In this specific instance I thought they had no supervision and were left to survive in the wilderness. In that case they are learning to make decisions.

Harsh environments prepare children, man or women to be more durable. It teaches them to make decisions on their own and they benefit from all of this. That's the point of man up camp.

No it's not. It's not a gender role camp. It's a man up camp. In these times kids need something of that sort. Of course letting them starve to death is madness. It must've been an ultra man mode camp.
