For me, it's really important to see the ugliness of this world and see how men think and talk. If they would say something like this on camera, imagine what they say behind closed doors. I just want to be aware and be reminded of how vile men can be and that they literally don't see us as human. I wanted FDS women to be reminded of this as well. I agree that fleeing is the best defense and it's important to be in peak physical condition. However, as we all know, most attackers are people we know. FDS advises against having male friends or spending time alone with men, but you never know when the situation could escalate. I think that practicing a self-defense sport will help me at least feel safer and more confident. Tasers, pepper spray and guns are not available in my country
