What makes the human emotion more valid than a hypothetical robot that is perfectly human-like? Your brain is firing sets of chemicals making you feel things. From the perspective of an alien they are about as valid as electrical signals causing the same effects in a robot's brain. Our emotions are built on evolutionary algorithms.
