This is where we differ then. I really appreciate the conversation! Every good discussion gives me new insight and I love discussing with people who can challenge my ideals. If you ever want to debate or discuss anything or get an opposing viewpoint shoot me a PM!

There are people who don't give a damn, people without any empathy towards another human being, and you are right there are some people that no matter the social situation or if they receive treatment they will not change. Their brains are not capable of empathy for one reason or another. That is a little beside the point, though. Let me ask you this: do you believe manipulation, corruption, lying and deceiving are desirable qualities? Do you want these qualities to continue in the human race? I…

It is hard to measure because there is a lot that contributes to how a person turns out. Some of it is opportunities and situations but you are right, that is not all that goes into the quality of a person. This may get down to some fundamental differences in our philosophies. The way a person's brain handles the different chemicals of emotion plays a lot into it. When I was first hit with depression and anxiety I was a completely different person. I had no motivation, it was incredibly difficul…

The problem comes in when you b…

I appreciate your further explanation! Obviously I do not know every situation and it is very well possible that these would be necessary occasionally. It just seems that if these are life rules to believe in, as they are presented, they are very destructive. I thought I would put an opposing thought out here from someone with experience in both a life of lies and manipulation for my benefit and now a life of openness, honesty, trust, respect and an attempt to remove the ego.

This is makes me incredibly sad. You are creating a world for yourself full of lies and deceit. I guess if that is what you want for yourself then your post is the way to go. It makes me sad because everyone has the potential to cultivate a life of love, honesty and respect and there is no way a life like that can exist with the mentality and rules brought up in this post. I wish everyone could experience what it is like to be truly joyful on a daily basis. Yes, being honest, willing to forgive,…

May I ask you: What would be your ideal relationship?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
