I'm one of those guys that never had a decent male role model in his life. I get pulled from one idea to another when it comes to expected male behaviour. What you're saying is that we have to be completely honest to everyone we meet, work hard, earn respect of people around us, and be fearless. That sounds good. But no gossip - what then do we talk about? Because I find I talk to most people about gossip (what others are up to/funny stories), work or sports/hobbies.

Ben Saunders did a good 10 minute TED talk on this, entitled "Why Bother Leaving the House?". Outside is where life is happening!

It's quite personal, and shows many of my insecurities. I would feel uncomfortable sharing all of it, but I can give you some of the stuff such as seduction techniques, lines, quotes. PM me your email address

Some people like to be organised, and not forget their goals. One of the biggest mistakes people make when they set goals is to make them too vague. OP has broken them down into smaller achievable weekly goals, and critiqued it so he knows he can improve. Sure, it has taken some time, but he's heading in the right direction at a fast pace.

Fucking fantastic. This is the direction I want this subreddit to be headed: genuine self-improvement through empowering people to achieve their goals (social, relationship, whatever). I have done a very similar thing to OP, and have several documents that I continually edit, which collate my own thoughts, favourite quotes (funny, interesting, inspirational), summaries of my clothing style, mannerisms, morals, key notes on game, hobbies, nutrition, lifting, ideas, study techniques, goals, etc. T…

Or if you have a life, learn to embrace it, be proud of it, and share it with others. Too often I used to know someone for months and then the subject would come up: "Oh my god, you're in a band?? I didn't know that!" To me, I would rather hear this form you than being told in our first conversation. If I hear a month later, that you are in a band, I will think this guy is not arrogant about his achievements and he may even have other hobbies that I haven't discovered yet. I have grown to despis…

Those two aren't the traditional super-scary asian horror flicks. I've also seen The Ring jap version, and it was terrifically scary. These two are just my favourites and a little bit scary, your girl might not have a similar taste in horror films. Check if she prefers psychological horrors, slashers or just comedy/horrors because my recommendations might not be suitable.

The Shining is a good film. It's pretty scary. It will explain a few cultural references as well haha. My favourite horror movies are: From Dusk Til Dawn - quentin tarantino plus rodriguez. great funny film with absurd plot A Tale of Two Sisters - korean film, great twist House - japanese, old, not that scary, but very surreal and oh so funny 28 Days Later - apocalypse movie, again not that scary, but good plot The Hills Have Eyes - pretty scary, i liked it The Exorcism of Emily Rose - scary

I'm sure this question has been asked, and answered, before, but I am losing focus of why it is important to "remind yourself you're really great" when you're actually not. Not targeting you specifically OP, but this comes up all the time in seddit. The reason we suppress our true selves to others is because we are not confident in ourselves and the way we will be perceived by others. Instead of faking it, why not harden the fuck up and make a positive change in your life? Give yourself a reason…

I found a video called "Club Dance For Men Level 2" on torrent sites, which was quite good. No fancy moves, just how to move to the music, side stepping, bopping around, it was somewhat helpful.

self-deprecation is one type of humour. there are many other types, and if you're naturally a funny guy you should have no problem picking them up: metaphor (in a humorous way can be great), word exchange/simile (lots of examples such as: using "getting wet" instead of "fucking"), condescension, sarcasm, deliberate lying (said with a trollface), roleplay, black humour, hyperbole, etc. I suggest writing down what you think is funny, and then find out why it is funny. As such you will be able to b…

It's true. If a girl wants to friendzone you, it is exactly that, they are one of your mates. Yes, they should be winging with you. Yes, they should be on the receiving ear of you telling them how hot the bartender is. Yes, you should be playfully punching them in the arm and joking around with them.
