I think this actually based in a fear of failure. It's easier to tell yourself to just be friends with them than it is to put yourself out there and risk getting rejected. Read models by mark manson, there's a pretty large section in that about this exact situation

Like with pretty much everything, a sense of humour can definitely be developed so don't get down if you think people don't find you funny. However before we get on to that it's worth considering whether it's your delivery rather than the actual jokes themselves that is the problem. Have you ever noticed how "funny people" can say almost anything and people will find it hilarious? While some can say something incredibly witty and get no reaction at all? Often this is due to the "funny person" be…

If you're in the same class you have the perfect in - simply go and ask a question about the class or tell them something you found interesting. Then, if they respond in a neutral or receptive manner introduce yourself and let the conversation continue from there. If it goes well maybe suggest studying together sometime. Remember if they're non receptive then that is their problem for being cold, there's absolutely nothing wrong with asking a classmate a question, so don't get disheartened if yo…

Things like putting your hand on her thigh, arm round her waist, putting her hands around your neck are all good moves (if you have the confidence to pull this off it works great). However if she sees you as close platonic friends than it is very difficult to change that. Best thing to do would be to ask her out, if she says yes great, if she says no then at least you know for sure it wasn't going to work out and you can try and move on. I know it can be tough but there are better girls out ther…

You can't attract everyone. No matter how smooth, confident, good looking or outrageous you are, not everyone will find you attractive and a lot of the women who do won't be in a situation where they can do something about it (they go back to their home country soon, you remind them too much of their ex, they have a boyf etc). The sooner you can accept this the sooner you can move on The more you care about the outcome of the interaction, the less likely it'll go the way you want it to. This may…

Maintained eye contact, eyes darting to your lips when talking, seems fixated on whatever you say, and she's already proved receptive to other forms of touching (you put your arm round her and she leans in, or she touches your thigh cough). Ultimately though the only way to find out for sure is to go for it. Remember not going for it is the same as rejection, except you won't have gained the experience you get from being rejected.

Currently reading models (has been recommended a lot here) but day bang definitely sounds worth a read! My night game is pretty strong as it's more natural to approach in a bar or club and girls are likely more receptive. Want to expand my day game though so thanks for the rec

The type of vulnerability that models preaches is putting yourself out there. Putting yourself in a position where you might get rejected. The opposite of vulnerability being safety in this case. What the comic is showing is a woman finding it unattractive that this man isn't confident in who he is, and that he's worried what people will think of him

Having recently come out of a long term relationship (well, for a 19yo (it was 2.5 years)) I've only recently gotten in to the pickup community, but have had great success so far. I definitely would be interested in being a part of this community if it would help further mine and others' development

Thanks, to be honest I just want to share my experiences with people here. If people decide they disagree with my views at least I've helped them make some kind of decision :P

I'm no expert in his techniques but I did see a video of him giving a seminar about being in Japan and doing exactly that. Just going up to random girls and choking them, or shoving their faces to his dick

True, but the chances of a woman wanting to be choked by a random stranger seem slim if you ask me, and those who dislike it will absolutely hate it.

Talk to them, say whatever comes to mind, build rapport, if she gives off signals say "we should hang out sometime, what's your number?" If things are going really well (you should have kissed at this point), look her in the eyes and, without blinking, say "want to get out of here?" If she says no, ask why. If she says "I'm not going to have sex with you" tell her "how about we just snuggle instead" (must be said with a cheeky smile to work). If she says her friends are all there still just tell…

Main tip to give you: kiss them! Sounded like they were gagging for it mate why didn't you kiss them?

Whether his techniques are actually successful or not is irrelevant, they are misogynistic and I would hope you're above using them to get girls. Sure you may end up getting with a few women very very quickly, but you'll also make lots and lots of them extremely uncomfortable. Pick up is about improving your social skills more than anything, and Julien's techniques are the epitome of douchebaggery

Realised this should be in r/askseddit, should I copy and paste it or can someone move it over?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
