1	Stop making the patriarchy a thing. It’s not a thing. They did, if they weren't married. In marriage, women were not considered to own property, but this doesn't mean they didn't have almost all the benefits of property anyway. Back then marriage meant that a man had a legal obligation to support his wife, and thus he legally controlled the assets and was the breadwinner. He was almost like the sole "legal entity" so to speak, and could even be held responsible for his wife's actions. You don't need another person's consent to abstain from sexual relations. Obviously you need some form of added influence when it comes to the concept of something being involuntary, as not being a volunteer automatically implies a lack of consent or acceptance and thus the influence that makes it so must be in existence. Involuntary celibate. Let's review the definition of celibacy: "a person who abstains from marriage and sexual relations" So involuntary celibate would be someone who does not choose to abstain from marriage and sexual relations, but still cannot acquire them.
