I understand that but the point is that r-selective species aren't exactly 'promiscuous' (they just have shorter pregnancies and can pop out a lot more kids so it seems as if they are) so acting promiscuous is not displaying behavior similar to them. Edit: I guess you could mean that when a man has a high number of children around the same time, then it would be similar to r-selection. While that is still wrong, it's a little more bearable.

Not within the confinements of this theory, they don't. r/K-selection has nothing to do with how many times you have sex or how many women you fuck, trying to assign r or K to a member of any species based on promiscuity is a sign of ignorance in basic biology.

I think if a woman reaches her mid twenties (or thirties in some cultures) without a relationship, there's gotta be a reason no other man has gone near her. With some men, yes, it's insecurity and their way of dealing with someone becoming more powerful (in a sense) than them. But from my experience, there are also others who just do it because they can, they're assholes. Be a decent guy, escalate and tease in "relatively private" areas (the excitement of possibly getting caught can be a huge turn on).
