I used online dating for this very reason and I just ended up wasting a bunch of money on bad first dates. If you're trying to forego the self improvement aspect of seduction online dating will not save you.

If only I had read this when I was 17 and not 27. Should be required reading for guys in school.

But either way it means that she's not interested in you. Not at all. Its possible she's not yet this response is not necessarily indicative of her interest or lack there of.

If you're in that spot again without out a phone and you want to get her number... You can obviously go old school and write it down. Having her write it on your hand or arm is fun and different. Or you can have her text you her name and where you met right there infront of you that way you'll have it when you turn your phone back on. Just a tip for next time. Awesome job though man.

Thanks! But I didn't delete anything. At least not intentionally. The main post still shows for me.

I used to think like this. Still do sometimes. Here's the thing. Some people are social and want to be approached. Some people aren't. The only way to know is to try. Last night I approached a group of young girls outside a bar. About 6 of them. A couple were warm and playful. A couple didn't talk at all. And a couple were bitchy. I approached them all at the same time the same way. Why would some react positively, some neutrally, and some negatively? People are just different. Different moods, …

Get that "gentleman" and "chivalry" bull shit out of your head. Its poison. I'm not saying don't hold the door open for her or don't give her your jacket if its cool out. I'm saying be honest with yourself. If you want something go for it. She'll respect you way more for that than she would if you just played the white knight to appease her.

Changed my life. Glad you enjoyed it. I promise if you put it into practice it'll pay off.

You didn't turn her on man. That's it. It's part of the process. You'll get better. I'm not an expert on escalation by any means. But what's worked for me is building to it and measuring her reaction. Think of it like a speedometer on a car. If kissing is 35mph then try going to 55mph by putting your hand up her shirt. Don't ask. Just do it. If she pushes you off comply and ease back down to 35mph but don't say sorry or anything like that. Just pretend it didn't happen. Then in a bit go to 45mph…

Dude awesome job. A lot of people on this sub forget its a support group and want to puff their chests out behind their usernames to make themselves feel better. So if anyone wants to tell you this isn't a success. Their wrong. Congrats on having the balls to approach. Congrats on getting her back home. And congrats on getting the kiss. Be proud of yourself. Now remember how good that felt and approach the next girl you see. If you get her back. Escalate to sex. She's expecting you to at least t…

Dude seek her out and go up to her. Tell her you saw her and didn't know what to say. Don't be afraid to be vulnerable. People appreciate that. Especially women. Even if she rejects you you'll be glad you took action. And if you're worried about it being weird after just smile at her next time you see her. Its only weird if you let it be. Show her you don't care and she won't either.

I use meetup.com Pretty big in NYC. But you can also just Google "social anxiety support groups" in your city and I'm sure you'll find some stuff.

Well I have been dating that's not an issue. Approaching is still in a issue though in that I can't do it in any situation. I'm still uncomfortable approaching groups for instance. But I'm working on it. Thanks for the kind words. The fact that you remembered this in that moment means a lot to me. Hopefully next time it will prompt you to act. Best of luck!

When I say AA I mean that feeling you get in the pit of your stomach. In that moment is when your flight or fight response kicks in. If your entire life you have not acted in that moment you have to train yourself to react. That's what approaching has done for me. So that feeling doesn't go away you just learn to harness it.

Interesting... For instance I've started approaching girls and, while I'll always go for the number, I won't always text because I didn't find them that desirable after talking with them. Is this sort of what you're talking about?

Honestly for me its gone pretty well as of late. I'll outline what I'm doing differently for you... I'm talking slower. When I get nervous I talk fast. My goal is to be interested not interesting (watch Nick Sparks' speech on approaching and conversation on YouTube). Helped me more than anything I've ever read or listened to. I don't ask for the number. Usually I close with something like this..."Hey you seem really cool but I have to run. We should go on a date though. I'm free Thursday night a…

I suffer from social anxiety. My goal is to get over that. And then ultimately teach confidence to people who suffer from SA as well. Sure I want to get laid, what guy doesn't? But that's not my primary motivation. Aside from practicing pick up I meditate, I've become a member of Toastmasters, I participate in support groups for shyness and social anxiety, as well as read and listen to lectures about confidence and social anxiety. I work 9-5, work out every other day, spend 2-3 nights a week wit…

That's awesome man. Don't get in your head about what you did wrong or right. You saw an opportunity and took action. Continuing doing that and the results will come with time.

I've come to a similar realization as you and you're right its amazing. I'm still not a point where I 100% don't give a fuck. But I'm getting there and where before I thought it would never happen now I realize its just a matter of time.

If you still think getting rejected sucks you're missing something. Someone told me once that confidence is a muscle. Its not. Its muscles, plural. You can't just work out one or two muscles and expect to be in the best shape possible. You need to condition your entire body to get the results you want. Same with building confidence. Start thinking about things about you that you don't like and work on fixing those things. Challenge yourself to add or remove something from your lifestyle that you…

I used to think like you. You know how many friends I made in the last 2 years? ZERO You know how many girls I dated in the last 3 years? Two You know how many friends I've made in the last two months? Three You know how many girls I've dated in the last two months? If not being a "douchebag" works for you, great. It didn't work for m…

Every time I approach now I assume I'm getting a date. And the reason for that isn't because I've gotten a ton of dates. I haven't. I've just learned to love myself. When I get rejected now I don't think she rejected ME I think I didn't present myself in the best way possible. So even if I went back to that girl and tried to get a date and she rejected me my reaction wouldn't have been "What's wrong with me?" it would have been "What could I do different next time?" So thanks again for your inpu…

See? This is the problem. People think showing vulnerability equates to weakness. Its quite the opposite. Showing your rough edges is actually very confident IF you accept them. I used to deny the fact I was shy to people. I'd make excuses like I was tired or having a bad day. Now I just come out with it. I'm human and I'm flawed. I make jokes about it and people often respond extremely positively when I do. Because I'm being genuine and I'm confident enough to admit I have a problem I'm working…

Baby steps. Don't feel like you need to overcome every fear at once. Tackle one at a time, one step at a time. At one point you'll take a bay step and feel like you took ten huge steps. Just never feel like this anxiety owns you. I promise its beatable just keep working at it and pushing your comfort zone.

Being in sales I'm very aware that these people are trained to take advantage of people who are afraid to say no. I know I acted like a douche. But so was she. Her interest was selfish. So was mine. Stop thinking only in terms of how the person is affected. Be selfish.

I think this was great advice in general. I wouldn't tell some to just say no to everything. What I've found for me though is because I'm not afraid of being trapped in those small moments where I can't defend myself I find myself taking more chances and saying "yes" more often as well. I used to be the type person that I hated going out unless I was in a very comfortable safe environment. Now I find myself going out 3 or 4 times a week. Also, if a group of friends recommends going to a strip cl…

Reading it back I see where you guys are coming from. What I meant to say was given that I was feeling good after doing that I wouldn't have been as nervous talking to her as I would have been on a normal approach and when I'm feeling good like that I perform better.
