graduate degree She doesn't strike me as very smart. Probably confused her GED high school diploma with "graduate degree." since the other option might have been "high school graduate", which she isn't.

Once you get older you realize how immature 22 year olds are. So what you really want is game until you’re 35, then find meet and marry a 22 year old with mid-30’s maturity. And I want a billion dollars to fall out of the sky on me. Good luck!

The state has replaced the family. The family is a pretty strong source of inequality. People can be lucked into wealth or poverty. We started using the state to rectify as much as we can. Extended families used to be the social security system. That’s ancient history. Love your family if they’re get and do well by you. Not everyone is so lucky.

There is nothing inherently wrong with divorce. There is plenty of things wrong with people who stay in abusive relationships. WTF is this whole pair bonding obsession come from but latent Blue Pill thinking. She's not yours, it's your turn. Every relationship (business, friendship, romantic) has an expiration date. Come to terms with that. Purple pillers are constantly thinking they can have their cake and eat it too. They can sleep around and then magically find a virgin to settle down with. M…

chemical oxytocin is produced It's produced when you masturbate. It's produced by some pain killers. It's produced when you get a promotion. Get an award. Breastfeed. Win the lottery. Oxytocin is a reward chemical in the brain and can be produced by a lot of behavior the body wants to reward. Sex is one of those things. No doubt by affecting the reward pathways in the body you can condition behavior. This is pretty close to Classical (Pavlovian) conditioning. Does it remove the organisms ability…

This shit has been scientifically measured. What you just spewed is the madeup bullshit they cover in fundamentalist Christian sex ed. Everyone loves differently. Some people love monogamy, others hate it. Some like poly for a while and go back and forth. There is not one path.

It assumes everything which as order has a meaningful intelligent designer. While we can't reject the idea of an overarching designer (such an idea is unfalsifiable, therefore unscientific) there are clearly a nearly infinite set of undirected processes which result in order.

That's not remotely what cargo culting means. Cargo culting is when someone or some group does something with no understanding of the underlying reason. They've seen other people do it or heard it's required, but for themselves have no real idea why they're doing something. It's a form of magical thinking. "I'll wear this crystal and somehow I'll be more successful in life"

I blamed my inability to code as fervently With me coding is my addiction. Set attainable goals and enjoy the victories. Before you know it people will have to pull you away from code.

~ $4.3M net worth in my mid 30's. I was born to solidly middle class parents. I have several passions that are lucrative when done well. You almost certainly game with an emulator I wrote. You probably have my app installed on your phone. And you probably use hardware I helped invent. I stood up, got "rejected" by management until my voice was heard. I made software I wanted to use first and it turned out others wanted as well.

Vesperous, you're young and unless your parents have abandoned you, have almost no idea how the real world works. It's not fun to hear but it's just fact. Today, immediately go out and avenge yourself, whoever or whatever made you look like a retard, find it and fix it. If it's a girl? Fuck a hotter girl. You got fired? Go make more money then you've ever made. Your dad said you won't be shit? Get a car nicer than his. This is terrible advice. Anger motivating you really only goes so far in life…

How about this? The odds of a terrorist of any kind killing you are small. The average American can expect a more lethal threat from their furniture than a terrorist attack.

If you're defending prison as not being that bad, you're living a fucked up life.

it is better that way. Making plans is not being afraid of the future, it's being able to deal with contingencies. And whether you like it or not, you have a plan, just not one you're aware of. From the sound it, your plan is to retire to prison. Good luck with that.

"I Don’t Want to Belong to Any Club That Will Accept Me as a Member" - Groucho Marx This is human nature. We want what we can't have. If someone is throwing themselves at me I wonder what's wrong them (or me.)

Exactly. If you read my earlier posts you'll see what I do is both lucrative and innovative. It's fun to talk about my work and girls love trying it out. It's got me laid more than anything else. So if you're a CEO of a motorcycle company, by all means tell her and then take her for a ride. She'll be wrapped around your finger. As with a lot of things, your mileage may vary.

How much is a lot? Came from middle class now a millionaire living in a large SF apartment driving decent cars. I don't exactly flash cash but I don't hide it either. I don't get any of this. If anything girls assume out of the gate I'm going to fuck and chuck so I'm the one who has to say anything if I want it to go further.

I have a budget created that allows me to live very comfortably with $40,000 take home, which is a low estimate compared to what I expect to get. It's not about money, it's about having and sticking to your passion. I am a successful engineer and though I work a lot I don't really feel like I've worked a day in my life.

Late to the party but this is total bullshit. Masturbated 1-2 times every day since my hand could reach my dick. Also can keep my girl satisfied multiple times a day too if she's up for it. The whole ED and "porn addiction" is in your head.

Agreed. Everything else I've seen in this thread is hilarious. A girl who gives me an ultimatum is on the street before she's finished her explanation. Can't hear the "I'm pregnant" one seriously since I have a vasectomy. Sure they fail but they fail at the rate of winning the Powerball so I'll take my chances. I don't give a shit about saving money on rent or mortgage. My rent is about $8k a month and most people can barely make a dent on that. No, the only way I've seen women try to lock me do…

Something you need to know about SF is that most of the guys working in tech are beta as fuck. Completely agree. I know guys who've done well for themselves and are still terrified of women.

I quit my job and came home and told my wife I quit. She said I was making a mistake and that she would not come with me. So I told her I didn't want her with me. Behavior in marriages matches behavior in divorce and my ex-wife is probably the most passive aggressive person on the planet. I used to enable her sulking but when it occurred to me what was going on I stopped tolerating it. This is all to say I haven't heard from her at all since the argument that started our separation. I was still …

Easier than it sounds. Most financial advisors are there to sell you shit you don't need. Almost none of them have your interests in mind. This is something I've had to rapidly learn as whomever firm realizes I'm carrying this sort of cash around. So it's more important to find people you can trust--they can be dishonest people so long as you know where they're bullshitting. There's a lot of psychopaths in this space so dishonesty comes with the territory.

Once I realized my boss was dense and I was enabling him, I started looking for other work. I moonlighted a job search on top of my existing job. Just like with dating, the important thing to remember is that you are what's desired. Don't go into an interview desperate for the job, remember (and this is particularly true for start up companies) that they are probably more desperate for you. Keep that in mind when you interview the company. Don't take your first offer just because. My job search …

Highlights: Had a wife that refused to work, and refused to do housework because "I'm a feminist and that's woman's work." So I asked her to fix things and mow the lawn to which she said, "That's man's work." Turns out she wasn't a feminist, just lazy. Had a boss at an earlier startup that refused to sense market conditions. I had saved the company a number of times, even had some patents to show for it, but he refused to significantly promote me or make me a partner. Realized that I was enablin…

Writing from my throwaway account because Silicon Valley is a small place. For what it's worth I've been meaning to post my FR here about red pill. I used to be a chump in a dead end marriage and job. I realized I had the skills and joined a startup. Within eight months we were acquired for a three comma club figure. Had redpill not given me the kick in the ass I need, I'd have missed the boat completely. TLDR; Take risks. Sometimes they pan out.
