Some of it is opportunities and situations but you are right, that is not all that goes into the quality of a person. This may get down to some fundamental differences in our philosophies. If we are willing to be humble and honest about our faults then so are the people around us. It just seems that if these are life rules to believe in, as they are presented, they are very destructive.
