This isn't good, guys. Don't upvote this shit. Focus on issues which negatively and/or disproportionately affect men.

If you can't be handsome, you can at least be handy.

English is her second language. She also said plumper instead of plumber. You miss the point entirely, she wants a husband not some ear rings.

I agree it's probably made up, but your reasoning is flawed, it basically boils down to: OP doesn't have the same kind of relationship with my brother that I do. Not a valid argument. and; A real man wouldn't just leave and then end up at a place like Starbucks. If I needed to vent, and I was a nerd addicted to the internet; I'd find the nicest, closest place I could with wifi. It's possible this happened, at least it isn't impossible that this happened. It does seem very dramatic, with the sedu…

Because young boys love to "rape" each other in video games on a fairly consistent basis, it's no wonder they grow up to actually rape women. Rape culture!

Yeah, I agree. The comments on the letter are a mix between praise and ridicule. Not completely divided by gender, though.

Very astute observations on the term "rape culture". I agree the topic is controversial. My point is that nowhere in the original article are the words "rape" or "rape culture" used.

Thanks for the correction. They were committed by athletes, but they weren't sexual. On June 21st 2012, UConn Men’s basketball becomes the first BCS school team to face a postseason ban based solely on low APR (Academic Progress Rate) scores. On October 6th 2012, Lyle McCombs is arrested on charges of second degree breach of peace for a domestic violence dispute in which hek. was, “yelling, pushing, and spitting at his girlfriend” during an argument outside a residence hall. On February 11th 201…

Yep, no mention of rape or rape culture. Just demonizing male attributes like power and aggression. I suppose a weak and timid mascot would better fit their athletics program? Two sexual assaults happened at UConn last semester, so endorsing this logo is clearly the same as endorsing those assaults....

I like this idea. There will always be separate sub reddits for men's and women's issues, but when you are talking to people just be honest. I'm for equal rights for all regardless of sex, race, etc. Men and women both have their own privileges and disadvantages, we shouldn't shy away from acknowledging them. (I'm hoping that the word "privilege" isn't so loaded that I shouldn't even use it..)

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
