There is nothing Orwellian about hate speech laws. They have nothing to do with the spread of misinformation, mass surveillance, or denial from government. America is undeniably the most Orwellian society in the free world right now, and there are no hate speech laws. The UK, Canada, Australia, and other countries with hate speech laws are far less Orwellian.
