2	Fathers, if you got equal custody, what factors helped you the most ? Proving you are a fully capable parent as much as the mother. PA has a list of factors a judge must follow to make a ruling. I read through a bunch of case text to see what the trials would be like and how the judges ruled. My hill was always 50/50 and would spend every last nickle I had to get it. In the end I was right that I’m just as if not more of a capable parent then my ex. The only time I every questioned giving up was when she brought them to court as witnesses. 1	can anyone please offer peace of mind.. as minimal as it may be? New York should have a list of factors that a judge has to follow for custody. Read them and change anything in your life that favors the ruling. It’s a long road. I was in a very similar situation and just was awarded after trial 50/50 custody of my kids s11 d10 in PA. It should be standard right from the start but it’s not and it’s sad fathers have to prove to everyone we can take care of our kids. Kids also see through the manipulation and games.
