I have the book and live in Australia. I often find myself wanting a southern hemisphere version. That being said, I'd say only 1/5 of the content pertains to the seasons. While it annoys me at times, I still find the book valuable overall and wholeheartedly recommend it.

I pay half the bills and rent using personal savings I had from before we met. I saved money for 10 years specifically so that I could support myself through University... Seems balanced to me.

When I was in undergrad, I wore a dress or skirt everyday. This might be unpopular on this sub, I found that when I wore a dress, curled my hair, and full-coverage makeup, people complimented me but I felt really out of place. I had similar difficulties as you. I read The Surrendered Wife by Laura Doyle (a common suggestion around here, if you haven't read it yet I would really recommend it! I was able to google and find a free PDF) In that book, there is a whole section on expressing your feelings and wants.
