About eight or so classes is what had to take, on top of my gen ed. It's been a bit so let's see if I remember. Also, only an associates, but still a pointless degree. Fire Behavior (limited chemistry) Building Construction Fire Prevention Systems Fire History/101 Foreground Hydraulics (math) Plus a few more miscellaneous classes that I can't recall. Basically it makes you look smart-er when you apply for a fire department job.

I think my use of 'valid' was the wrong choice. Essentially I was trying to say what you just said. Sure it's a valid degree, but how much application can it get?

Is it though? Is my Fire Science degree as valid as any other degree? I highly doubt it.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
