There was a 0 before my graduation year, so I'm probably a bit out of the loop of you crazy kids and your ways of communicating. Like I said though, just take the time to establish a base friendship and then start inviting her to hang out with alone or with others when you, you could even be so forward to ask her when she might actually be interested, in nicer terms anyway.

Maybe you should try to make your advance their first. Like get her phone number, or give her yours and talk to her over text or on the actual phone. If she isn't the least bit interested in talking to you that way than she most likely doesn't really want to move past bring friends or acquaintances outside of school. It still wouldn't be unheard of or unbelievable if she was just nervous. Do you talk to her outside of class/school? Concentrate on trying to become her friend first, if she is interested in you too, then things will be a lot more natural. I have never been in a relationship where we weren't relatively good friends first.

Personally, I feel like there are two possibilities: she is either stringing you along and making fun of you OR she is just shy and is nervous to hang out outside of school. How old are you guys? If you are like freshman or sophomore the ladder becomes even more likely.
