Would it still be that “women are happier single” if they didn’t get all the special treatment single women are freely given?I'm a 30 year old woman who is happy single and it's mostly because I have so many people that give me emotional support. I have loads of friends and family I express my emotions to and they offer me affection and kindness. I'm allowed to have this because of the perk of being able to be emotional and open without getting shit on. I wouldn't be opposed to dating if I met someone I was interested in but I don't feel a need for it as most of my needs are met through platonic relationships. The onl… | /r/MensRights | 20/04/24 11:28 AM
Could some kind gents give me some advice on the best way to help/advise one of my members of staff? It's not unprofessional at all, if personal issues are Impacting your work life, you should be able to speak about it and seek support from your employer. Employers/managers have a duty of care, we have support programmes for addiction, mental health, financial issues and legal advice. We subsidise therapy sessions, physiotherapy and have compassionate leave for those that need it. Its unprofessional to pry or force members of staff to speak about personal issues. Legally we have a "duty of care… | /r/MensRights | 02/04/24 09:00 AM

What will you guys definere as toxic masculinity?-raised as a feminist, now define myself as an egalitarian due to not wanting to be associated with toxic feminism traits. I was raised to believe that toxic masculinity was the unhealthy standards imposed upon men. I.e man up, needing to earn over a certain amount of income to be regarded as a real man and being victims of false allegations etc. As far as I knew, toxic masculinity was pro men and not an insult to masculinity. It was supposed to be a movement to eradicate these toxic stigmas? I … | /r/MensRights | 01/04/24 04:55 PM

Tell Me About A Man Who Changed Your LifeSounds really stupid but definitely my ex from 10 years ago. He was unconditionally kind, selfless, patient and calm. I was too young to appreciate it at the time and I wasn't very good to him. He is married now and is happy, I have been blocked ever since he met this woman. That's fair enough. I take comfort in the fact he got what he deserved. If it wasn't for him, I would have lost hope with men. I have had far too many unfortunate experiences with men, but because of him, I know good men exi… | /r/MensRights | 17/12/23 09:53 AM
Why do so many men hate this subI think the reality of this is men and women have their confirmation biases and genuinely believe their gender has it worse. Because why wouldn't they? They don't experience what the other gender does. Both "sides" fail to realise they're just as toxic as the gender they're complaining about, they're both hypocrites and both do the things they complain the other gender does. There is no victim, there is no gender that has it worse off in the western world, only individuals. This gender bullshit … | /r/MensRights | 19/06/23 01:41 PM
I'm tired of all the posts from other posts crying and whining about this subIt's so funny because I WAS a woman on both this sub and a woman's rights sub. I found myself getting boycotted for saying that "men weren't the problem, assholes were" and "not all men". I got either ignored or attacked for not perpetuating blanket statements, I hate them. This sub however I have received so much support and great conversation. Don't get me wrong, there are morons in this sub too but generally, I have found it great. I am apart of other woman's rights sub who are much better bu… | /r/MensRights | 09/03/23 08:09 AM

Men’s history monthIt's because a lot of female history is brushed under the rug and/or not known about. Women had to use pseudonyms or male aliases to achieve anything and a lot of it wasn't really documented very well. Women weren't allowed to do a lot of things and if they did, it wasn't seen as credible so it wasn't taken seriously. Most people don't know what Women have achieved so it kinda makes sense to have a Women history month. I usually agree with posts in this sub but this one is kinda common sense. It… | /r/MensRights | 06/03/23 01:37 PM
Found from niceguys - Guy asks for advice, gets antagonized and incel-shamed throughout thread insteadAgree, it's like the only reason 50 shades of grey was "hot" was because he had money. He would be a creep if he didn't. This is coming from a woman smh | /r/MensRights | 12/01/23 10:04 AM
Today I learned about preferential "woman only" parking spots. Apparently Germany started them in the 90s, and since then they've been quietly being implemented in more countries. When people said, "Great! what about men's parking spaces too?" the idea was universally shot down and ridiculedWhy do we need our own parking spaces? | /r/MensRights | 05/01/23 01:30 PM
How to deal with female bullies/offenders in future scenarios?Honestly, it's disgusting that men have to just put up with it because its a woman. I'm a woman and i strongly stand by if a woman puts her hands on a man, he has every right put her out. I've seen too many good men take abuse and I feel obliged to step in for them most of the time, if the legalities of it didn't prevent me from doing so. It really boils my piss. If you dont want to get knocked out, don't dish it out to begin with | /r/MensRights | 05/01/23 01:20 PM
I want a legitimate conversationGod the age old "all insert gender, religion, ethnicity are _______". Its so fucking stupid, there are 8 billion people on this planet and to claim to know every person included in your rant is so insanely stupid. As soon as people make blanket statements like that I just switch off and don't give them my time. Anyone stupid and arrogant enough to actually believe that isn't worth my oxygen. | /r/MensRights | 30/12/22 01:00 PM
Currently ostracised from my friend group for telling one of them that she man who got her pregnant shouldn't have to step up.Hard disagree, we are complex creatures and have evolved to benefit from sex beyond the primitive need for reproduction. Sex is an expression of love and intimacy between couples, it's a bonding exercise and perpetuates healthy relatiosionships. Outside of relationships sex is healthy, promotes the production of endorphins, good exercise and in a lot of cases, great for mental health. There is absolutely nothing wrong with sex outside of reproduction and a lot of health professionals encourage a… | /r/MensRights | 29/12/22 12:23 PM
Currently ostracised from my friend group for telling one of them that she man who got her pregnant shouldn't have to step up.Exactly, it's not just on him either. They should both have a choice. Protection was used, no one was reckless and he has just as much right to choose as she does | /r/MensRights | 29/12/22 12:12 PM
Currently ostracised from my friend group for telling one of them that she man who got her pregnant shouldn't have to step up.I agree with your statement, there is a time and place for it absolutely. In your situation, that was the best thing you and your friends did, you're a good friend. However I feel joining in with forcing a man to do something against his will and encouraging it isn't good in any situation. I don't think there is ever a good time for encouraging mysandry. But I do see your point and your feedback is appreciated | /r/MensRights | 28/12/22 10:10 PM
Currently ostracised from my friend group for telling one of them that she man who got her pregnant shouldn't have to step up.Exactly right but it's so counterproductive. I don't understand why people are perpetuating this, for the benefit of everyone it needs to stop, gender aside. Regardless of the stance you have on the issue, most people have men in their life they care about. Brothers, dad's, uncles, husbands, SONS etc. Why would women want these men to suffer like this. It so f-ing stupid and backwards. I've been wronged by men a lot in my life, as has EVERYONE with the opposite gender. Adopting this stupid attit… | /r/MensRights | 28/12/22 09:37 PM
Currently ostracised from my friend group for telling one of them that she man who got her pregnant shouldn't have to step up.Agreed. I missed my injection 8 years ago, informed the man I slept with of the situation and told him he has no obligation to my pregnancy. Fortunately we were both in agreement to terminate the pregnancy but I made it clear he didn't have to have anything to do with the situation. He decided to come with me to the doctors and the procedure etc, but I think that was more for his peace of mind, which is totally okay. 8 years on and we're still friendly acquaintances 🤣 | /r/MensRights | 28/12/22 08:32 PM
Currently ostracised from my friend group for telling one of them that she man who got her pregnant shouldn't have to step up.My point exactly but these views have been cultivated into ignorance. This poor guy is being for forced to pay child support for a kid he took every precaution to avoid and had no say in | /r/MensRights | 28/12/22 08:16 PM
Mass shooters are not a "toxic masculinity" problem. They're a product of men's inability to get help for mental health or suicidality. Here's proof:Would someone mind educating me please? I thought toxic masculinity was the definition of a man's inability to get help? I.e the "man up" stigma? Ex feminist, now egalitarian thanks to the enlightenment of this sub. | /r/MensRights | 28/11/22 11:34 AM
If a woman stops taking the pill to get pregnant, without the consent of the man she is sleeping with - is that also rape?I know sooooo many men this has happened to. My partner has a daughter because a woman lied about being on the pill, this same woman now has 5 kids from 5 different dads.....he didn't want kids. He's a wallet and a baby sitter for her now. Great kid, not so great mother A friend of mine has a daughter, which he can't see because she won't let him, because she had her coil removed and didn't tell him. He always wanted a daughter, he is now traumatised by the whole ordeal of court cases and false … | /r/MensRights | 28/11/22 11:28 AM
Would somebody mind giving me some advice on a potential male issue?Yes I fear driving home how this is making me unhappy may be the right way to go. It will upset him but it would be for the best. It's unfortunate you had to get to that point but I'm glad you had that realisation regardless | /r/MensRights | 24/11/22 01:33 PM
