At our church they had a couple evening where the pastor actually explained the biology of the male sex drive and just how important it was in a marriage. I never fully understood it before then!

1) personally, i think its important my husband is sexually satisfied, and I want to be the person making sure he is! 2) i earn more than my husband so.. not relevant 3) no because that makes marriage pointless, may as well be flatmates 5) if that man was my husband, and he wanted sex, then yes. He also has 'acts of service' as his love language so i would do nice things for him too. For me sex= love, i realise that's not the same for many people

Well new Zealand is now considered the third fattest nation so it's not like she was lying

I've got a radiation therapist degree. Awesome job, pays well in new Zealand. Wouldn't recommend it to anyone starting out now though the job market is completely saturated new graduates can't get jobs in many countries

When asking friends for advice on relationships the default answer is usually 'just make him do it' or 'put your foot down ' I think the moral I should take from that is stop asking people for advice and just figure it out for myself. It's hard not asking those kind of questions though it's how girls bond!

I always give my husband the bigger piece of chicken. He's a guy so needs more protein than me. I thought that was a no brainer?

I dated my now husband back when i was 22 BECAUSE he was so nice. He was so polite and considerate compared to all the losers my friends dated. He was my first boyfriend and i definitely don't regret it. He does however have some 'alpha' traits eg. doesn't put up with my crap, works out (hot!!!) etc but he would have seemed like a 'beta' to other people. Hes also 3 years younger than me so i was 22, he was 19. Been together 9 years, married for 6 :)

I wish my boss would give me some negative feedback so I could improve myself. The workplace has gotten too pc and it's annoying. I know I'm far from perfect!

its definitely true for shift workers, as your body clock goes nuts. The cell cycle is actually linked to the circadian one. there is a journal article i have read about this called: 'Circadian Expression of Clock Genes in Human OralMucosa and Skin' (American Journal of Pathology, Vol. 158, No. 5, May 2001) Personally though, when i used to do a lot of overtime and work some weekends, i found it hard to sleep, was always stressed, began to hate coming to work. With encouragment from my husband, …

I'm not a full redpill woman either, however when I found this sub a few weeks ago a lot of the things discussed here really clicked with me. So I'm trying to slowly adopt these ideas bit by bit into my marriage as I see mine and my husband's parents dynamics and I don't like what I see. In answer to your question though, I personally hardly ever feel horny and then 'feel like' having sex, probably because I'm on the pill. Sex to me is more an expression of love than a need. So when my husband s…

I'd like to disagree as our female prime minister in New Zealand was very good, however if you google her she had a voice like a man and was probably the most unfeminine woman in politics so maybe she's an exception? :)

yeah especially when the tell people that once you're married your sex life dies. I like having sex with my husband because i love him.

i don't think kids would idolize her either as its not being a good role model to neglect your health. They could have the prince and princess being more average looking but still fit and kind which would be much better than a fat princess

my husband is 3 years younger than me, met at age 22 and 19, married 5 years. I personally liked that he was younger, but also very mature for his age compared to guys my age anyway

luckily both me and my SO hate watching sports on tv (except the Olympics). I might watch if it was the finals in the rugby world cup and New Zealand was playing, thats about it. I really don't care who wins, so why would i waste 80mins finding out? :)

me and SO both like receiving gifts, so we still celebrate but make sure its about both of us not just one person. we don't usually go for romantic gifts, just stuff we know the other person will like. One year I got him a computer game that he wanted. Ill probably bake him a cake this year too as he has a massive sweet tooth!

We met at university, I was 22, he was 19. First noticed how nice and polite he was and his great sense of humour. Got married by age 25, been married 5 years. Love everything about our life together :-)

exactly. i wouldn't want to wear stuff he doesn't like anyway. he makes an effort to look nice, why shouldn't I?

Sometimes my husband buys me dresses for birthdays, and he is great at picking things that suit me and fit really well. I like wearing them cos they look good and I definitely know he likes them because he picked it! Just to clarify he doesn't pick all my outfits, I'm not a doormat, and we have a great partnership :-)

Yeah, and that they have the insight to reflect on why they aren't as happy as they expected. My sister is one of those feminists. She has had a very hard life so I can understand her anger, I just want her to find someone and finally be happy.

I've found that it's actually impossible to reason with them. It's best just to lead by example. 90 percent of the women I know who always insisted 'they don't believe in marriage' have gotten married, and this is in a country where legally after living together for 2 years you are treated the same as a married couple, even when splitting up. The other 10 percent don't have a SO. I assume they'll get it eventually, hopefully not too late.

Yeah this particular one wouldn't work for us. I'm better at remembering to pay bills and better at saving. We've got a joint account. Neither of us will usually buy anything over $150 without getting the ok from the other (if it's something not for both of us) so we're both in the loop financially and it works well :-)

an important one for me is to try to be content with my situation and not get bogged down with negativity. eg: 1) in my profession (radiation therapy) many people travel all over the world for work, I have not. I really should be happy that I have a great job, friends and husband. 2) major earthquakes in my city have meant our house has been unlivable for the past 3 years while waiting for the insurance company to hurry up and get on with rebuilding. What i should focus on is that fact that we'l…

I got slack from some people for wanting to take my husband's last name when I got married. One relative suggested hyphenation, and I said that was stupid. Didn't realise she had a hyphenated last name whoops :-)

My husband is into it, so one day just decided to go to a gym and get some personal trainer sessions. If you do that get a guy who is into serious training. You won't get massive because it's pretty hard for girls to get big unless you do it on purpose :-)

Thanks for all your comments everyone it's good to hear it's not like that for all couples you've definitely given me something to think about
/r/RedPillWomen25/01/14 05:42 PM

thats kind of what i thought but wasn't sure. she did admit its not that shes tired from the kids just that she never feels like it. I feel a bit sorry for her husband
/r/RedPillWomen25/01/14 01:42 AM
2

thats how i feel too which is why the idea of kids puts me off as i value my marriage very highly. I'd hate to find out my husband thought i was ignoring his needs over the kids
/r/RedPillWomen25/01/14 01:24 AM
3

thanks for that :)
/r/RedPillWomen25/01/14 01:21 AM

that sounds tough. job+kids seems to be the hardest of all. I don't have kids so i have no idea how you find enough hours in the day. By 'career' women i meant more people like me with no kids. I have heard people at work complaining about mothers that stay home as 'having it easy' and management is not supportive of new mums 'only' working part-time instead if full-time when they come back to work.

I really admire people who stay at home with their kids it's so underrated in society I think you're awesome
/r/RedPillWomen24/01/14 04:56 AM

I've had people try to make me feel bad for cleaning my teeth before I leave work so I have minty fresh teeth when I kiss my husband hello when I get home. Why should they care how I live my life? I personally don't have kids but many of my friends do. I don't think 'career' women realise how HARD being a homemaker is! Spending just an hour with a toddler is exhausting. Work is pretty easy by comparison. (just my observation) some people just like to project their own unhappiness on others.

I get this at lot. I've said to people that I want to move overseas for a while but my husband doesn't want to. The reply is always 'why don't you just go without him' or 'make him go' whereas my response to that is that I love my husband and would rather be married to him than move overseas. People don't seem to get it tho.
/r/RedPillWomen23/01/14 11:16 PM

oh my goodness i know SOO many people who need to hear this! Im glad i didn't waste my 20s - got a great career and a great husband at 30 :)
/r/RedPillWomen23/01/14 05:00 AM

i also have this problem, escpecially noticeable when we are flying out somewhere. I always freak out if were not there really early, my husband insists on getting there in the nick of time no matter what I say. To be honest we have have NEVER missed a flight or been late, so my fears are completely unwarranted. Its still hard to give up the worries however
/r/RedPillWomen22/01/14 06:20 PM

At work I am very direct and to the point. In a female dominated workplace it often shocks people. I just don't enable the brain to mouth filter there, but it gets enabled sometimes at home with my husband automatically for some reason. It takes great effort to shut it off :-)
/r/RedPillWomen21/01/14 04:46 PM
3

Yeah its weird that we expect men to read our minds :-)
/r/RedPillWomen21/01/14 04:16 PM

I realised a long time ago men don't understand woman code. When my sister was in hospital she asked her SO to text her when he went to bed. As women we took that to mean: 'text me something nice later tonight to make me feel better' he later text saying: 'I'm going to bed now'
/r/RedPillWomen21/01/14 05:25 AM

Good point :-)

Personally my husband would be really annoyed with me if we went that far the wrong way and I didn't let him know. Doesn't really fit with the whole 'captain and first mate' philosophy. I definitely think the other sentiments ring true however. That being said I have the worst sense of direction so the likelihood of the scenario happening in real life is pretty much zero
/r/RedPillWomen20/01/14 04:45 PM

Same with my husband. He's more hot than cute as he gets older but still cute sometimes :-)
/r/RedPillWomen20/01/14 05:23 AM

i usually call men 'cute' when they have younger looking faces ie 'baby face' which is not a bad thing at all. It definitely means there is attraction there. I'd be more worried if they called you cute and then patted your head or something

I make nearly twice what my husband does, but it doesn't impact our relationship at all. He brings a lot to the relationship that has nothing to do with money. It just so happens my profession in new Zealand pays higher than many other 3 year degrees

Hehe I definitely need my husband to zip me up in a few of the dresses I own. :-) one time at a conference in another city I nearly couldn't get out of a dress at the end of the conference dinner and it almost came down to having to sleep in it. Luckily my female workmate came back to the hotel eventually and helped me out

hi there 30y old female radiation therapist, married to a 27 year old fantastic guy. Just have a couple of questions about redpillwomen. 1) Would you guys vote the same politically even if you have opposing views? Im more into environmental issues and my husband is more likely to vote for bettering the economy. In New Zealand people aren't really into politics in a big way so its not a big deal but interested to know how it is for others? Also 2) As a radiation therapist in New Zealand I make re…

I worry about the wall too as my husband is a lot better looking than me to start with (he's 27 I'm 30). In the last year I've put on a lot of muscle from lifting and my husband says I look better than when I met him which is nice :-) healthy looking is much better than being stick skinny like I used to be
/r/RedPillWomen13/01/14 05:26 PM

He was pretty surprised but was happy I finally acknowledged his views. I feel bad it took this long we've been married 5 years!

I would definitely prefer if my husband told me when it was relatively easy to make the change. It can be hard to notice weight gain on yourself. You should care about yourself and keeping yourself attractive for your partner especially when you're married
