That is so sad. I pity you.

Yup. agreed. saving my sanity is more important than arguing with chronically online teenagers and PUAs on reddit.

Agreed. Unloading the gun is better than wearing a bulletproof vest.

Goes back to my earlier point though — if what you want is real love, this mindset is a major repellant.

This was a really well thought-out explanation. Thanks! Honestly just walking away from this a little sadder for these men :/ Love is real, you guys. Getting hurt is part of the process. Both of those things can be true.

Upvote for the honesty and self awareness :)

Hard agree. My boyfriend (29M, straight) jokingly said he’s a “total slut” and it really took me aback. I had never thought of men as sluts before, and in our following conversation it was so eye opening. I felt safe talking to a man who really had equal standards across genders like that. It made me really respect him and in turn feel respected.

I can give you that. But do they seem genuinely happy? Like they truly connect with women in their life? Like they have felt love? Trust? Genuine connection and appreciation for another human being? Sex alone and the dogged pursuit of it at the expense of humanity is so sad and disgusting.

which is so sad to me. the only thing stopping them is their mindset. it’s a female repellent and they refuse to see that.

it bothers me in this thread that the women are prefacing statements with “oh but not all men” etc, but the guys are making generalized statements that supposedly apply to all women. i guess it’s an extension of mens’ hypocrisy, which, yes — disgusts me.

it clearly does bother you if you’re going to call a vagina a “bearded axe wound turning into a theme park”

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
