I see this here a lot, so I decided to go search for what r/Feminism thinks. All the top rated comments are either "no draft" or "draft should be equal". I think feminism GENERALLY says that women should also get drafted. I don't know, I'm happy for someone to prove me wrong. Can anyone show me evidence that mainstream feminism wants to keep the draft sexist? My first five google hits were also all feminists asking for equality in the draft....

It just seems like such a bizarre thing to complain about. If I saw an exactly equal scenario for prostate cancer I don't think I'd post it on a feminist subreddit. I don't think I'd feel discriminated against. I don't think I'd even think twice about it.

I think the problem is you saying "I didn't see any of this discrimination, I just assumed it was there" is not really a "story of inequality". Do you think you could have been in trouble with the law for running for charity? I can't tell who's serious and who's joking on this site anymore.

Uh...is it just be or does there to be a big difference in the signs and the intention behind them? The lady uses her's to sell her house. Not saying it's a good way to sell your house, but on some level as well as shaming her husband she wants attention to sell her house. I think the dude put up the sign purely to say fuck you wife. This isn't going to be very helpful but I just wanted to say you have a strong case and it should work out for you but you might have to put a lot more money and time into this than is right or fair. I agree with this. Shouting "BUT THE FEMINSITS DID THE WRONG THING FIRST" is the same two wrongs make a right principle that leads feminism to minimise men's issues due to inequalities in the past. Also, I would hope that most people nowadays call themselves anti-racists, no? Though I agree that this is one of the most bullshit things I've ever heard. (If you want to give a tax break to second earners in families, what the christ is wrong with calling it lowering taxes on second earners) the proposition is "lower taxes for women" not "higher taxes for men", Your anger is still in principle correct but you're always better off stating things factually it's easier to defend your point and people can't accuse you of skewing facts to fit you're story.

I think we are both extremely frustrated by the words of the most vocal individuals being used to characterize and discredit a movement. The point of my post is to show the different ways it can be framed. I stated in the next line how that loss of privilege can be viewed as gaining the privilege to stay at home.
