I don't know, I live in flyover land and there are so many hot guys here and the women mostly are overweight and rough. I do hang at dive/biker bars, so my outlook might be a bit skewed.

It would be impossible for it to happen to our hero because it's all planned out perfectly, and you know that plans never go awry.

Women do actively try for guys they want (and not always the Chad), but we are more subtle and use hints and hair flips. Men are just notoriously terrible at recognizing these gestures.

Yes, exactly!

Lol, and then that wonderful village girl is brought to the US, becomes Americanized, and turns into the very thing he was trying to avoid. I have seen this twice, and it's hilarious because the guys, on both occasions, were complete asses.

If a guy asks me out and then asks me for money for mine, I assume he is either poor or cheap. I'm more than willing to pay for drinks or dessert afterwards, though. I'm not willing to date a penny-pincher or someone in constant need of money. I'm not a charity, LOL!

I can't think of a time when a man I was with was even slightly abusive, but then again, adoration is a prerequisite to dating me.

I agree. Men tend to build and women tend to decorate.

Porn fits with my pill position perfectly: I don't watch porn and I don't have a pill position.

You are acting like a spoiled brat instead of an adult woman. If moving in together is a deal breaker, then don't. You decided to break your rule of not living together before marriage, but now you are making him pay for it. It is petulant and passive aggressive, and you are only hurting yourself by agreeing to buy furnishings that you hate. If you continue to act this way, he will certainly rethink marriage.

I never went through a man-hating phase; men are fun, entertaining, and easy to manipulate. It is easy to flirt, hair flip, bat eyelashes, and watch them fall all over themselves to do your bidding. Who would hate that?

it just seemed like he was putting himself in a situation that could potentially upset me just to see how I would react I don't think this was what he was doing. He was in a bad mood and you were poking the bear. Next time he's not in a good mood, go make yourself useful somewhere else and leave him alone.

I think your comment is fine; I never said to leave, I only said to not marry. But, I do believe that she will continue to look beyond her relationship at other men and become emotionally involved with them, even if it might be one-sided and even if she never acts on those emotions. It might be best for her to stay in her current relationship, but it might not be best for her fiancee. I still stand by my comment that if she were wildly attracted to her fiancee, she wouldn't be looking outside he…

Do people date now? I thought it was all hookups leading to Netflix and chilling.

Please do not marry your fiancee; if you were wildly attracted to him, you wouldn't be crushing on another man. Basically, he is your Plan-B, your fallback. You will always be comparing him to whomever you are attracted to at the moment. As far as the "unhappily" married "best friend", you need to leave him alone and quit tempting him. It's much easier for him to be "unhappy" when an unmarried girl is whispering in his ear.

How old are the two of you, and how long have you been married?

She is seriously stressed out and crying about it all not being elaborate or showy enough. This is a huge red flag; you are raising a daughter who will never be satisfied with anything.

I joined Bumble recently, after a six-plus year break from dating. I’m not overly interested in dating in the first place, but I’m starved for adult conversation so dating feels like a necessary evil. Why doe she have to date to talk to an adult? Doesn't she have any female friends? Doesn't she work with adults? Churches/book clubs/volunteer positions/bars are full of adults; is she unable to do any of those? But, feminist or not, the men are no different from the men anywhere else and I quickly…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
