Regardless of the other person's sex you should apologize when you're wrong and you've inconvenienced someone for being wrong.

And you don't? This whole subreddit is a safe space, feel free to stand up on a soapbox, preach your message on a street corner, and watch yourself get mobbed down. I strongly believe in the proliferation of free thought.

Absolutely agree, at the end of the day, you should only answer to yourself.

Well the thing is, these institutions that I'm paying into also benefit me. It's good to know that if I'm unemployed, or sick, or in need of some assistance for any reason, there's options for me. I'm not a lazy guy, and I have to scrape through life for vacation days like everyone else, but the world is cruel to everyone and people make bad decisions all the time. It's nice to have a safety net. Social programs are one of the better ways our government spends money.

Even if they're bartenders or waitresses they pay taxes, right? Then there's sales taxes, property taxes, etc. Yeah it was toxic from day 1. People were telling me how awful it is the first week I started, I was a fool to stay for half a year.

Hindsight is 20/20. If a single mom is struggling theres an innocent child involved that does not deserve to suffer because its mother was irresponsible. Yes, people make bad choices, all of us do. I quit my job last week and am looking for another, do I not deserve unemployment just because I left a toxic situation? The state recoups these costs through the taxes I pay out of every check. Every person is an investment, and to a government that takes your money before you even see it, in most ca…

Mojo I appreciate this reply and I absolutely agree. Although I would never compromise my autonomy with just one philosophy or one reddit thread, the reason I've been asking these questions is because I agree with around 30% of what I've read on this subreddit prior to creating this post but thats far from being convinced. These insights have proven valuable, especially considering the diversity of the responses I've received.

I can wrap my head around this to an extent, but there's tradeoffs to every relationship you enter in life, love, and business. What makes women more unique than anyone/any entity capable of fucking you over? Is it satisfying living your life expecting half the planet to do whatever it takes to ruin you?

How would a pragmatic person interpret MGTOW philosophy?

I'm all for redistribution of wealth, concentrated upon those that need it most. If that includes single moms (which it definitely does) I encourage their prosperity. You're only as strong as your weakest link, right?

Not sure specifically what a concern troll is but I'm not trolling in any way, I've been very curious about these things and I appreciate all the contributions made on this thread.

20-30 years ago the landscape for women was definitely different. These heavy protections for women in family law were put forth because the man made the money and held absolute power in whats supposed to be an equal marriage, and it was cliche for the woman to be cheated on 20 years into a marriage, much like how its cliche for a man to be cheated on today. This cliche that has worn out over the past 20-30 years has been going strong since man first roamed the earth, women have only recently be…

It turns out I may have been confusing this subreddit with theredpill at times (the ideas and subscribers overlap alot), but basically the opposite of theredpill. I checked the bluepill but its not the opposite, it just parodies and ridicules some of the crazy talk that goes on in that subreddit. I'm assuming the "feminazi SJWs" also have a subreddit?

I like this advice and will read into the sidebar links when I can find them (using a reddit client on my Android). You used alot of slang unique to this subreddit that I am unfamiliar with but will look into. I don't like the M&M analogy because you can apply it to any type of group in the world. Most groupings of people you can imagine have a few bad M&Ms in them.

I'm sorry for not answering you properly, I wasn't sure how to answer because I come across all sorts of people everyday. In the job I just quit the problem was a very awful man. I do not live a charmed life, I've spent my whole life in poverty, running from evictions, and working harder than those around me for less benefit. I've struggled with unwarranted violence, robbery, being thrown under the bus, and abuse in toxic environments. Comparitively to others, I'm sure my life is better than man…

What subreddit is the female equivalent of this one? I think I would like to ask these questions to them too because I consider this thread to be successful, at least for me.

Thats a great philosophy to follow, but what does that have to do with women? If women don't matter, why is this subreddit ultimately dedicated to them? What does it say about this community when one of the most outspoken persons on this thread is a 26 year old virgin? I'm a late bloomer myself, and yes I could not have sex until I was 20 because I was an inadequate and unattractive person and yes it does say something when someone cannot have sex until they're in their 20s.

I came in with no expectations and have learned a little bit through this thread. My big questions: what should I take away from this subreddit and what are the overarching benefits and implications from subscribing to this philosophy?

Women are advised not to leave the house alone at dark in India because of the rampant sexual assaults. I absolutely do not agree with suppression of free thought, whether or not I agree. I do believe that rape is traumatic, so while this leaves room for vindictive false claims, it ideally protects those who are paralyzed by fear or trauma. I've seen many false rape accusations in college (I was falsely accused once, luckily didn't end up with my reputation damaged at all because she gave up imm…

So are you immune to the influence of women? What about sex?

Well if I was a woman, I think I would do all I can to advance myself and my own interests, and the interests of those important to me. In fact, as a man I do just that (I'm not a bad person though that would file false police reports or rip off someone after 20 years together). Is it natural for people to push off eachother in any way possible? Should you hate the human or humanity?

Sorry for the delays in my replies, I was scrolling through the top, all-time posts in this subreddit and it really does make me hate women, but I feel like I should only hate THOSE women and not all in general. I saw a post ripped from Facebook about a very common and cliche scenario about a man loving his wife and kids, getting cheated on, and losing his kids through no fault of his own, it was a comic strip. That kind of scenario is very common and it makes me feel like I can trust no woman, …

I would still say it's 50/50 for me. In fact, times when I was taken advantage of or belittled by another man were more impactful and less voluntary. I think about the times that I may have given a woman a slight advantage and it was usually because I wanted to get laid (I ran a party house in college). On the other hand, my sister embodies everything you guys hate about women, and seriously, shes a cunt. As a new professional living in a super liberal corner of the US (not saying more for anony…

What event or idea triggered your individual realizations that this philosophy is correct? Do you consider opposite viewpoints or just callously attack SJWs while they do the same? Are you at war? I have alot of questions and can only articulate them a few at a time.

Did they experience this adversity because the women ARE women, or because they're shitty people? There's alot of broad sweeping generalizations made about 51% of the Earth's population. Also, what's the end game? As I lurked, I hear alot about reclaiming power. Does this mean reclaiming it to an equal status or an exhalted status? Whats the dichonomy of power right now and what is the ideal ratio?

But what concerns me is for every anecdote one may have where a woman has scorned him, theres another for a time a man has scorned a woman, man scorned man, woman scorned woman. I like to think of myself as a center-lane kind of guy. I don't understand the points made here, and to be fair I don't understand the SJWs either. I understand whats been identified as the problems, maybe insight into the proposed solutions can provide me the understanding of these points that I need. At face value, to …
