What man would agree to have that kind of relationship? One with no compunction about lying?

I don't see the "volcano of rage seething" either... he seems to take some joy in making the environment nicer for the cats. Would be interesting to see why people think he dislikes the situation (except for the "if I were in his place, I'd hate it" argument).

Many luxury goods are desirable because they are expensive. Not many people would buy diamond rings if market price was $5 (even if it were perfectly identical to a $5,000 one).

if you have a life you love and is a genuinely content person, that shit will without fail attract women That condition is supremely vulnerable to the "no true Scotsman" argument. In addition, there is a bit of a circular argument in there as well: it's a bit difficult for a man to be genuinely content when he has zero prospects with women. Nobody's life is perfect, even people who are genuinely content and accomplished still have shit to deal with. Being the man you want to be and living the li…

Although this comment is witty and in the Red Pill spirit, it doesn't seem applicable to this case. If she wanted to lie, she could have easily said "5" instead of "50".

The "don't judge" mantra started out as an effort to prevent prematurely judging people based on their background, before getting to know them. Then it was cleverly deployed to justify compromising behaviors like promiscuity. Only a fool would refuse to judge someone they directly interact with and know based on their past actions, relevant to their current behavior.

There are few stupider things to do than fight for bankers, create more hate in the world and leech off taxpayers. Unfortunately, smart does not mean politically clued-in or impervious to "patriotic" propaganda.

Another twist: it turns out not to be a rumor, and the doc is asymptomatic.

If you want kids, child support is inevitable if their mother decides to split with you (or you decide to split, but I want to emphasize this is not under your control). You have no choice but to accept that as the cost of doing business. You don't have to get formally married to raise kids these days. Marriage won't help you keep a woman who intends to leave, but might help her get more of your assets. On the other hand, it still has a few remaining legal perks like tax and immigration.

On the other hand, self-identifying as an overachiever is an unmistakable mark of a douchebag, regardless of their actual achievements.

That's the PUA paradox. On one hand, there are proclamations about "abundance mentality" and "not putting pussy on a pedestal", while on the other, a typical PUA spends inordinate time in a not-so-enjoyable pursuit of running clown game on women who might be hot but are not worth all that much beyond the bedroom.

Cooking can be manly under the right circumstances, for a larger group (say, as a chef) , or on special occasions. Run of the mill preparation to just get a daily fill of food... not so much. Cleaning is a low-status job, not masculine. Sure, keep your pad clean, but don't let a woman see you cleaning. It's a minus unless you can compensate for it.

Mel Gibson should have known better. OK, to his credit, they got married in 1980 when family law biases (to put it politely) were not quite as widely known as they are today.

Females extracting resources from males for themselves and their offspring is nature (and not just in our species). Sure, the legal system is helping out here, that's the sensational bit.

Do you also get mad whenever you see a lion eating a zebra?

The problem with this is that converse doesn't hold. That innocent angel which made you wait months for sex may well have let other guys come in her ass the night they met her.

How laws and legal procedures actually work is not the same as how TRP thinks they should work. She has no grounds to sue in an ethical sense, but might in a legal sense, depending on the jurisdiction.

Most people I know credit their imaginary friend for many things, that doesn't make it true.

TRP is not a religion, we're still allowed to disagree on what comes across as arrogant. OP is not trying to pick up women here.

Maybe. I was only going by what you wrote. Last night I saw a great bouncer in action. A patron was breaking glasses and about to punch another guy. The bouncer was onto him within less than 10 seconds, and all the contact it took is pulling the shirt of the offender in a proper way, looking intimidating enough and shoving him out. Not even pushing, let alone punches. This from a 40 y.o. Chinese bouncer who was good 5cm shorter than the offender. Obviously, not all situations are like this, but …

Under 30, money doesn't matter so much (in the west). You're a hot young buck, and all you need is tight game to get them tingling. You can wear a cheap T-shirt showing off your rip muscles, drive a beater car, and take your chick to a tiny studio apartment in the sketchy part of town. No problem. Don't try this as you approach 40, it won't get you far (at least not with anywhere near desirable girls). As you get into your 30s, it takes more money to make women consider you. Not necessarily talk…

For a regular Joe, punching back when attacked would be fine. This may not be a popular view on this subreddit, but as a bouncer you handled the situation unprofessionally. The job is to kick rowdy patrons out of the club with minimal fuss (preferably before it escalates to a major disturbance), not to assault them. Doesn't matter what they've done to you -- you can press charges for that.

what the prevalence was before DNA testing Difficult to guess whether it was higher or lower. Strong societal shaming of female promiscuity surely was a counterweight.

I always wondered why bartenders have such a high apparent social value. It is obvious they aren't doing anything particularly complicated, nor getting paid much.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
