My problem with your initial comment is that you immediately resorted to telling a 15 year old boy that he is a "victim" of his sexuality and masculinity being villainized without even knowing each and every detail in the context of the actual stories. Maybe the parents thought and did as you would do when you would screen boys to protect your daughter.
