As an older woman, this all seems so crazy and frankly, trivial, to me. Over the years I have been curvy, plus size, to pretty fat, to very thin. I got tired of being the default parent and assumed household manager. It pushed me unwillingly into the role of “mean mom” to my partner. I had my first child at 19. Because of my age, it was treated as a high risk pregnancy. I also have lasting issues with my teeth and a few other small things because of the demand it placed on my body before I was fully finished developing myself - and I wasn’t super young.
