if you only like death metal and your partner only likes K-pop, how are you going to see a band live? Compromise

Get it in an e-mail. If you don't want to ask him to write it out, you write it out and get a 'confirmation' that's how he wants it done.

The OP was implying that men are being genocided. I made a joke about sperm (knucklebabies) being killed due to an increase in male masturbation.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/23 06:11 PM

Knucklebabies by the trillions.

It's not that fun, there's a lot of challenges and expectations that I never asked for. How is this a woman thing? This is a life thing, it all sucks for everyone most people.

Total US servicemen KIA for Iraq and Afghanistan was under 10k. We lose 4 times that every year from car accidents.

It's like military recruiting, if you don't recruit them right out of high school, you're never gonna get them signed on.

Because people see happiness and well-being as a zero sum game. Why do people go out of their way to misinterpret or misdirect the conversation when I say exactly what I mean?

I will continue to believe that that account is some weird troll performance piece...

Ya, I've had bouts of that anxiety with work. Nothing wrong with getting back to them on your time.

I got mine on a silent buzzcode. Different vibrate patterns for work email, personal email, text and app notification. Even got a little dampener pad under my charger so it doesn't vibrate my desk too loud.

Not sure about others, but I did this hike about a month ago. Parked in the south part around 7am, walked to the north part by about 1pm. Hung out for a bit and walked back to the campground for an overnight just as dusk was setting. Backpack camp overnight and walked back to the car the next morning. A little over 20 miles in 2 days. That's hiking for me. I try to get out at least once every 2 months through the entire year.

Wouldn't gay for pay be consumed mostly by gay guys? Similar to the broke college girl/casting couch genre consumed by straight guys?

My ex-wife also had a much higher number than me (high 20's vs my 3), which I was fine with. I wasn't fine that the counting didn't stop with me...
/r/PurplePillDebate19/04/23 07:45 PM

Do yourself a favor and stop having parasocial relationships with celebrities. Their lives are different from what you see, and different from 'regular' people.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/04/23 02:13 PM

It's not ideal form, but can you rotate your wrist inwards on the way down? Even 45 degrees in might stretch that tendon less. Or try a bench curl or preacher curl till you strengthen up that arm.

Engagement rings originally had real resale value so that the wife had an emergency bit of income if the household income disappeared. That's why you hear rules about them costing 1-3 months income. Now they are useless since resale is a pittance and women can work.

It's difficult for sure. And even harder to deal with than gambling or drinking. You can't go cold-turkey from buying things. More on the order of an eating disorder. I'm sad to say I never saw her find a solution, and I know it got worse immediately after we spilt. A few things that were sort of working for a while was 'everything has a home' where anything bought had to have a space cleared out and designated before we went shopping and sticking to shopping lists religiously. Good luck, I know…

I asked that, never got a rational answer. She was also asking me to get a reversal surgery. Baby rabies are real.

I got a vasectomy years before we started dating and was up front about no kids. She knew I was snipped and said she would be fine living the DINK life and traveling. 3 years in and she was shopping around her exes for a 'sperm donor'. I was willing to work with her on her hoarding/shopaholic issues and we were in single/couple therapy to work on that. But when the trust was gone so was I.

To add to your Bernie Madoff analogy, anyone who gets sold on 30% per year, every year and says "Sweet deal, seems legit" has a busted bullshit detector (and shouldn't be investing.)

That I have no idea how to properly filter partners and it's not worth my time to try. My most recent breakup was my divorce, when my ex-wife was shopping around her exes to get her pregnant. I got a vasectomy years before we started dating and was up front about no kids. She knew I was snipped. If I'm honest about myself and my intentions and still get cheated on, short of believing that everyone is lying to me, what else is there to do? Edit: also note I'm not whining about giving up. In my mi…

I want a woman that won't cheat on me. Break-up if you're not feeling it anymore, but don't cheat. So far 0 for 5 on LTRs. Should I lower my standards? Because at this point I've given up looking.

I'm curious to know why this is 'mansplaining' and not 'idiotsplaining'. I've had this done to me as well, as a man, by both men and women.

Is the annual gathering an all ages thing? I've noticed that events like that have planning meetings set up around retired peoples' schedules. Like 10am on a Wednesday. And as a result the music/food/events follow suit. A good mix of festivities and I'd show up. Bridge, shuffleboard and Bing Crosby and I might as well just go visit an old folks home instead.

What's even worse is when they call them "God's precious miracle" or some other bullshit to justify their decision to impose permanent suffering on someone.

Also curious, this was the best explanation I could find. Being pushed for “yes” makes people defensive, but saying “No” makes the speaker feel safe, secure, and in control, so trigger it. Ask no-oriented questions, like: “Is now a bad time to talk?” and “Have you given up on this project?”

ELO only accounts for winning/losing. Messaging 'down' is losing while the one who got messaged from 'up' is winning. The larger the difference in ranking, the more more your rank (perceived datability) changes.

Silly statistics question, but assuming roughly equal number of gays to lesbians, doesn't that mean that 43% of the male population will also be single by 2029? If so, why not state it as 43% of people will be single?
