It's called a rhetorical device. for example, I might say that "if the folks at the CIA and Pentagon were smart, they would embrace industry and diplomacy over war." Get it now? This is all so tiresome. Why not fight on behalf of real human rights issues, like fathers being prevented from seeing their children, or men being sentenced to 63 percent longer sentences, or male genital mutilation etc.?

Britain never tied civic obligations (beyond paying taxes in Scot and lot boroughs) to voting. 40 percent of British men who died in WWI did not have the right to vote. Judgy Bitch has a great one for anti-feminism. It's a play on the silly feminist slogan "the radical notion that women are human beings": "the radical notion that women are adults." I like the phrase "men are human doings, not human beings." It suggests that men are only valued for their utility to women and "society". However that's probably a little too deep for a slogan.
