the end of the date that since you don't see it going anywhere, you wouldn't offer to pay. That's a slap in the face. It's not about the money, it's being rejected on the spot, and implying that they're not "worth it."
/r/PurplePillDebate10/06/22 06:28 AM
2

Yep...and then look for a young virgin bride. That is if they don't already have wives they are cheating on.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/06/22 06:12 AM

I'm married, but I'll literally just be like "no" ... because fuck you. 😂 I've had guys pay for a meal (not an expensive one) or even just one drink and then get butthurt or ghost after I wouldn't hook up with them. 2 of those guys I even made out with, which is more than I should have done.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/06/22 05:50 AM

I think being on reddit already does that. 😂

I honestly got a bit confused while reading the question.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/06/22 05:39 AM

Lol...I was thinking the same thing actually. That some men on here seem to have no idea how women think and get ideas from porn. Such as assuming we are all just as horny as them and should be super stoked about getting access to easy sex, and are just being difficult. Like a millionaire who complains about not being a billionaire or something. Why do they assume this, because the women in porn are all excited to suck d--k and horny all the time? Do they know any actual women?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/06/22 04:46 AM
3

Well I do agree it's because I'm white. But I also think they prioritize different things, even when it comes to white girls than guys do here. For example, guys here will take an overweight girl with a pretty face over a skinny girl with slightly below average face, but in China I think it's the opposite. And I was thin at the time. A big butt is considered sexy here, and there it wasn't much of a focus. A lot can give fuck all about looks so long as you look like their societal standards. Well…
/r/PurplePillDebate10/06/22 04:17 AM

They may not enjoy the fact they are getting used. Exactly. Or the sex itself in some cases. That is definitely still a thing without relationships. How is this supposed to happen in casual hookups as I mentioned above (ppl ghosting the next day, etc) where you barely know the person? FWB this would maybe apply to. You're really telling me that a woman would all the benefits of a relationship with no intimacy for entire partnership. That's not what I said at all. I meant the version of intimacy …

But the guy says dating is easier for us when the reality is that getting casual sex is easier. Big deal, when you don't even want it.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/06/22 02:48 AM

It’s enjoyable for both parties. Idk why men assume it always is for us, just because it is for them.

This is not FDS
/r/PurplePillDebate10/06/22 02:42 AM

So do I, but I also don't like people assuming that's what all women want and that our lives are "easy" because we can get it.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/06/22 02:41 AM

They do and it's kinda sad. No one's value increases or decreases with age, unless you're the stock market.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/06/22 02:39 AM

You do you. But men who assume women should think like them/want what they want are just projecting.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/06/22 02:37 AM

I said CASUAL sex. Don't put words in my mouth. I do desire sex, but without commitment it has no appeal to me.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/06/22 02:36 AM

So, some people enjoy it, not everyone does. I would argue that the majority of women do not. And there's such a thing as faking it. Why is it laughable? Because for most women, good sex happens after we make that connection with someone, feel comfortable with them and have somewhat of a bond. Sex also tends to get better in relationships as people get to know eachother's preferences, etc. I don't do casual sex, but from what I've heard, it's usually driven by alcohol and/or the guy just getting…

It makes no difference, because I don't have or want casual sex and never did.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/06/22 02:22 AM

/r/PurplePillDebate10/06/22 02:17 AM
30

Right...omg...women not putting out = men not paying for dinner. This just shows how men think of them as being equal in value. I literally know of no one who goes on dates to get a free meal, yet reddit men think we are all doing this. I mean, if a woman is THAT desperate to get free food that she would spend time with someone she has no interest in, perhaps she should go to a homeless shelter instead.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/06/22 02:15 AM

the girl and the guy getting mutual sex out of the scenario Only if the woman WANTS casual sex. And it's laughable to assume hookup sex is good for the woman, even most of the time. And what makes you think the guy would provide any emotional support? Women use their male friends for attention, I've seen that a lot. I guess in that case, both parties are getting friendship out of it?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/06/22 02:14 AM

They are always harping about this, and it works both ways, some of the time. Generalizing it's the case for all couples makes no sense. If a guy legitimately thinks the man in every couple is more attractive, they might have some bigger questions to think about.

I had a similar experience in high school. This one guy liked me and knew I liked him, but he started avoiding me because his friends made fun of him so much over it. Hookups are easy for me to get as well, but I don't do them.

"One of those women who hate all men" = shooting out of her league? Both are obnoxious to assume, but are not the same. She stated low sex drive which is a perfectly valid reason, but you insist on gaslighting her.

I'm probably around that level as well, gave up on the apps because they made me depressed. I have been told I'm below average by some, but consider myself average (and was considered very attractive in China for some reason). Men think women have it easy because we can get sex. That is not what most of us are looking for.

Makeup is meant to enhance natural features, so yes, most people do look better with it. However, I think being asexual you would have a different lens. Average men with an average sex drive should be able to find regular women attractive. Even if they may not find every woman attractive, or may prefer a makeup look, they should be able to get attracted to natural women in their league. If not, I'd say they're watching too much porn. That's creepy tbh
/r/PurplePillDebate06/06/22 03:58 AM

This is interesting because most guys prefer a woman shorter than them. Not sure I've known any guy who actively looked for someone taller. I'm your height, will date guys my own height (it's not a dealbreaker) but I don't go for short ones specifically. I prioritize many other things in a partner over height.

They worry because they assume all women are taking turns f***ing the top 10% of men, while 90% of the male population remains celibate. I'm not sure these guys ever actually go outside.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/06/22 03:06 AM

I think men and women are sexually attracted to each other the same way. The only difference is that while men find most women attractive, women only find the top percentage of men truly attractive. Totally not true. Read over this thread and all the comments again, please.

I've had guys kiss me in bars and felt absolutely nothing, no desire to go further or even see them again. I only kissed them because I was drunk and it seemed like the thing to do. But maybe I'm weird. I don't like bars or OLD as avenues to meet people. Would rather a guy get to know me a bit first (at least a couple dates) before making a move.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/05/22 09:53 PM
1

I'm exactly the same.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/05/22 09:48 PM
3

For me it's very low. But I don't even feel raw attraction to most good-looking men (at least not initally). It's more of a type thing, like, sometimes they will resemble another guy I know and have a crush on, or they will play in a band and I like the music, etc. There needs to be an association with something beyond just good looks. I also agree with a commenter that chemistry involves the other senses, like smell (pheremones), not just visual.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/05/22 09:45 PM

So basically you're a typical man who only cares about casual sex and the opinions of hot women. As an average woman who doesn't have casual sex I can't help you. I don't expect you to understand that some people are capable of falling in love and feeling attraction (yes, even sexual) based on things other than looks. It's easy for most women to get casual sex with men in and out of our leagues (we don't have to be "hot"), because the men wanting it outnumber the women. Plus, there's no relation…
/r/PurplePillDebate30/05/22 07:24 PM

Looks help for both men and women, obviously. But it's not the only thing that matters. If you're talking only about casual sex, then yes for women it's going to be high up on the list. For relationships, there has to be attraction, but it's not always the best looking ones we want. Look around you at people who are actually IN relationships. Are they all Chads? No. That should give you a better idea than reading up on stats and traits and whatnot on the internet.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/05/22 07:01 PM

Some will, some won't. I think the number that does is greatly exaggerated on reddit. To give an example, out of 10 of my female friends, 3 have casual sex, the other 7 (or 8 including myself) do not.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/05/22 06:15 PM
1

More projection. It's not simple, and we are different, but you assume it must be the same as for men or else we are lying.

2

Exactly. Yet men seem to assume it does.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/05/22 06:13 PM

This thread should be required reading for men on reddit. So much confusion about how attraction works for women, and why we don't want to jump on every attractive man right away (or they just assume we do, hence the Chad thing).

I think you're missing my point. I said there are more attractive men available for sex (hookups, FWB, etc) but these same men often don't want a relationship. Or if they do, it will be with certain women, but not always the ones they hook up with. That's why I don't take it seriously if a good looking guy propositions me, because I'm not interested in casual sex. If I were, I guess I'd pick the better looking ones. The majority of men I've been able to attract for anything serious haven't been …

The point is that if you have things in common and like their personality, their looks might grow on you over time. Men and women aren't the same when it comes to attraction. I don't think women will go for a guy they find really ugly, but with someone in the neutral zone attraction could develop (I've had it happen). I think because attraction isn't always so instant for women, the ones who have casual sex are going to choose better looking guys. Men can complain about it all they want, but we …

There are no options where? Online? Personally I've given up on that. Women do have many options online, but few decent ones. I totally agree. And my goal was always to wait until marriage, but at this point (I just turned 40) I would settle for a serious relationship with potential for marriage at least (even at this age, I want to get married). The guys I dated semi-seriously were in my 20s. The ones in my 30s were more casual and mostly focused on sex, so I took a long break from dating after that. I agree about waiting for marriage or at least an exclusive relationship. I fooled around with some guys in my 30s since I got tired of waiting by then. But technically am still a virgin and will be forever unless something gets serious. I did date one guy who was masculine looking (had softer facial features but was tall and strong) and I'm pretty sure he was actually on the autism spectrum. So that's interesting. For me neither of these are remotely true. So I get annoyed when I see things like this posted on reddit and other sites constantly. In my 20s I dated beta nerds. Who's pestering them? If the women show interest, childless men are free to turn them down. In most cases women are the ones being pestered for commitment free sex.

When I was younger, I got pursued by some smart, nerdy guys (think Big Bang Theory types). I look nerdy on the outside, but when it came down to it we had nothing in common. I'm artistic and into music. These guys were into gaming, sci-fi, fantasy etc. In my 30s I met someone who shared my passion (music). This guy was short (around my height, which is 5"6), and not good looking (some of my friends even said ugly). But he was funny and a kick ass guitar player. I quickly became obsessed with him…

I think most of those complaints are from guys wanting easy sex and thinking these "ugly girls" should be putting out for them. When the reality is girls can get casual sex at the drop of a hat and most of us don't even want it. I doubt these guys are seriously putting effort in to be in relationships with these girls, just wanting to get something from them.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/05/22 05:31 AM

I agree with the considerations you mentioned for a relationship, and that they are more important than looks. Many men in this sub (and in general) seem to put looks above everything else, even to the extent that they ignore compatibility. It's frustrating.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/05/22 08:39 PM
1

"I know girls that are extremely toxic but have guys lining up to give them gifts, shower them with compliments, do favors for them, ask them out ect..." Exactly. And yet guys say they go for average and we are all chasing Chads. Ime it's more the other way around, at least when it comes to relationships. I know of women who will date less attractive men if they are good BF material.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/05/22 06:24 AM
1

I agree for men they are the most important thing. For women, looks are part of the initial attraction, but it takes more than that to keep us interested. Attraction is mandatory for both sides, but for me at least (and I believe most women) looks are only part of what attracts us.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/05/22 06:19 AM

I agree that sex is usually men's primary motivating factor to be in a relationship. However, a lot of men these days only want casual sex without a relationship, and not as many women are into that. The ones who are have a lot of men to pick from, including better looking ones. I don't think women are getting Chads left and right for relationships, for this our options are usually average at best. So men's claim that women are delusional about our looks is false. We can only aim out of our leag…

There's nothing wrong with improving your appearance, but encouraging women to get surgery to attract a man would be shallow. I don't think the softmaxxing is so bad, but you are still assuming one's looks are the most important, if not only factor when it comes to attracting a quality person. Your hyperfocus on looks above all else is shallow.

So if it's never, they are willing to take that chance vs be with a guy they don't want. I'm not saying FDS is all great, it's not, but that's a whole other argument. If you are advocating for vindicta, you are shallow AF and probably pornsick. Most of that sub is about women changing themselves with plastic surgery. The entitlement of men who expect women to put out is even more disgusting, not to mention their unrealistic expectations about that. So you're holding a double standard.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/05/22 04:13 AM
1

I reject the better looking ones because >90% of the time they just want NSA sex. They aren't picky about that, but are more shallow than us when it comes to who they consider for relationships.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/05/22 04:01 AM
1

Many women on FDS are willing to stay single unless/until they find someone up to their standards. And in the meantime, they aren't going around looking for men to hook up with. They could if they wanted to, because the fact is that men are just more thirsty for casual sex. But we want the whole package which includes a relationship. If that's the case, why are you on here complaining about women below your standards wanting to date you? Especially if you've been trying to sleep with those women…

"There's just a difference in standards for casual attractive vs long term dating attractive." 🙄 For most women there is no difference; in fact, our looks standards for casual are probably higher, because it's way easier to get, and in a relationship personality matters more. "I'm very self-aware of how cocky I've become but I view it as a blessing, it's allowed me to let go of my fears and inhibitions, face my insecurities and go after what I really want in life." Because you're saying these women aren't good enough for more than casual sex, and that should be obvious to them. Just as you can look for sex, they are free to look for a relationship. You're acting like they are delusional for wanting that, even though you both swiped right on eachother.

Well, how dare women want relationships with men who match with and message them. Obviously they should be willing to let these guys use them. Most women don't want just casual sex though. The men looking for hookups outnumber the women, so women are able to get better looking men for this. The thing is though, the men you speak of are just using these women for sex, whether or not they find them attractive. So in my opinion that shouldn't even be validating. When I know a guy just wants to hook up with me and nothing else, I don't take it as a compliment. Men have lower standards because they want more casual sex than women do, so they have less willing partners to choose from. It has nothing to do with women overestimating our looks. /r/PurplePillDebate04/05/22 10:18 PM

What does she "need" to hear, that she is ugly? I would suggest she get offline and stop looking to others for validation, meet some people irl and form connections that way. I used to be like her, but for most of us average people (which to me is what she sounds like) OLD is a big waste of time. Men on there only want insta-models as gfs, or a cheap lay with regular women (no thanks). I've only ever gotten BFs through real life connections.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/05/22 10:08 PM

Generally this. And fat women who believe they are attractive are somehow offensive, because apparently average women should think less of ourselves and be having sex with whoever approaches us.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/05/22 10:02 PM

Women can get better looking men for just sex. But women aren't looking for that near as much as men are, hence why we have so many to choose from. For relationships, it's usually pretty equal, or the woman is more attractive.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/05/22 09:56 PM

Exactly! It's amazing how many arguments on this sub are lacking in common sense.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/05/22 09:45 PM
17

We know that men will give insincere compliments just to get sex, and that is not flattering. I'm an average looking woman, I'm not delusional about my looks, but I want a relationship (not just sex), and need there to be mutual attraction. For me that takes time getting to know someone before chemistry develops.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/05/22 09:44 PM

There's nothing similar about wanting a relationship vs wanting just NSA sex. Completely different ballgame.

/r/PurplePillDebate04/05/22 07:59 PM

You are curious about why women would rather be treated as people, and know someone before having sex? The lack of awareness in this sub truly baffles me.

If I have to explain that to you, you are part of the problem.

"He can get 5 lays if he approach 100 women." That part. He is approaching women as potential "lays," not people he is getting to know. Majority of women do not approach men this way. They want relationships or at the very least FWB. Women looking for just casual hookups are rare, that's why men have it harder if they take this approach. I 100% do blame men, because they are the ones who choose to only pursue hookups and not relationships. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes (or no prizes, lol)

This is spot on. Even objectively unattractive musicians like Mick Jagger were adored by women for decades. It's the persona, talent, character they play, etc. Channing Tatum and Pattison are conventionally good looking, lol. There have been much uglier ones.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/05/22 06:23 AM

I guarantee there are men that do and you're just not aware of it. A lot of men are fine with small boobs, for example my ex said he never cared about it. He was more of an ass man, other men are more into pretty faces etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/05/22 11:37 PM

I've definitely done that, I even chased a guy off once (not one of her friends but a random) because she was so drunk it was not ok for him to hook up with her. Most times though she wouldn't listen bc she was a huge pickme.

Ok but most women aren't looking for casual sex, and the ones that do have endless options. If you had hundreds of women wanting to hook up with you and few other men to compete with, you would definitely pick the ones you're most attracted to. Idk why men hate women so much for doing exactly what they would do if the tables were turned.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/05/22 08:19 PM

So basically you're saying women only sleep with men they are attracted to? That it varies between us and we aren't all going for the same type. You kinda just proved my point that the Chad thing is a myth.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/05/22 08:13 PM

Rightfully so because this guy only wants casual hookups without putting effort into a relationship, so of course he will have a harder time finding women for that. There is nothing empowering about sleeping around. Casual sex benefits men, it is much more of a detriment to women in the long run.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/05/22 08:11 PM

Ok. Well, I can sympathize with this as it's happened to me before too. Many guys in mixed groups will also ignore the average girls and go for the best looking ones (at least for more than ONS). However, since I don't do hookups, for me the best bet is to keep trying this approach. Bars and OLD are even worse.

I've seen more of these where the man is an immigrant and wants status in the woman's country (and not just on TV, I've seen these irl too). You are likely right that it's becoming more common for women to date younger men. Nothing wrong with that, as long as it's not a huge age gap imo.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/05/22 06:56 PM

Women can get casual sex partners above our looks level easily. LTR, not so much. This is where men seem to get confused. It happens on occasion but is definitely not the norm. I've actually seen more long term couples in which the woman was better looking.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/05/22 06:36 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate02/05/22 06:03 PM

Well, yeah. If all you want is casual, it stands to reason that you'll be competing with a lot of men for a smaller number of women who want the same thing. So in these situations, the better looking or more charming men are going to have more success.

Seeing the abundance of porn on reddit, how adamantly the guys here defend it, and the prevalence of communities like nofap, you can see how women might get that idea.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/05/22 06:21 AM
5

Also...getting hit on does not have as much to do with looks as this guy claims. It's more to do with where you go, the type of people you are running into, and the signals you give off. An approachable looking person will be approached more than a closed-off one.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/05/22 06:16 AM
4

Don't listen to men on reddit about your attractiveness. I've had guys here call me a 3 out of 10 (when I had pics up), yet my irl experiences would prove differently. No, I don't get "hit on" left and right, but I've gotten enough feedback to know there are a number of men that find me attractive. A lot of men here want to bring us down so we will lower our standards.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/05/22 06:14 AM

I think then, before getting married a man with this mindset should spell it out: I am proposing, but this marriage is a bargain. So if I'm going to provide for you financially, you owe me sex. That way you can dodge the bullet when the woman says no.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/05/22 04:03 AM

Why should women sleep with a man they don't know? He admits he only wants to use these women for sex and is butthurt that they won't agree to it. Men always jump to "women use men for money" as a defense. Um...so what's your point? One doesn't cancel the other out. Don't spend money on them if you don't want to. And don't whine about men's "depression" because they can't get NSA sex, and have to keep trying for it with multiple women. What is the "dynamic" supposed to be? Women put out for sex …

"Higher than they should've?" So the women should have had less partners, but not the men who slept with them? I find it hysterical that men call themselves "superior" to the women they sleep with - you're equally part of the equation, so that makes you no better.

"A lot of f***boys will complain bitterly about sleeping with fat women." Easy solution - if it's so bad, don't do it? Yeah, that's what I thought.

Funny how men want women to put out for easy sex, then you shame the ones that do. Even when you're the ones sleeping with them. 🙄 I hope those "fat" women will catch on to this and stop sleeping with you at all, then you will have no options left.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/05/22 01:03 AM

You mean that I'm lying? I guess any time a woman disagrees with you we are lying. No point in arguing with us in the first place, then.

If I was that woman and found out you think I'm ugly, I wouldn't have you.

Omg you're 30 years old talking like you're 80. You still have lots of time. I think trying to enjoy other things in life and NOT hyperfocus on women will ironically make you more attractive to them. Women are attracted to men who are engaged in life and comfortable with themselves.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/05/22 12:08 AM
2

I used to be really eager for a relationship. But, I admit I am not attracted to the majority of men. Even if I find their looks attractive, it still takes some getting to know them before feelings of attraction develop. Also, many of us women have been jerked around by guys who seemed to have interest but just wanted sex. So, over time women might become jaded and wary of men's intentions. That's why proving yourself to be a genuinely good guy is important, we're not going to blindly trust you …

See which comment? Did you not say women get a few chads and then delete their accounts? I'm saying they aren't all going for Chads, but if they wanted only casual sex and no relationship, they COULD go for the best looking guys if they wanted to. Yes, true. Look at the ratio of men vs women on Tinder. It's brought up all the time on this sub. Go to any bar. There are more men looking for casual sex than women. And because of this discrepancy, women who are looking for it can be way pickier, bec…

Is that not exactly what he's saying? That guys are getting mad and depressed because they have to approach so many women for sex just to be rejected. Yet he doesn't want to get to know these women first and be in an actual relationship. Not sure what I'm missing here.

I read through most of this thread and haven't come to a different conclusion.

Where in my comment did I disagree with this? I think women are more likely than men to have truly platonic friendships, but I agree many would also have a secret crush on the guy or want them as orbiters.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/05/22 11:36 PM

Maybe it's just the type of women I hang out with vs the ones you're going for. My friends and I are not models, we are average looking and intelligent. None of us want a relationship based only on looks. I've seen the guys my friends match with online; I've seen the ones they've dated. Nothing that knocked my socks off, average guys who were not out of their leagues. But, there are way more men wanting casual sex than women. So, if ALL we want is to get laid (NSA), we can totally aim way out of…
/r/PurplePillDebate01/05/22 11:32 PM

Yep and many of us can spot this a mile away. I've been hit on by guys out of my league in looks, but if I can tell they are just interested in a cheap lay and not me as a person I will reject.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/05/22 11:19 PM
4

You're deluding yourself. The real reason you suck with women is your personality (or lack of). The "model looks" thing is a copout to avoid working on yourself. I really hope the girl you're seeing raises her standards, because she's settling for you, not the other way around. We all deserve basic respect and human decency and your comments show you don't even give her that.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/05/22 11:16 PM

I don't think you'll have much luck getting instant sex with cold approaches, unless you're approaching prostitutes.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/05/22 11:08 PM
7

Oh, poor men. Women aren't lining up to f*** you just to be discarded afterwards. You might actually have to date and get to know a woman before sleeping with them, life is hard.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/05/22 11:03 PM
2

Ime, most men are only "friends" with women they want to sleep with, so are more like orbiters. And I've known some women who like having a supply of male orbiters around to give them attention and do favors for them. I have a hard time being friends with women like this, and an equally hard time being friends with men, so I don't bother. My only male friends are in mixed m/f groups, couples (in which my primary connection is the wife), or gay/ace.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/05/22 10:58 PM
3

Not sure what you mean.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/05/22 10:50 PM

Same goes for women (like me) who don't put out unless it's serious. Majority of guys will ghost after one date once they know this.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/05/22 10:14 PM
11

This is one of the biggest myths on reddit. I know zero women who do this (and I'm a woman with female friends). We are looking for relationships. Some of my friends went through a wild phase, but they didn't limit themselves to "Chads." Most of the guys were average, even some unattractive in my opinion. I never was into casual sex and know others who have never been either.

This 💯
/r/PurplePillDebate01/05/22 10:05 PM

Maybe the fact that these guys are approaching women as potential "lays" instead of people is part of the problem. OLD is a numbers game for most people, even the average woman. I find it much more effective to get out and mingle irl, start out as friends/acquaintances and see if chemistry develops.

The majority of times I've been "hit on" is by drunk guys in bars, so it hardly even counts. Since I rarely go to bars anymore, it happens far less often. It's also happened a few times at meetups and other social events. Very rare for a man to cold approach in the light of day. In fact, I can't even recall the last time that happened. I've been told I come across as timid (I prefer shy), so I think men see me as approachable, but I'm not nearly as easy to manipulate as they hope.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/05/22 09:46 PM

I can assure you these girls didn't want a "chance" with 30+ aged men. They could get boyfriends their own age.

Not easy at all unless you have a lot of money, and can afford to take time off work to recover from the surgeries.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/05/22 05:26 AM
2

Basically yes. But not sure how to change that. I don't need the life of the party, but I do like the man to be stronger than me and show their feelings somewhat. These men were rather boring and/or unemotional. I couldn't even joke around with some of them, it just kinda fell flat.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/05/22 04:52 AM
2

That's very diplomatic. 😆
/r/PurplePillDebate01/05/22 02:05 AM

I mean you seem more focused on the physical descriptors and he is more about the attitude, strength and dominance these women possess. Not that there isn't some overlap in hobbies and whatnot, but from where I stand the main focus is different.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/05/22 01:19 AM
1

There are some similar traits he mentioned, but I feel like you're talking about something more surface level (a "type") while he is more about the relationship dynamic, and how he relates to such women.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/05/22 01:08 AM
2

Not sure I agree with this, but what would you say about me (a woman) who is shy and passive, being attracted to more outgoing, energetic men? In reality I don't seem to attract these types, but instead attract men even more passive and introverted than myself. When I'm the the assertive one, let's just say it's a problem, lol. I lack attraction to these guys even though I can see why they think we would be compatible. So, to some extent I can relate to the OP.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/05/22 01:04 AM
1

I don't think either of these are what OP meant, based on his description.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/05/22 01:01 AM

No, it doesn't. I can only speculate that other women also feel less intimidated when they approach.

There was a comment in your history about dating women: "I'm fine with paying for women I am with."
/r/PurplePillDebate30/04/22 11:28 PM

Women do tend to be less pushy for sex though, and more understanding ime when I've told them I'm not interested.

Hm...that's nice it worked out. In my experience, guys don't usually take girls seriously who ask them out.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/04/22 09:57 PM
2

Agree. We all need attraction in a relationship, but for women that can vary a lot. Shallow means you only care about looks, or prioritize it above everything else (when it's usually a combination of factors that draw people to eachother, or at least sustain the attraction).
/r/PurplePillDebate30/04/22 09:54 PM
2

Good. That's how it should be. I don't want a guy wasting my time if he's not interested. That's why I would rather wait until I know there is real interest, which if there is, he will usually make a move.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/04/22 09:48 PM
2

Yep, exactly 😂 Oh, the totally average man you were attracted to wasn't interested? Better lower your standards /s
/r/PurplePillDebate30/04/22 09:45 PM
3

Right? I've also been rejected and men will assume it never happens unless you're old or fat. Nope, it happened when I was thin and cute in my 20s. The guys weren't Chads either.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/04/22 09:31 PM
1

I can say from experience we do get rejected. The man will be flattered, sure, and if he's a f***boy will probably try to use the opportunity to get sex. But a relationship oriented guy will say no if he's not interested.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/04/22 09:30 PM
2

It's not rejection, but his point still stands that if a man is interested he will let us know. If he doesn't, he's not that interested. I've had really shy awkward men try to chat with me (maybe not ask me out directly, but make their interest clear).
/r/PurplePillDebate30/04/22 09:26 PM
2

I'm a woman and I totally agree. Men will approach if they really want to. Maybe not just when passing a stranger (thankfully), but if we know them for any length of time.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/04/22 09:24 PM
3

Not true. I've asked out average men (one in my 20s who was chubby and worked at walmart). It turned out he had a gf, not sure what would have happened otherwise.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/04/22 09:22 PM

Exactly, so why bother. If a man is interested, they tend to make it quite obvious.

I honestly thought OP was a guy at first. I agree that men are not picky when it comes to casual sex. But, many women aren't looking for that. I won't have sex outside a relationship, so if I can tell that's what the guy wants I reject them. I've asked men out a few times in the past and it never worked. I'm quite certain that despite what men say, they prefer to do the asking. They might feel flattered and take the opportunity for sex if one is presented, but I doubt it works well for starting …

/r/PurplePillDebate30/04/22 08:50 PM
1

Ngl, I'm in my 30s and do find men in their 20s attractive as well. I personally don't find a 10 year gap creepy unless the younger party is very young (like, a 19 year old and a 29 year old might be creepy, as they are at very different stages in life, and the younger person's brain is still developing). I have no issues with 25 and 35. 42 might be pushing it. I said decades younger, not one decade.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/04/22 08:29 PM
1

This has nothing to do with what I said, though. I'm not saying men don't find younger women attractive, of course they do. I'm saying there are older men who also find women their own age attractive. Especially the generations that haven't been brainwashed by porn.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/04/22 08:26 PM
2

This is a strawman argument. I said that it's creepy for grown men to stare at teenage girls, and you immediately jump to "girls who show off their bodies are asking for it." If you must know, one of the girls I worked with wore hoodies, and still got stares. The lengths men will go to defend eachother's actions are just pathetic.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/04/22 08:23 PM
1

Well, I do find that most of the time, total strangers who have cold approached me are looking for sex, or asking for money lol. The guys I've dated longer term I met through friend groups, shared activities, etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/04/22 08:17 PM
1

Yes. But the point is men are still able to find women attractive at older/similar ages. I would be kinda creeped out if she got hit on by a guy decades younger.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/04/22 08:12 PM
1

Just wow! Are u trolling rn? Ur literally blaming children for grown men being creepy. You have no idea what these girls even look like or were wearing, you just assume we are all wanting male attention.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/04/22 08:09 PM
2

I think you missed the point of my comment. I'm not saying I want those men to check me out. I'm saying it's creepy that men my age are checking out teenagers. I purposely do wear baggy clothes, because when I don't I have noticed random men staring at my chest and that makes me really uncomfortable.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/04/22 06:39 PM
8

Yes. I work with youth, and if I'm out with a teenage girl, men close to my age will check her out and ignore me. Hella creepy.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/04/22 08:31 AM

It's kind of true, though. My grandma is 90, literally in a retirement home and found a BF there.

I'm a straight woman, I've been hit on by lesbians, and will flirt back the same way I flirt with gay men. (I make it very clear that I won't hook up with them, so just in a joking way). In the end, we all have a laugh and no one gets hurt. Now if I reacted that way with a straight man, they would become pushy for sex and get mad when I turn them down. Women find gays and lesbians less threatening.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/04/22 07:47 AM
1

That said, I don't think the cold approach is "great" for either party. The better way would be getting to know people in a group or something, and seeing if mutual interest develops.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/04/22 06:28 AM
1

Most women will not go along with a guy they're not attracted to for "easy money," the way men will for easy sex. The only exceptions are maybe very rich and successful men, which tend to pursue women anyway. A regular middle class guy won't have women falling over themselves to get to his money, unless the woman is low income herself. The average woman won't say yes to a date just for that reason.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/04/22 06:25 AM

I agree and I'm a straight woman. I see a lot of women who make me envious. As in, wow, she is absolutely stunning, I wish I looked more like her. But when it comes to guys they are mostly average to me unless I develop a crush on them. Once I catch feelings, he becomes the hottest guy ever (even 5"6 with a dadbod, it's happened) and no one else can compare. The odd time I do see a drop dead gorgeous man, I assume they are out of my league and/or players, which kind of cancels out a strong attra…

Right? Idc about brand names or expensive cars/accessories, it would have zero effect on my interest level. Might even put me off if the guy seemed too materialistic.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/04/22 01:58 AM
1

I don't approach rich or hot guys, and if a very good looking guy approached me I would be wary of his intentions. We can assume most guys who cold approach are looking for a hookup.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/04/22 01:56 AM
1

Why should women cold approach and hit on guys when they will probably just use us for sex? I would rather get to know a guy (or be in his vicinity), and then if he shows interest, I'd have a better idea of what his intentions are. If I went around hitting on guys, they would probably "go along with it" hoping for easy sex, but wouldn't have been interested otherwise.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/04/22 01:54 AM

Welcome to the average women's situation. That's who usually hits on me as well.

I've actually taken a long break from dating (almost 2 years). The men I dated did find me attractive, though many of them just wanted casual sex, which is not what I was looking for. I was responding to OP's post about not finding women attractive over 30. My argument was that I keep reading/hearing about men having ED issues from porn, and trouble maintaining a good sex life with regular women. I said that's likely the issue, rather than women no longer being attractive. I was talking about a …

I agree, I was overgeneralizing a bit. Of course all women won't find all men attractive with those qualities, but I find that many men underestimate grooming and hygiene, and overestimate height and body type (big muscles) as being some kind of requirement. If a guy puts zero effort into their appearance, has bad teeth or BO, that's much more off-putting than being short or having a dad bod. A lot of women are accepting of those things, and many of us don't prefer gym rats. I haven't watched a …

Not sure about that. I think the general consensus is that it means people who can't get sex. If it's about relationships, the word itself doesn't fit.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/04/22 06:47 AM
3

You gave one example of one woman, so..? Plus, yeah, I think it's the fact her husband is getting a lot of female attention that bothers her, more than just not receiving attention herself. Most women wouldn't be comfortable with other woman "throwing themselves" at her husband, and this understandably might bring up some insecurity. If the husband himself was not being hit on, and the wife felt secure in his attraction to her, I doubt it would be an issue.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/04/22 06:40 AM
4

I feel like this is how it should be, and would be if the man had a normal sex drive. But many men these days seem to have warped their minds with porn, and now they can't be attracted to regular women (or end up with ED issues, because they are conditioned to getting off to something specific and unrealistic). Personally, I can find a man objectively attractive, but just looking at a random guy (even a good looking one) won't get me excited. I have to fall for him to be attracted sexually, and …

The OP said women are "just sexually attractive to men for a few years." That was a direct quote. My point is that women do want attention from the right kind of man, not just any random dude who winks or catcalls. By comparing women to cold pizza, you just proved yourself to be the type most would rather avoid. This may be news to some of you, but on a purely physical level women also find younger men more attractive. It's just that we care about things other than looks, like maturity and compa…

Most women will find a man attractive if he is confident, well-groomed (as in having good hygiene) and not obese. It's really not that hard. The "women are all going after Chads" is another one that really irks me. Guys out there needing literal porn stars and airbrushed models to be attracted and we are the shallow ones.

Right? I feel like the opinions here are skewed younger because I know many attractive women in their 30s (with no surgery) who get lots of male attention.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/04/22 02:11 AM

They do, actually. Trolls and abusers will harass people regardless of any fault on their part. But I won't disagree that FDS is offensive.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/04/22 02:07 AM
2

That's not true either. It is easy for women to get laid, period. Not always so easy to find a man with serious intentions. FDS is harsh, I'll give you that, but its main objective is trying to help women avoid the "pump and dump" type, as you put it. There are many a con artist/f**kboy out there (not just the Chads either, even unattractive ones) and it is right for women to help keep eachother safe. They sometimes go too far with their harsh comments, I agree, but the message needs to be put o…

So depressing.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/04/22 01:54 AM
1

Yes, but that doesn't make them incels. They could easily get sex, they just don't want it outside a committed relationship. If the majority of guys they meet just want sex, they are choosing to turn them down, and for a good reason.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/04/22 01:52 AM
1

They aren't any type of incel. Incel= involuntary celibate, and for these women abstaining from sex is voluntary. Maybe we need a new term.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/04/22 01:50 AM
6

Exactly. By this logic, even if an older man did score a younger "perfect 10" (which is unlikely unless they are rich or famous) they would lose attraction by the time that woman hits 30. So, no chance of having a good relationship or sex life for more than a few years? Do these guys think they can just keep discarding women as they age and going for younger ones? Good luck with that.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/04/22 01:45 AM
15

Also, you are both right and wrong about women wanting attention from men. What most women want is a life partner/companion, which includes physical attraction but also a connection deeper than that. What we don't care about is getting sexual attention from random men. Younger women may find it flattering to get hit on by guys their own age (I did), but it's because often times we are/were naive and thinking these guys had real interest in us. As I've grown older and realize most of them are jus…

If men didn't have ED issues from porn, they would find women attractive for more than "a few years," just as men in the past have. Don't blame your lack of attraction to women on the woman aging, when the real issue is your low sex drive.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/04/22 01:19 AM

No such thing as a female incels. You underestimate how easy it is for women to get laid. If we are celibate it's by choice.

Not laughing. The abusive, traumatizing messages and porn they were getting sent on the daily.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/04/22 08:06 AM

Most FDS users, if celibate, were choosing to be. So, not incels. I would argue that almost any woman can get sex, so female incels don't really exist.

Glad to see I'm not alone. I'm close to you in age and still a technical virgin for similar reasons. I've had anxiety over it (still being at this stage when I assumed I'd be married by now) but I know that hooking up with randoms (or even men I've dated) would make it so much worse. So I stay celibate 🤷‍♀️

I've never been accused of being a gold digger, but then, up until recently would continue seeing men who went 50/50 at Starbucks. It never sat well with me, and I'm glad to know I'm not alone. One of my friends married a guy with a decent job, who later got laid off, now refuses to work and stays home while she works FT and provides for him and their 3 kids. I'd rather be a gold digger.

That's really sad :( But you're not old yet and you've already figured this out. At almost 40, I've had little sexual experience, no kids and never married. I always wanted a traditional marriage but it didn't pan out. So I too grieved for lost time. I would listen to my friends go on about their latest hookup or FWB of the moment and worry I was missing out (by staying single and mostly celibate). FDS has taught me otherwise.

I've had people suggest I go on dates with men I'm not interested in for "practice." Tried it, do not recommend. It's awkward, and sometimes the guy will perceive that you have real interest and keep chasing. I've heard men complain about women who use them for a "free dinner," which I always found absurd and assumed projection on their part. I've even insisted such a thing doesn't exist, but this pickme woman seems to fit the bill.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
