24	[VENT + Advice] Arranged Marriages and parents I had the same experiences and so did my sister. The truth is that you’ll have to look out for your own interests. What mattered to my mother was what people thought.. primarily, how educated and well off her potential SIL would be. It’s a pride and appearance thing.
