Vasopressin is a hormone involved in retaining water and dilating blood vessels primarily, though it also has some roles in the central nervous system. Both men and women have vasopressin. There was one study showing a correlation between vasopressin and male bonding which is what I assume you are referring to, but the human brain is extremely complex.
