Statistical failures of birth control, financial and social access limitations to birth control, flaws inherent to humans' ability to be consistent and responsible, rape, etc. are all factors that make some, if not the majority of women in the world less than absolutely and totally in control of their reproduction. As for the father or mother automatically getting custody of children if there is a breach of trust or breaking of a promise, what if the betrayed partner is just a bad parent--e.g. Daddy cheated on Mommy, so Mommy gets custody even though she's an abusive alcoholic. Alternatively, Mommy got an abortion even though Daddy wanted the baby, so Daddy gets custody even though he's neglectful and not a good father. 0	Preparing for massive downvotes, but would like to share my opinion I support gender equality. But, overall, I have to say I agree with the OP's stance more than the opposing commentors'. I often visits /r/mensrights, mostly because I empathize with a lot of the men who are put into horrible situtations or have to deal with false accusations or legal discrimination just because of their gender.
