Rather than taking on the great cause of total gender equality or "mens rights," it probably makes sense to take something near and dear to your heart and advocate it. In my case, the bias in divorce proceedings harms me personally and not a single person I've talked to hasn't been sympathetic. Including women.

I think women who seek child support from non-fathers are a pretty small minority. Probably amount as small as the number of men who purposefully poke holes in condoms. Because two reasons. It should be legal for an 18 year old to have sex with a 17 year old. So having the age of consent at 18 is not a very good idea. According to Nebraska law, a 16-year-old can consent to sex. Lofing's case was classified as a misdemeanor case of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Unfortunately, Colorado isn't a rehabilitory alimony state. So even though she can go get a job making $200,000/yr, unless she does, precedent has been set for what she's expected to do. The main benefit I have going is that we can probably try to get her past income averaged into this. That should reduce my liability. Then, if she wants to earn more than that (which she will), she'll have to get a job. Once she does and she's earning more than me, we can probably get off the crazy train.
