I don't see anywhere in that paragraph where I blamed my oneitus on porn. I blamed oneitus causing me to watch porn.

I have every fucking right to be as angry as I am due to the simple fact that I myself believed a lie during one of the most developmental stages of my life. It is TRP afterall; discovered NoFap two years ago and TRP a year after. I've spent the past 2 years in monk mode lifting, learning, and staying away from useless distractions. This thread was made to show my personal experience with my particular religion and the skewed world view that it forces upon individuals men and women alike. I was …

Clock in, clock out, and enjoy the 4 hours left you have to enjoy life? Sounds like shit to me. Unless I misunderstood you; I get what you're saying, keep your political, social, and personal opinions out of the work environment.

Do you enjoy the work you do? Also, does being more 'alpha' help you in the industry/ do people look up to you as the dominant? Or would you say to pretend to be 'beta' in order to fit into the environment?

Don't take any SSRIs; I've taken 5-HTP and it just made me more depressed/numb. You feel as if nothing matters and start overthinking your entire life to the point where you just want to end it. It may work for you but didn't for me. Of course; first time I've ever tried it (1st week I should say). I felt amazing; talkative, and didn't care for anything. Afterwards it started going downhill and it lost its effect. I've become passive and didn't care for anything afterwards.

What kind of programming do you work with? Have you thought that maybe you aren't challenging yourself? Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Quantum Computing? Endless amounts of skills to build that stem from computing. Virtual reality is going to be huge in the next decade.

Appreciate the support in this thread you guys are the fucking shit. I've read countless books on self-development as mentioned in my post, one of them being "Law of Success" and "Think and Grow Rich" by Napoleon Hill. Timeless pieces of "success/self-development" literature; a basic outline for most modern day business "gurus" but I digress; the book mentions using a woman (healthy marriage) as your motivation, support and strive for success in life. Considering that these books were written in…

How to deal with the depression associated with my experience. You summed it up nicely.

Appreciate the responses. How would I go about gaining that "alpha" mentality. The people in the "computer science" field get the social stigma of being considered "beta, nerds; watching porn and playing video games." Most of my work is done on a computer; as well as the studying; I don't get to go out much and socialize/practice those skills in the real world, and am constantly surrounded by these "beta" fellas. Opinions?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
