All was well at first, then a new manager started. Real friendly guy. Except raises went down to the point that they would just keep up with inflation. No promotions. "But it's a great company to work for!". Negative encouragement was a norm because management knew I would take everything as constructive criticism, and not defend myself. I grow a pair of nuts.
