Modern comedies forget one thing, just be funny and nobody will care what you are. Look at John Belushi, sure, his career was short due to his drug addiction but it was great while it lasted. He was a coke addict, he wasn't exactly what you would call handsome but my god, he was a scream in comedy. Look at Animal House, look at Blues Brothers, look at his SNL stuff. He isn't handsome, but he has talent, that is all that matters
